Bio

I’m a high school senior in NC, class of 2023 but graduating early in 2022. My goal is to work and go to college in hopes of a bachelors degree and expanding my knowledge. Even though I wish to go to college I don’t want to borrow many loans and go into debt so I’m signing up for scholarships. I love science, art, and music and would love to express that in college.

    Barbie Dream House Scholarship
My dream house would be a bricked, 3 story, 10,000 square foot house on the coast of a Jamaican beach with 8 bedrooms. Each bedroom will be color coordinated with each color of the rainbow with the addition of pink and earth tones. The amount of bathrooms I’d prefer are 5 full bathrooms, 2 half bathroom with 2 on the first level, 3 on the second level, and 2 on the third level. I’d a dancing studio with mirror walls, surround sound speakers in each corner of the walls. I’d also like a she-shed with a conversation pit , and in that room will be a popcorn machine, slushee machine, theater screen . I want the left quarter of my house to be a bowling alley with a 24/7 bar/concession stand with a pool table and 2 claw machines in both corners of the room (one beside the entrance and another by the back walls of the building). I want the interior of the bowling alley to be a glow in dark safari theme with holographic animals walking/swinging around the room . I’d like to have 6 by 6 miles of land in my backyard so I have enough room to have an in-ground pool that has a slide, waterfall, and goes down to 12 feet , a a basketball court , a greenhouse because I love plants, and a dirt trail to ride my motor bikes.

I am passionate about education because I've been raised on the principle that "Knowledge is power". Growing up I've always stayed on A and B Honor roll and it wasn't only because those are good scores to have but also because I care about education and pay attention to the subject, and expanding your knowledge will always benefit you. Besides those reasons, I'm also passionate about my education because it is essential in this world that we live in. Education teaches and provides us with reading, writing, history, math, science, laws, problem-solving skills, and even social skills. Without education you cannot go far in this world, most good-paying jobs require a high school diploma, so with that fact alone, you're going to need education for money and more. A very inspirational human rights activist named Malcolm X once said "Education is our passport to the future, for tomorrow belongs to the people who prepare for it today" that statement stood with me, especially after seeing the impact that educators and activists have had. My teachers have impacted my beliefs, relationships, and career aspirations by being the proper guidance and positive influence I needed at a young age. Many of my teachers helped me realize that education can get you far in life and can even develop great relationships between people. Teachers help young minds stay focused in school and find the right career path so they have motivated me to do so myself. I plan on leaving a lasting impact on my students by showing them different learning methods that fit them better, providing extra help for students who might need it, being supportive and dependable, providing a safe work/mental space and by not giving up on them. I realize that some teachers these days only do the bare minimum when it comes to giving assignments and only teach in a certain way but I feel like there should be more learning options. For example, a teacher might read about a subject out loud and expect students to understand with just that introduction but there are many different learning styles and everyone won't be an auditory learner. There are visual and kinesthetic learners like me so I know that isn't the only effective way to teach. I want to teach in fun and creative ways so that my students will remember what I taught them and will enjoy school more.

I grew up being raised by my older sister since my mother was always working. After a few years, me and my younger sister moved to North Carolina and my older sister decided to stay in Indiana. While living in North Carolina my mother had another baby girl. She is now my 5 year old sister Mia. I’ve been taking care of Mia since she was 2 years old; Watching, feeding, teaching, cleaning and clothing, even taking her places and playing with her. I want to get into healthcare because I’m knowledgeable of both sides of being cared of and not being cared of. Another reason I want to get into healthcare is because my mother used to be an medical assistant and would tell me her stories all the time, so now that I’m older she suggested going into that field
    Future Is Female Inc. Scholarship
Feminism is equal rights, not only to women for everyone. It respect, equality, and more peace. An inspirational person to me is Angelina Jolie, when I was younger I found out about her from Tomb Raider, she seemed so beautiful and strong so I looked into her and found out that she had her breast removed to lower her chances of cancer. Even with them removed, that didn’t stop her from Perusing what she wanted and I really admired that. She impacted my view of feminism just by being herself and remaining strong. I know that some people didn’t expect her to do many things because she is a woman and the expected even less after the surgery but no matter what she always proved to be worthy. I am contributing to the feminist movement in my school by educating myself and others on social issues and how women around the world gets treated unfairly .
    Mental Health Importance Scholarship
I believe that your mental health is important because you need to function properly to accomplish what you want in life and school, with a bad mental health you might not be able to do that. Not only is your mental health important but consistently taking care of it is also important to prevent it from being worsened or having any breakdowns. I maintain my mental wellness by doing and having things that I've noticed that benefit me and has me happy. Keeping a morning/night routine, eating healthy foods and always eating in the morning, working hard but never overworking, and keeping a positive attitude to see things out even when the worse is to come. Staying optimistic and consistent helps greatly to maintain my mental wellness.
