I'm someone who wants to do their very best in order to achieve any and all goals that are set. I want to care for animals and be able to live life to the fullest extent upon achieving my dream job as a veterinarian. I want to give back to all that have aided me and then some, because I want to continue being the giving person that people have told me I am.
All the wants, all the dreams, all the goals, I'm carrying with a burning passion that sets my heart ablaze. I'm not ever going to sit down and be satisfied with myself when I know that I'm capable of doing more, so I'm going to push beyond my limits (with breaks to prevent burnout, of course), and be number 1 for both me and everyone support me. I have a dream of becoming a veterinarian, and I'm not going to stop until I have the skill set to tend for all animals in need.

I try my best to have a positive outlook on life. No matter the circumstances, I will try to see the good in it to the beat of my abilities. This isn't something easy, or that's mastered overnight, as I struggle with this still, but it's how I try to see the world. The world is an interesting place to say the least. A place that isn't always the most happiest, so to try and add to the world's joyful manner, even when there's seemingly nothing but gloom. I prefer a brighter world, and a brighter outlook helps me feel as if I contribute to such.
Now, what does that have to do with my mental health, and how does my mental health affect this outlook? That's simple to answer. Similar to a lot of people, the way that I view the world can change based on how I'm feeling. I try my best to stay in a good mood, and my outlook on the world is meant to reflect such despite the mood that I'm in. You see, I am human like anyone else. Meaning that I am going to always have my ups and downs in life, along with moments that put me in a low mood. With that said, I don't want to ever think of the world in a poor light just because I am feeling down. I want to still have this positive outlook on the word. Whether that be that the world can get better in the future, or if it's just me finding the positives in things that look like they're only ever negative. I know things won't stay well forever, but having a mindset like this helps me to begin the process of making things well again.
According to those close to me, I'm a pretty nice person. Kind, considered, and hopeful through and through. The way that I am described, then way that I am, it all makes me think differently about life. It makes me want to see the better in the world despite all that I have been through. Nothing limits my mindset when it comes to how I look at life and the world around me. Not even my own experiences that have brought me down. I want to continue to have faith in everyone and everything, and that's my outlook on life despite all of my challenges throughout it.
Mental Health Importance Scholarship
Why is my mental health important? Not only is it because it's a part of my health, but because it's a core part of my health. If my mental health goes down, the chances are that my physical health will too. My mental health is the key to it all. Without a good me tal health, I'll often feel unmotivated, find it hard to get any sort of motivation at all to do anything, my social life plummets, I sometimes even feel ill, and there's so much more behind all of those things. My mental health is important because it is what keeps me going the most. Without it, I quickly fall into a pit of despair. One that's truly difficult to get out of.
To combat my poor mental health, I've found many ways over the years to assist in keeping up my mental wellness. In case you don't know, mental wellness refers to how your mental health is, similarly to how you physical wellness refers to how you are physically. Everyone has different ways to maintain their own mental wellness, and for me, that's by doing the things that I enjoy most. This consist of playing video games, listening to music, watching movies, watching anime or whatever TV series that I've started, talking with a friend, exercise, going for walks, playing with my animals, etc. I try my best to give myself as many options as possible so that I can either bring up or maintain my mental wellness.
When my mental health is depleting, I often find myself struggling to think of things that I can do to make me feel better, and get bored of different things more easily than I normally would. So, I give myself as much interesting things as I can to do in order to go against this. By expanding my options, I not only find new interests, but I also make sure that the things that I enjoy doing don't grow stale and boring. Also, The things that I've chosen to do are vague due to the choice of varieties when doing them. For example, when I'm playing video games, I could be playing any of the many games that I own. When watching anime, I can watch whatever I want to that would set my mind at ease. There's much more to the little that I list.
In conclusion, mental health is a very important thing to me. Without it, I feel down and distant from both the world and myself. To keep it up, I do the things that I would enjoy, and I encourage others to do the same. Mental health isn't something that should be dismissed. It's wellness should be maintained before it has the chance to go down, and if it ever does go down, one should try to bring it up with the things that they enjoy most.
Mental Health Empowerment Scholarship
As a student, mental health is something that i have to be on top of every single day. If I'm not taking care of my mental health, then I'll have a lot more problems stemming from how I act to how efficiently I'll be able to work. I need to have my mental health at a point where it's not plummeting because if it is, I'm not going to be able to get much of anything done, and knowing myself, as well as my mindset, it won't get any better. It'll continue to get worse before eventually settling in for the next few days. It's a drag, and those around me seem to feel the drag that it is whenever such is the case.
Thankfully, those around me don't just sit back and watch me carry such a thing over my head. They comfort me, talk to me, ask me what's wrong and show that they care. Thus bringing my mental health back up so that I can get back on the grind. How I advocate for mental health is by doing similar. I treat people's mental health the same way that I treat physical health. I ask the same, if not similar questions about it to make sure that one is ok. Then, as I do often with my partner, I'll remind them how important their health is and talk about it accordingly to the situation at hand.
Another way that I advocate for mental health everywhere is in a program known as the "Rosa Parks Program." Here, mental health is a common topic. Us teens, along with the adults, are able to freely express and speak about our mental health, what could be bothering us, what can help with our situations, who we have to go to for help with mental health problems, and so much more. It's really helpful to us all, especially me, someone who does need these friendly reminders of things like that. On top of the Rosa Parks Program, I'm currently in traning for mental health awareness thanks to the program over my job, GDYT (Growth Detroit Youth Talent). They are teaching us all about mental health, mental health crisis, what it means when you have poor mental health, signs of such, what could come from it, resiliency, what helps out with it all, and much more. We're all learning this since we will be working with others and helping to advocate for it in both our fields of work, as well as home, school, and our community as a whole.
In conclusion, mental health is very important to me. If my mental health is poor, things will not get done, and my mental health is only going to get worse from there. That's why I stress about keeping up a good mental health by doing the things that I enjoy, as well as encourage others to do the same so that they don't fall into any holes of despair. It stops you from wanting to do the things that you enjoy, and for anyone like myself, that could lead to a lot more thoughts. Mental health is very important and takong care of it should always be one of, if not your main priority.
Minecraft Forever Fan Scholarship
As someone who's been playing Minecraft for quite a while now, I have to say that my favorite aspect had, and always will be the freedom to create whatever you'd like. Minecraft is one of those rare games where quite literally nothing is off the table. If you can think it, there's a high chance that you can create it. Minecraft is the definition of what gamers, like myself, call an open world sandbox. If you don't know, the term "open world" refers to a player's freedom to explore. If the game is an "open world game," that means that the player the map freely as it generates while you do so, making for little to none loading screens due to the fact that the world around you is alive and continues on with life despite you not being there. As for the term "sandbox," it's like real life. A sandbox means that you can create whatever you want as the game provides you the tools and let's you do whatever your creative mind can think of with the game.
