Writing music has been an exciting path for me. I never thought that one day I would write a piece until I start the undergraduate program. In Theory Music class, I learn some techniques, and one of them was using an etude as a model to develop my music. That was the way I came up with my music piece Flautear.
I have a passion for the flute etude named EJ7 by the composer Gaubert. I decided to use his sixteenth motives as a way to start writing, but on the way, I used some modal scales to change the musical atmosphere completely. It is a flute quartet in a ternary form, and I enjoyed the final result.