To go more into details about these things, we have to talk a little about the game itself. Minecraft opens the doors for players to do as they please with all the resources that the developers can give them. From the animals and mobs (mosters in the game), to the various block and all of their variations, Minecraft doesn't hold back. There's no pay walls for any of these things either, so it welcomes people in and let's them unleash their full potential as they please. Seeing everyone, from children to adults alike, create so many things is truly amazing. Whether that be in the game's creative mode, or if people decide to really show off what they can do by making things in the game's survival mode, it's all a wonder.
Growing up, I inspired to be like all of the Minecraft YouTubers that created all of these cool things like an entire laboratory, and arena made out of diamonds and obsidian, amazing looking tree houses and mansions that I could only wish I was able to build, secret underground bases, and so much more. Growing up, this was the coolest thing ever. Then, I discovered mods, which are usually community created add-ons to a game, and this turned the open world sandbox into a world of truly endless possibilities. Nothing was off limits, and that made this game on of my favorites to both watch people play and play myself.
Minecraft truly does offer an unlimited amount of possibilities, and all of them makes this game astonishing. To be able to go into a game, not having to pay anything more than the initial amount to buy the game itself, and have an entire world at your disposal sets it apart from all other games. It's my favorite part about the game. Having all of the creative liberty in the world in this one game turned it into something special for me. Something that I couldn't get enough of and wanted to keep playing so that my creative mind could keep coming into playa every time that I picked up my controller and loaded in the game. The creative aspects of Minecraft is my favorite, and for those with or even without much of a creative mind, I'd recommend the game to see what you too can create, and often destroy if you're like me.
Mark Caldwell Memorial STEM/STEAM Scholarship
Hi. My name is Malcolm Cowart, and I have troubles with anxiety. Specifically, I have troubles when it comes to social anxiety. If you don't know what this means, it means that I struggle to talk to people. I'll often struggle to think of what I want to say, and when I do know what I want to say, I'll struggle to get it out and fear what the other person, along with anyone else around, will think about me because of what I said. Now, this doesn't happen all of the time, but it is pretty common. Especially in my younger years of life, starting in third grade
When I reached the third grade, my social anxiety began to develop and show in full. I felt like people disliked me all around for talking, so I opted to stay quiet. With such silence came a lot of other thoughts such as how I wasn't anything special and could be easily replaced since nobody seemed to care much at all about me or how I was. This kept me in my own shell of sorts, as I would refuse to talk to anyone aside from a friend that I made later on in the year. Said friend was only approachable due to our mutual liking towards the Sonic franchise. For a while, he would be my only friend because it turned out that we had much more in common than just that, and shared a lot of the same interest, making him the easiest to talk to in our shared class, and for a whole, I was satisfied with that.
However, more trouble would arise as time went on. As my first friend and I drifted apart, I made other friends, but they were more outgoing, meaning they were hanging out with other people as much as they did with me. This was fine, but it did leave me with a strange feeling. A feeling that I could easily be left behind and forgotten because of how I came to be. Thoughts that, even today, still linger as I struggle to naturally join a group full of mutual friends because I don't know them and fear what they'll think and how my actual friend will think of me after the interaction. My partner has seen me struggle to join and linger around the area while they talk to their friends because of my social anxiety quite a few times now.
What has helped me to overcome all of these troubles though has been learning to get comfortable outside of my comfort zone. What do I mean by that? I mean that I've had to push myself to talk more whenever I could so that I could get more and more used to it with other people. Regardless of if they were a familiar face or not, this push helped me to become a better speaker. My partner, who was only my friend at the time, really helped with this process as well. They would talk to me all the time, giving me chance after chance to come out and soak to them more. Something that not a lot of people did. My partner and all the motivation I had built up along the way to this point in time is what really pushed me to overcome my social anxiety, and despite it still being there, I'm working harder than ever to make all the gray areas outside of my comfort zone more comfortable for me to stay in.
Team Crosby Forever Veterinary Medicine Scholarship
The reason that I've chosen to study veterinary medicine is because I want to help animals and people alike so that we all may continue living together and thrive in life alongside one another. By studying this field, I can learn so many things about animals that will enable me to help them. To me, that means a lot and is more than worth the price of college. Helping animals and people alike is what I want to do, and I find studying this field, here and now, to be the way that I want to go about it. What I dream of accomplish by doing this is a better world, even if only by the slightest, thanks to my contribution to it.
You might be asking, "what is this better world you've spoken of?" And the answer is quite simple. The better world isn't something that changes and helps the entire planet, unfortunately. It is just my small contribution. This "better world" is going to be from me being the veterinarian who can help out people in my community and family and steer them into the right direction when it comes to any problems or concerns with their pets. Growing up, my family could never afford a vet, and that hasn't changed now. In fact, it's gotten worse. In recent memory, I can remember being told that it'd cost a fortune to get my recently pasted dogs checked out. That's not what I want for myself nor them in the future. By studying this field myself, I'll be able to be the one helping these poor animals and pet owners along with them at no cost. At least when it comes to identifying the problem because that alone costs a lot of money in addition to the procedures that should follow.
I'm looking to push my community and hopefully influence others to do the same. While you don't need to be a vet or study these fields in order to know things about animals and what could be wrong with them, I feel as if studying this field would help me out a lot in the long run. I plan to have animals of my own one day, and I don't want the same things that have happened in the past with previous pets to happen with my own once I'm out and about in the world. I want to be able to care for the animals that I get and give them the longest and happiest life that I possibly can. That is why I have chosen to study veterinary medicine, and that's what I am hoping to accomplish with my education.

I'm Malcolm Cowart, a hard working, dedicated, persistent 17 year old who wants to become a veterinarian. The reason being is because I want to help animals and people alike so that we all may continue living together and thrive in life alongside one another. As a vet, I believe that ill be able to truly make an impact on both people and animal's lives. I'll help whatever animals that I can, including pets, that way I can do my best to save whoever I can and make as many people as possible happy. In addition to that, I want to be able to take proper care of my own animals, as well as animals of family members. I am well aware of the fortune it cost to take any type of animal to the vet for a checkup alone, and it's a lot. It's been so much that my family doesn't even take their animals to the vet. Of somethings wrong, we try our best to figure things out on our own. Otherwise, like quite a few of the dogs that I've had in my life, we have to let them pass away. I don't want this to be the case anymore. Especially when it comes to my own pets. I want them to have long and healthy lives just as we people tend to. To be completely honest, I have no experience with animals putside of a few instances where I've fed swans, geese, and ducks, and the many pets that I've had over the years, which mainly consist of dogs and cats, but as of now, I have two turtles in addition to my dogs and cat. I also help to take care of the neighborhood cats, which are the many cats that are outside, hungry and needing shelter. I remember one winter where I put some hay inside of my previous dog's house outside for them to comfortably sleep in. It's always nice to feed and provide to them, as well as see the generations of cats come and go. To my knowledge, the neighborhood cats don't just die off. Some of them seem to find people willing to take them in if not just give them food, like I do at my mother's house. I would love to let them in, but I'm currently housing far too many pets that pose a danger to them to add anymore cats inside. So, to make up for it, I treat all of the outside cats as my own. With all of that said and in mind, I really do wish to become a vet so I may help all of the animals that I can. On top of that, I want to help those close to me and in my community as well. With how high prices are to go to the vet, I want to help out the little that I can. At the very least, I want to be able to point out what's the matter and steer people in the right direction when it comes to there being something wrong with their animals so that they don't have to be like me and my family. Not knowing what happened and what we can do. Being a veterinarian will allow me to be better than that, as well as help others do the same.

My Brother's Keeper Scholarship
Hi! My name is Malcolm Cowart. I just recently finished my last day of high school and will be attending Michigan State University, also known as MSU. This has been my number one pick for where I would attend college ever since I decided that I wanted to go, and despite all the difficulties, including finding a way to cover the cost of college, I'm still determined as ever to make my dreams come true. Said dream being that I want to make the people in my family proud of me by getting through college and becoming a veterinarian, and that dream has quickly became my primary goal in life. I plan to get through college, pass all that I need to, work my hardest in all that I do there, and become the vet I once dreamed of becoming.
Like anyone else, one of the hurdles when it comes to chasing dreams and pursuing goals is money. I am not financially the best, so college tuition plus the housing price, as well as any on campus purchases, are going to be critical hits on my bank account. So, the first thing this scholarship would help with is paying for the cost of wanting to pursue my goals in life. This scholarship may only be $500, but every penny counts towards the bugger picture, and I could really use all that I can possibly get in order to shoot for the stars and have the chance to even do so.
Cost aside, this scholarship would serve as motivation for myself. Something to help me push myself to the next level as I move forward in life. I have yet to earn a scholarship, but I am working hard to get the scholarships that I'm confident I'll have before I'm through with my college life. Earning a competitive scholarship is more than just earning money for college. To me, it's gaining a sense of accomplishment that matters most. Growing up, I didn't really believe in myself all too much. There was always something about me I doubted no matter the circumstances, but now, I feel that I am somebody, and in otlrder to keep that feeling, I have to keep doing better as I move forward in life. I want to continue to prive to myself that I am somebody who can do anything imaginable.
With all of that said, I would like to remind you that my name is Malcolm Cowart. I am smart, talented, and so much more, and winning this scholarship would help both to continue to prove the latter statement to myself, push me to the next level, and achieve my dream job of being a veterinarian. With this scholarship, I'd be far more closer than ever when it comes to chasing my dream. This scholarship would mean a lot to both the dream and I, which is why I'm as determined as ever to win it. This scholarship, despite being less money than the bigger ones, would launch me to new heights. Heights that I once only dreamed of reaching. I want to go to college, become a vet, make people proud and happy, and that begins with this scholarship here. To me, this scholarship is so much more than just $500, it's an achievement to push myself towards gaining, and one for the record books at that. My name is Malcolm Cowart, and this is all how this one scholarship would help me achieve my dreams.
WCEJ Thornton Foundation Low-Income Scholarship
I've achieved quite a few things in my 17 years and 8 months of life. I've been a salutatorian in my 8th grade year, I was named the MVP on my former football team, I've gotten multiple medals and a trophy for both my academics and my defensive football playing skills, and more. Despite all of the things that I have tangible awards for, my greatest achievement is something that doesn't have physical proof. It doesn't really have any evidence towards it unless you know who I am personally. My greatest achievement is reaching a point in life where I can confidently say that I'm happy with myself. That I'm proud of where and who I am today and look forward to seeing what I can do in the future.
To a lot of people, I'm sure that this doesn't seem like much of anything, but to me, this means a lot. As someone who struggles to be proud if themselves, having low self-esteem despite all I can do, it means quite a bit to me. This is something that took a long time to obtain. Having social anxiety only made the journey to reach this point longer and more difficult, as I didn't like it when I talked, and I didn't like that I struggled to speak to others, during presentations, or even when it came to new friends. This, along with the certain people that have came into my life without any intentions on staying for long,, the bullying I've faced, the isolation I've been pushed towards, have all resulted in me not liking myself on the slightest. I didn't care much at all about myself a lot of the times growing up. From the moment I hit the third grade, I felt less like i belonged in my school, and that soon began to carry over to my life outside of school.
I talked less, eventually forgetting how to have a normal conversation with people; I interacted with everyone far less, eventually isolating myself as a whole from those I didn't know or didn't talk to every day already; and I convinced myself that pretty much everyone hated me because I was me. During that time, I didn't believe in myself as I do now, I didn't think I could achieve anything. Regardless of the results of a test, an award I was given, certificates, the straight As I earned, I never thought I was good enough to do anything. Such a mindset has stuck with me for a long time, and it wasn't until recently that I truly got out of that mindset.
All of the experiences that have led me to now have taught me that I am more than good enough. That I can do anything that I set my mind to, and that I have plenty to be proud of. I may not be the best, and I may never be such, but I know that's okay, because there's still a lot more that I can do, and despite not being the best at something, I'm still more than capable of getting better at it. This is something I want other people to know, because I'm more than aware that there's other's, such as my really close friend, who struggle to see their own self value. I know how much of a pain that it is, and how harsh one can be on themselves because of it. It's not a nice trip at all, and I want to help people feel as I do now about myself with their own person, if not similar, which leads me to my final point.
In the future, without making any sort of profit for it, I want those around me to be able to feel nice about themselves and believe similar when it comes to them as I do with myself. I'm fact, what I want to achieve is opening thw door for others to feel even better about themselves than I do about myself. There's a lot of people who have felt similar to my position in the past, and I wish to be one who helps those over come that. That's what I want to achieve moving into the future.
Learner Math Lover Scholarship
Why do I love math? Math is like another language, and like any language, the more I learn, the more it unlocks for me to know and understand. This is an aspect of anything that I enjoy, especially in math since it's quick to turn into something more complex. Math starts off easy, then quickly becomes something complicated despite it being the same material, just in a different form than what's used to being seen. With that complicity comes a difficulty to learn it for some, but for me, it's always clicked easier than those around me, and I enjoy being able to catch onto things said to be complex, and carry in finding my own ways of doing the equations before me.
This leads me to another thing that I love so much about math, and that's the many different ways to solve an equation. With how complex math can be and how different people are when it comes understanding it, there's become a number of different ways for one to figure out and answer the equations given. I'm someone who loves a variety of things, and math provides that. It's enjoyable to see the different ways that my peers, my friends, my family, etc all solve an equation since it'll most likely be different from the way that I solve it. Simple things like finding a common point of two functions turns into the room doing different things to all get the same answer, and I love that. I don't like being held in restraints when I'm doing something. I Like to feel as if I'm in control and that, if I wish to, I can do something differently, or watch someone do something entirely different, go get the same correct answer.
Math is the personnification of endless possibilities. Though it can be complex, it ties in a lot of different things in a manner that makes sense. Depending on who's doing the math and how they choose to do it, they'll be able to explain a lot more than the next person, and this is something that intrigues me. I love math because of all it has to offer. From its variety of ways to solve the simplest and most complex of equations, to how complex the language that math is can get. Math is truly the definition of endless possibilities, and I love learning about it.
Our Destiny Our Future Scholarship
I plan to make a positive impact on the world in a number of ways. Firstly, it starts with my career of choice. I want to be a veterinarian so that I can help people and their animals. By going into this field, I can help with people and animals alike by making sure that the animals of the world are kept healthy and in good shape. We people rely on animals as much as they rely on us, so by helping then, I make my own special kind of impact in the world by directly helping with any problems.
Outside of my career of choice, I want to make a positive impact on the world by just being me. I want to put smiles on people's faces and assist them when I can. If I see somebody down in a slump, I want to be the person that can help to bring them up. Even if it's just by a little bit, I want to apply that small amount so that another can build upon it. A little bit of kindness towards others can go a very long way, and I want to be somebody that proves such ti be true.
Whether that be a simple thank you, holding the door for someone, listening to somebody's problem even though I'm not necessarily the closest to them, or even by just being kind to those around me, that's the type of impact I wish to make and see spread around the world. This may be something small, but I can see these small acts of kindness going a long way. It doesn't always take some world changing act to make a positive impact on the world, so I'm not going for such. I want to make this impact through my career, my love of animals, my concern for others, and much more. The positive impact I wish to make on the world is something that's down to Earth, and I'm okay with that. I want whoever else is in power to have an easier time with making that type of impact in the world thanks to me and those I intend to influence with it. My plan to make a positive impact on the world is through the people and animals in my career field, as well as just by being myself in my everyday life. Simply by being the kind-hearted person that I've been told to be, I'll make a positive impact on the world in this lifetime for others to carry with them.
Keep Her Dream Alive Scholarship
I have no singular experience that has led me to pursue an education in veterinary science. In fact, it's been a number of different experiences that have led me down this pathway. For as long as I can remember, I've had pets or had someone close who's had, and I've loved them to death. I'd play with them, ask about them, and want to care for them whenever I was around, and that's a feeling that hasn't wavered in the slightest. Especially with the passing and experiences that I've had to go through with my pets. From them being scared, hurt, killed, injured, or sick, I want to be the one who helps prevent and treat animals like that so they, along with their owners, can live a better life.
Firstly, I'd like to start with an experience with my two most recent dogs. One named Rhea, and the other, Pochita. Rhea came from my uncle's household and has been afraid of everyone and everything when she arrived at my house. We've been taking care of her ever since, but to see a reaction like that makes me want to learn more proper care for animals who don't want to do much because they feel afraid for an unknown reason. As for Pochita, she was like a mother fugure for Rhea, loveable all around, but the problem with her is that, much like the animals I've had for a while before she came along, I couldn't treat a couple of things that was wrong with her. She kept scratching at her ear, thus opening a wound on it, time and time again, and for some reason, her lower back was constantly in need of being scratched, to the point where she was like the other dogs, almost tearing her fur off if I didn't call her out on it. Things like this made me want to learn the proper treatments and be able to help others with similar problems for their pets.
Speaking of, this leads me to another thing being animal sickness. I've had two dogs that I loved with all of my heart pass away because they were sick. Unfortunately, there wasn't anything at all that I could do for them, and I'm sure that there were other dogs that I've had whom died of sickness and I just can't currently recall them, but it hurts to see an animal that you love so much pass because there's nothing that can be done to help. We're a low-income household, so veterinarians we're constantly out of the question, so I want to change that now. I don't want people to suffer in silence. I want my community and family to have someone who can help, or at least try to so that they don't have to think it's the end then and there. Nobody deserves such a thing, especially the poor animals who can't ask or get help on the spot. Animals deserve better, and I want to give them that.
With these experiences, and so much more, I want people to have it better than I did. I would also like for future pets of mine and my family to have it better than me and my pets did growing up. I know firsthand how it feels to have to lose someone close, and I've had plenty of animals that I grew close and attached to before they were taken away too soon. I don't want that for others, so here I am now, pursuing the veterinarian career path to change that.
“Stranger Things” Fanatic Scholarship
As a huge fan of "Stranger Things," I know that three characters are more than enough for me to be able to tale care of a supernatural threat. Especially since the three characters that I'll be choosing are Steve Harrington, Dustin Henderson, and Eddie Munson. I truly believe that with these three alone, I could take in any and all supernatural threats. The three mentioned above have seen and faced all of their previous threats and came out on top, excluding Eddie, who was the latest to join the fight and only assisted in facing Vecna. Two brilliant minds, two brawlers, and three people that know each other very well and can co-exist is exactly what this squad is, and that's exactly what I need to face a supernatural threat.
Starting off with Steve Harrington, this is a guy who's been through every threat from beginning to end. He's more relaxed and can get the group in a good mood, but that aside, he's also a fighter. Steve puts his life on the line for others first and won't ever give up no matter the circumstances. Steve is a true friend, a true companion, and the definition of a ride or die, which suites me perfectly. He's my first pick for all of the reason mentioned above, and I wouldn't dare put together a squad made up of Stranger Thangs characters without putting Steve on it first. In case you haven't noticed, he's also my favorite character, so there's a little bit of bias with his placement, but when looking at all of his achievements, it's still a well deserved placement for him.
Next is Dustin Henderson, the brains of it all. Despite being a child around my age, Dustin is similar to Steve in the sense that he can be fun to be around, as well as relaxed but get serious when it's time to. Dustin is great company with an even greater mind. For his age, he's still really smart and it's show time and time again, both in his adventures by himself, like when he had to deal with his growing Demagorgan pet, and with his friends against the likes of the first ever Demagorgan that the children faced together, the Mind Flair, Venca's forces, etc. He's truly a great asset to the squad in every sense of the word, hence why he's my go-to second pick for my squad.
Finally, my last pick for me Stranger Things squad has to be the one and only Eddie Munson. Despite not having a lot of feats like the latter two, or having superpowers like some of the other characters, Eddie has proven that he's up for anything, and would be more than willing to take on any supernatural threat that dares to threaten his friends and hometown. Eddie, much like Steve, has an aura to him that makes him feel great to be around. He gets along well with Steve and Dustin, meaning that they'll be no conflict with him in the squad. The guy is just loveable and willing to stand up for what he believes in, and that's the type of guy that I want when I have to face some supernatural threat. Someone who'll be a team player and be willing to put it all on the line just as Steve and Dustin have time and time again. Someone who's up for any task and want to, as well as can prove that they can do it.
LGBTQ+ Wellness in Action Scholarship
My mental and physical states are two things that really make me who I am at core. If I'm lacking one or the other, then I feel the impact on the one I'm not lacking in, making them both important to maintain and keep a balance with. To me, mental and physical wellness is being able to keep in good health both when it comes to your mind and body. If you state in one starts to crumble, the other tends to fall with it. So it's really important for me, who wants to keep in good shape and have a good mental state when the life I live allows such to be the case. Thus, I work hard to keep at ease, training with my mind and body when I can, and doing whatever is possible to restore that state when it's no longer present.
To keep a good physical and mental health, I'll often exercise, which is something that strengthens my body and helps me calm myself down, or keep calm at that. I'm a way, it distracts my mind while making me physically stronger. Though, even if it isn't working as a distraction, whatever is on my mind is used to motivate me to push myself further. To assist with calming my mind, I'll also listen to music along with anything else that I'm doing at the time. Music gives off different kinds of energy depending on the song, and for me, that's a lot of songs from my playlist. Listening or singing along with it, depending on what else I'm doing while it's playing, puts my mind at ease and keeps it there for a good amount of time based on what I'm going through. Video games and watching television are just a couple of other things that I do to maintain my physical and mental health, but those aren't always easy to do.
This leads me into the difficulty of doing the things that help me to maintain wellness for my physical and mental health. There are times where my phone isn't charged, I'm not able to put in headphones, I don't have accessibility to the things that keep me calm, I have other things to do, and so much more. Life keeps me busy, and when I'm too busy, I'm too preoccupied to to the things that restore balance to my health. This isn't everyday, but it's most of them, and it makes doing these activities challenging. Due to such, I have to focus on making a balance for my busy schedule and keeping up my health, both physically and mentally. This task isn't easy, but I know that it has to be done so that I can move forward and further better my physical and mental wellness.
Wolverine Ambition Scholarship
After college, I intend on going to veterinary school to finish what has to be done for me to be a member of the veterinary career field. It's something that I've been planning for quite a while, and it's what I've officially decided to set my sights on doing. I want to get all if my schooling out of the way so that I can live my life for once without having to worry about school, and finally be able to spend some time with the person I love while being able to do what I love. The last part may not be ideal, but it's what I wish to do the most, and has been since early last year.
Though I don't have the exact road mapped out for how I'm going to go about life after college, I know that I want to go to veterinary school for the next two years following the end of my college courses. With that, I can achieve my dream career, and finally settle down for a little while after the matter to just relax and take in all that I've accomplished and have in that moment. It's going to be a great time in my life, and I can imagine that I'll be calling it the peak of my life so far within it.
Life after college is something that I want to be able to shape so that it's enjoyable. I want to be the one to mold my future moving forward. My goals, ambition, and everything that I want to do that's listed above, this are the things that I'm working hard to get to now. I want to be a veterinarian, so I'm heading to veterinary school following my college graduation, and after I become a vet, I'm going to get a place of my own with the person I love most. Before I can do all of that, it starts here, in high school, getting whatever scholarships that I can to pave my way to get into college, and be successful there.
Hopke Foundation Scholarship
I'm going to college to be a member of the veterinary career. This is something that means a lot to me, as it's my dream career, as I truly love animals and wish to help them in any way that I possibly can. I'm not the best financially, and I'm sure that's something that many others could say as well. When it comes to me personally, this scholarship would help me achieve something great that I once couldn't even have dreamed of.
In various points throughout my life, i couldn't have imagined growing up, going to Cass Technical High School, one of the best high schools in the DPSD, going to college, being accepted to college, yet, here I am. Now, it's become a matter of getting all that I can so that I can succeed and make it through college, and this scholarship would help a lot with that. Like anyone else would say, I can use that along with anything else that I can get, and I believe everyone that says that. People always say to get whatever you can for college, and collect as much as possible so that you'll be all set, and they're right. Now that I've seen the prices, how much everything cost, I can sew why it's said, and I'm now one of the people who could really use all that they could get to achieve their goals.
As mentioned before, I want to be a veterinarian. It's something that I've dreamed of doing for quite a while, but to do that, I have to make use of every scholarship that I can get, and that's no easy feat for some. I, as others are, tend to lack motivation sometimes, and I've learned that's okay, because as long as you can find some in a timely manner, you'll still be all set for what's to come next, and for me, that's earning my way to and through college.
There's a lot to me, as there's a lot to others wanting to make it through and achieve their dreams, but my dreams are goals that I'm not going to stop going after until it's finished, and this scholarship would assist a lot with that. As a black American, member of the LGBTQIA+, and supporter, this scholarship means a lot to me, and it would help so much more than I could say. It would help this teenager that's soon to become an adult, free on his own in the bug world, properly be able to go after what he truly wants to do in life. Someone that once had no faith in himself who has taken a turn for the better be able to reach what he's once dreamed for. Those are my aspirations, and how this scholarship would help me with them.
Andrea Claire Matason Memorial Scholarship
I'm sure that this has been said a million times from many different people, but I love animals. I get attached to them as if they were my family or friends, in which many cases, they are exactly that. They're there for me and I want to be there for them. Currently, I'm a 17 year old high school senior, but when I'm older, I want to go into the veterinary field and be able to help animals in more ways that the ones I'm limited to now.
I want to be able to help animals without having to pay a fortune or charge someone an arm and a leg to just get their pet checked out. We all are well aware that the prices for vets are so much that we'd prefer to try and care for our animals on our own, and if that isn't possible, we most likely have to accept that amd let them go. I don't want thus to be the case for my animals anymore. I want to be able to give them the proper care that they need and deserve like any other animal does, and I want to see the owners of animals smile in relief as I assist them with their pets and whatever assistance that they need.
I don't know the most about animals now, whether that be domestic or not, but that doesn't stop me from wanting to learn still. The minor details are things that I want to find our along the way as I better myself to be certified and more qualified to help. The world needs more veterinarians and people in vet related careers and there's so many people that would love to add on to that and help make an impact on the world and its animals. I am one of those people. I have been for quite a while, and even if it's just in my community, I want to make a change when it comes to animal treatment, and open the doors for people to be able to get their animals the proper care that they need. The animals on this planet matter just as much as we people do, and I want to keep this balance so that we may continue to provide for each other.
We share this world with plenty if animals that deserve as much care and attention as we people get. I, Malcolm Cowart, a fellow animal lover, wants to be someone that can help those animals in need. The change that I want to make within my community is allowing them to have a vet that'll be there to assist with their animal needs. I know how costly it can be, and I've lost a few animals because of such, but I don't want this to have to be for everyone else, let alone my future animals. I love the all to death, and I'd hate to see anymore go because of how expensive the system can be. The impact I want to make on the world through my veterinary career is by giving back to the many animals that have given so much to us already.
Netflix and Scholarships!
When it comes to Netflix, there's a wide variety of things to watch. The amount of captivating series and movies there is ensures that there's something for everyone that describes to subscribe. With that in mind, I wish to share my favorite Netflix series, Arcane. It's an award winning show based off of the game "League of Legends," and despite not exactly following the game's same exact stories and design, Arcane still delivers on every aspect that a series should. From the series meaningful and enjoyable music to its amazingly done storyline, Arcane serves as an inspiration for how series should be in my opinion. It takes a world, introduces it, expands it along with how it affects the characters, and so much more that takes this series to the next level.
The music in Arcane is second to none and something for all as it explores all genres and fitting its various songs into parts that'll describe both the scene playing out and the characters within it accordingly. The emphasis put onto the music during these scenes helps to give viewers a cinematic masterpiece. An example of this comes from one of the show's fight scenes where Vi and Caitlyn, two of the main characters, are returning to Vi's hometown, known as the Underground to those living the luxurious life above them. The song playing as the two make their descent to the world below is "Playground" by Bea Miller. It's a song that tells how there's always a bad side to everything good, as well as how we shouldn't get caught up on one side of the coin or the other. "How does this fit into the scene?" you may ask. Caitlyn is shown to be the opposite of Vi in terms of where they come from. Caitlyn, unlike Vi, is a topsider, meaning that she lives in the city above the underground. Not once was she aware of their position in terms of how bad it was down there in comparison to the stability in the city above, and that's because topsiders are usually only focused on their own city, thinking of the underground as nothing but a wasteland that exist beneath them.
This brings me to the storytelling of Arcane, which makes this a cinematic work of art. In every scene shown, you can tell that the entire team put all that they had into the series, despite the first season only being eight episodes long. Those eight episodes tell a compelling story that all connects together as if it were a child's puzzle, while also leaving bits and pieces of information out to either explore later down the line and leave you wondering about as you continue the series. The main characters consist of Vi, Jinx, and Caitlyn. These three have many different personality traits that fully show who they are as a character, just as everyone else in the world does. There's very little, if any, generic characterizations within Arcane, and that gives this immersion of the large world that it is. There are various messages to learn from the show, and it's something that reminds people that not all animations are just for children. The series tackles some topics that wouldn't normally be explored in a children's show, making it something for all to enjoy. So the next time that you find yourself sitting down and looking for something enjoyable to watch in one go on Netflix, you should check out the animated series, "Arcane." It only has eight episodes, and they'll all have you wanting to see more.

During a couple different times throughout my life, I've felt as if I've been pushed into silence. I would feel like I didn't matter all that much and that everything was better without me being involved. I believed this for quite a while and it put me down in a slump. There was no self-esteem, no confidence in myself, no belief, I was just there, going through life as it was without asking for anything at all because I felt that's how it should be with me. Words of encouragement didn't even matter despite who they came from. My mom was, and still is, a very supportive parent, and anytime my friends would try to give compliments and such, they felt difficult to ever really believe because there was always someone else, or a group of individuals who shut down any thoughts or hopes that what others said were true. My response to it all was to go silent. My biggest obstacle, my biggest challenge to face became myself. It may have not stopped my tracks entirely, but the mindset I stuck with during all of those times is something that affects me even today. An example of how it affects me sometimes in today's time can be seen when I have difficulties making conversation with unfamiliar faces and how quickly I tend to think of minor inconveniences as something more than they truly are in my mind. But those are the aftermath things that I'm learning to get over more and more every single day.
Since those times, I've learned that everyone has value, including myself. Those people who try and talk down to you are the real ones who should be pushed to the background while you master your craft. That I have a voice, along with so many others like me, and the world should be able to hear it. There's so many other things as well, like why being empathetic is so important, how special I truly can be, that I'm not the only one who's like this and should help others when given the chance, and much more that I've learned from being down that low. The biggest life lesson that I use today is to be the best version of me that I can be, thanks to the love and support of those around me trace back to those periods of time in my life where I was at my worst. It's thanks to those experiences that I'm the ever so increasingly better person that I've become today.
Spider-Man Showdown Scholarship
Spider-Man has come in the form of three different actors when it comes to the comic book heroes live action adaptation. Starting with Tobey Miguire as the first actor for the cinematic universe, best known for his dance scene, going on to Andrew Garfield as the most down-to-Earth Spider-Man in "The Amazing Spider-Man" films. As amazing as I've seen those two to be, neither have quite resonated with me like the third and current Spider-Man, Tom Holland. He is, by far, my favorite edition of Spider-Man, showing a perfect balance of the hero with and without the mask, and how one learns that great power comes with great responsibility. In addition to that, Tom Holland is where my childhood truly lies.
I grew up when the Marvels Cinematic Universe was coming to be. When it came time for Spider-Man to join that universe, fans, like myself, would be greeted by Tom Holland, the third and current actor for Spider-Man. I, as a child, was in love with this version of him, and since then, I've only become more of a fan. To be completely honest, the latter two don't resonate the same way that Tom Holland does with me. The previous two actors feel less familiar because when I saw them on the big screen as a child, it wasn't at a point where I was watching movies and retaining everything from it. Tom Holland came around during a point where I wanted to become more invested in the MCU, so naturally, til this day, he stands as my favorite. To me, due to the fact that I haven't been able to see the other two actors and learn about their Spider-Man portrayals, Tom Holland is the one who's taught me all of the lessons that you'd get from Spider-Man and Peter Parker's life, making him the one whose touched my heart most, the one whose taught be the way of using your power for good, and the one that's resonated with me most in terms of live action Spider-Man portrayals.
Shays Scholarship
I've been pursued to go after a higher level of education by a couple of different things. It started with my family, who all seemed to want me to go after such when I was younger. Then, a couple of incidents that I've both seen and heard of made me realise what I want to do and why, with such an answer requiring a higher field of education. And finally, with all that my friends were planning to do with their lives, I didn't want to be left behind, which opened the door for me to realize how much more I could gain and be able to do, or go for by pursuing this higher education. So many doors open with an higher education, and for me, they're personal.
For starters, my mother never wants me to feel pressured to pursue a higher education, but at a younger age, I didn't understand that. I felt like that's what I needed to do, and my father lightly helped to make that my mindset as I got older. So, I grew up thinking that college was a must, and that if I didn't get into college, then I'd end up working somewhere I wouldn't make enough money to make a living for myself while being seen as a disappointment by those who raised me. College was this huge target that I held in mind despote not even having a clue as to what I wanted to do with myself in life. I was still trying to figure things out. On top of that, I just wanted to enjoy being the child that I was while I still had the chance to. This may not be the biggest impact on why I'm chasing a higher field of education, but I do feel as if this is one of the reasons I have started this journey to begin with.
Secondly, I've with seen and heard some things that's influenced me to chase after the career that I want. I want to be a veterinarian. This career choice was inspired from both the things mentioned above, and my love for animals. So I'm not beating around the bush any further, the things that I've seen are a lack of respect for pets that aren't the typical house pet that people are used to. One of my favorite celebrities owned a pig, and when that pig's time came, they seemed to be in pain. She recognized something off with them a little bit prior, but they couldn't get any veterinarians to come out and check up on them. The reason being was because of what type of animal it was. I don't wish for animals to face unjust treatment like that which puts their life further at risk. It's unfair to them and their possibke owners, so I'm pursuing this higher education to right that wrong and be able to treat animals. Especially the ones with owners that can't afford to pay for treatments, which relates to something more personal that I'd rather not get into as of now.
Last, but not least, there's not wanting to be left behind. It's something that nobody wants, and I'm no exception. I want to stay on pair with the people I know and hold closest. That mindset alone led me to look more into college and see that there's so much more than the minimum that I wanted to go after before. These three things are my main reasoning for why I'm pursing college now, and won't stop until I accomplish my goals.
Learner Calculus Scholarship
Calculus is a transition from the normal math that we're used to into something more advanced. It's not math getting harder, it's math getting more compliance as it becomes more applicable to more complex things within the real world. People often ask "when will I ever need to know this or than about math in the real world?" And calculus shows the answer to such. Through calculus, many things have been found out and proven to be the case every single time that a particular situation involving something related to the given rules come up.
STEM is too advance to carry on with things learned from the first to the eleventh grade due to all that STEM covers. It may contain simple things from there, but much mire needs to be added in order for those STEM fields to do their proper calculations. It's far too many new variables and transitions that need ti be taken account for, and that's where calculus steps in. If you don't know, calculus is "the branch if math that deals with the findings and properties of derivatives and integrals of a function." Derivatives are known as something based on another source, but in math terms, this is "the sensitivity of change in a function's output with respect to its input." Intergrals are functions of which are the derivative of a function. These two things are the transitions needed for more complex calculations.
My math teacher always tells me that "math isn't getting harder, it's just getting more complex as it's turning into more things that we can apply to the real world." This is the case with calculus. It's used by STEM to take calculations from simpler problems and turb them into something more applicable to what they're working on. We're at a point in time where we have math problems that look like a foreign language, and in order to figure out how to speak that language, we had to find ways to turn the simple things that we know into something different. Something more complex than what was known to man during that time, so calculus was created to to better this. It makes things easier and allows STEM to do all that they can in a simpler, yet complex manner. This manner has came to be thanks to calculus, and without it, we'd be stuck with simple math that wouldn't allow for as many, if any at all, smooth transitions to other complex equations used in STEM.
Julia Elizabeth Legacy Scholarship
Why is a diverse representation important to have in STEM careers? A diverse representation is important everywhere, STEM careers included. The reasoning for this is because their are so many different types of people in the world with a vast amount of knowledge coming from many different places. This knowledge is something that should be used and put into something major instead of being shut down because they don't look like someone else. STEM careers are the type of careers that need all hands on deck, so it shouldn't matter how anyone is identified. What's most important is getting more people into the science, technology, engineering, and math fields. The world needs more geniuses to work on the things that the various STEM careers are working on. This is so all of the projects that STEM careers are meant to be working towards can be achieved in a quicker, and more efficient manner. Without a diverse representation, less people will want to try to get into these careers because they don't see anyone who looks like them doing anything in the STEM careers.
As an African American, I can say, from experience, that I'm more drawn into things that show people who are similar to me. And as the friend of many other people who are a part of the minority groups here in the U.S., I can confirm that it's more appealing and welcoming when something has diversity when it comes to its representation. Without that diverse representation, less people are going to want to join because of thoughts like "It's not meant for people like us," or "I don't want to be the only one like this who works there." This isn't a mindset that should be spread, especially through STEM careers who could use all of the brilliant minds possible for them to get their hands on.
Diverse representation gives people a sense of security, along with a welcoming feeling that they most likely don't get all of the time. By giving that type of diversity, STEM careers would be encouraging people of many different types of background who can offer a lot to them into their careers, making things a lot better for both them and STEM as a whole. There's too many people from different places for it not to be a thing, and not giving any diverse representation would do more harm than value, especially in this day and age. So, STEM careers need to have a diverse representation in order to draw more people into STEM careers so that things can be more efficient than ever with the different brilliant minds from all over.

My favorite animal is a wolf. It's an animal known to either be found in packs or by themselves, which I can relate to. I'm either with my pack, trying to make the most of everything with them, or I'm on my own, leading myself down my own pathway to success. Wolves are an animal that I feel most connected to, which has lead to my love for dogs, their more tamed members of their animal family. I've been a pet owner since I was a child, and all throughout my life, I've owned a number of cats, dogs, and even two turtles now that I care for. With every pet came a newfound love and care for the animal in my possession. I refused to treat them like anything less than a person, because that's what animals are to me. They're living beings with their own feelings and emotions, and I have, and always will treat them like such. With this came a sort of empathy for them as well. If an animal is feeling some type of way, I try to understand it and communicate with them. I know that they're not people like you and I, but I do believe that they should be treated similarly to such, otherwise we are inhumane for treating them like otherwise.
This doesn't mean that I treat then exactly like humans. Rather it refers to the mental scale. I don't scream and shout, expecting my pets to do what I want them to. I don't buy pets with the mindset of using them for something. They're my personal companions. They're my comfort, and I do my best to be theirs as well. It's this mindset of mine that's lead to want to be a veterinarian. I want to care for animals even more than I have before. I want to give them the treatment that they deserve regardless of any circumstances that there are. It's unfair enough that people are struggling to get Healthcare in my area because of expenses, but the animals are a step that I consider to be even further than the wrong done for people. These animals can't pay for themselves either and are typically left for dead because they're seen as "just animals." That's not my mindset though. That never has been, and it never will be, because I want these animals to have better and be able to live their lives to the fullest like we do. That is what led me to wanting to become a veterinarian, and that's why I'm currently chasing the goal down.
Disney Channel Rewind Scholarship
WinnerMy two favorite Disney shows are The Owl House and Gravity Falls. These are two popular Disney shows that are already suspected to be connected somehow, and my crossover would double down on that. The title of the episode would be "An Old Friend" and the story would follow the main character's mentor, Eda, telling a story about one of her "old friends." This friend would be Uncle Stan, from Gravity Falls, and he'd too would be telling the ones he raised about a witch who couldn't be captured and had spent years trying to find. This witch would of course be Eda. Eda, if you don't know, likes to play around a lot, and this was especially true when it came to her childhood self, hence why she'd consider Uncle Stan to be a friend instead of someone who tried to capture her. Later in the episode, the two worlds would cross as Bill Cypher makes one final grand return and makes the two worlds begin to clash together since he is all knowing and all powerful, abling him to bend reality as he so pleases. The two groups of the main characters would then have to get together to stop Bill Cypher, or delay him as best they can as King, the little guy (didn't want to spoil anything about him) for The Owl House, would get be sent to search for a way to contact The Collector, another world bending entity who's also a child. His only limits are that he's restrained by magical power like all others in the Boiling Isles. With the two groups together, they'd all start planning while Bill himself is plotting as well. Bill plans to overtake every world imaginable, starting with the Boiling Isles, but he underestimated their magical power. Not wanting to be seen as a coward when he's supposed to be some world conquering diety, he continues his conquest, one that he might just win unless something big is done against him. The only thing that would stand a chance is illusion magic so powerful that it tricks the all-seeying triangle with a top hat into thinking that he's trapped himself, but more on that later. Stan and Eda would be constantly motioned towards one another by Mable from Gravity Falls and Luz from the Owl House. The two children find that they share a lot in common, with the main difference being that Luz was more out there than Mable was with her more standard girly expressions. The rest of the groups would be planning more, recommending different things, and occasionally teaching Dipper various aspects of their world and magic, eventually going on to show him glyph magic. Of course, this wouldn't be a Gravity Falls crossover without Soos, the big, lovable guy who can always be found with his signature cap, question mark shirt, and cargo shorts. He'd be in the human world still, watching over the Mystery Shack as a familiar face in the form of Lilith with Hooty (the main reason why the Owl House is called such). From there, Soos would have various interactions wirh other characters, giving more comedic relief. To wrap this all up, it'd be revealed that Eda and Uncle Stan were once together, and how that relationship went could be revealed further down the line. Everyone manages to lure Bill into their trap, and while he didn't fall for it as first, he would a second time, then erase himself before he went mad, and this process was far shortened by The Collector, and that concludes my crossover episode.
Anime Enthusiast Scholarship
An anime that I could watch over and over again is Cyberpunk Edgerunners. Cyberpunk Edgerunners, famously known as just “Edgerunners” is a ten episode long series that can be watched on Netflix. It's based off of the game `Cyberpunk 2077”, and served as a side story for fans of the game to enjoy as they waited in anticipation for more Cyberpunk 2077 updates. This side story would feature new characters, the main one being David Martinez, and show their adventures in Night City before the events of the game. This anime was something fresh, exciting, and all around an amazing show to go with the game itself.
Though the series being great isn't what makes this anime something that I could watch repeatedly. This is proven through various mainstream anime I’ve watched. So, “what is then?” you may ask. Edgerunners ability to give a short, sweet, easy to follow, compelling story that I feel I can relate to the real world is. In this anime, you can see the “what if” scenarios and apply the lessons learned from the characters to yourself. Edgerunners follows the nature of the video game that it serves as a prequel to. That nature being that not everything is going to have a happy ending. Bad things happen to good and bad people, and a lot of the time, we may wish for a happy ending for someone who seems like they really deserve it, but things happen. Edgerunners gives a moral and keeps it real all the way through the show. There’s nothing wrong with having a happy ending, but when messages are so well delivered in a manner that us, the viewers know what needs to be done for the characters then can step back from this eye-tearing experience and reflect on ourselves, the people around us, and the world as a whole, it makes you see a lot of things differently from before. It makes you think about a lot of things like how we should enjoy the ride that is life while it lasts, that everyone has their struggles and that you shouldn’t stay silent about anything. That you can help others, give them hope, and push them towards a better future. That you can always hold onto hope and it’ll take you further than you could imagine before.
Characters’ fates in Edgerunners weren’t all good, but they taught a lot of things, both through their highs and lows. On top of that, the lessons being given and the series being wrapped up perfectly within ten episodes makes it rewatch worthy to me. I’d rewatch it time and time again for the story, to remember the characters and how found of them I am, to revisit the game and see it in a different manner than I do when just playing it, find things that I didn’t see upon first watching it, because there are a lot of things to be found, and so many more reasons that I could add. The action, story, drama, beautiful scenery, emotional attachment, and deep life lessons can be found in this one short anime, making it something quick and easy for me to jump into and watch like I for my first watch Everytime that I see Cyberpunk Edgerunners, it gets me hooked and makes me want to watch it over to relieve all of the feelings that I felt before, and this is why it’s the main anime that I could rewatch time and time again. It’s a nice shakeup from the normal formulas used, and I really enjoy that.

When it comes to Millennials and Gen Z, I think that the two are the most interesting pair of generations that has come to the world. Through Millennials and Gen Z, it feels as if more awareness to everything is being spread throughout the world. Things such as representation, problems throughout the works, updates to technology, acceptance to much more than before, and so much more has come about through these two generations. It's nice seeing the world come together with these two generations, and feels almost surreal that I get to be a part of it. The interactions between two generations are another thing that works far better than interactions between Gen Z and other generations in my opinion.
To elaborate on the interactions between generations, many people could agree that Gen Z wouldn't get along with generations past Millennials, as Gen Z doesn't perfectly click with then either. What differs between Gen Z with Millennials and Gen Z with everyone else is that they're a more modernized generation of people with things that previous generations could only ever dream of. To touch on this from experience, at my most recent doctor's appointment, upon telling my doctor a situation where me and my partner perfectly communicated an issue, she pointed out that our generation is certainly developing better and can do things much simpler than the ones in the past. We're an accepting generation, more so than the ones prior. This is not to say that there aren't accepting people from past generations, but Gen Z and Millennials have proven to be the most accepting bunch of people.
It's seen through media, films, TV shows, protest, flags, and so much more. Gen Z and Millennials truly do go above and beyond to have representation which can be seen when watching things that have us as the targeted audience. Shows and movies like Arcane, The Owl House, She-Ra, Squid Game, and Lightyear are just a few examples of the many things that have come up with us as the targeted demographic, giving that representation these generations seek so much for all of the minorities.
In conclusion, Gen Z and Millennials are truly two of the most accepting generations there has been to this day. It's shown through the media and how films are shaped based on us, the targeted audience. Gen Z and Millennials are also two of the most corresponding generations, as the two can work together quite well despite childish "they v.s. them" things that were previously on the rise. In my opinion, the world is becoming a better place, day by day, with these generations as they grow up and discover new things. Gen Z and Millennials show hope for a better, more open and accepting future, and I couldn't be any happier to be amongst these generations.
