Hi! My name is Maha and I am currently pursuing a degree in Economics and Computer Science at Rice University. I strive to engage in roles that have home my skills and enrich my understanding of the intersection between finance and technology. As a Junior Analyst at the Rice Undergraduate Investment Fund (RUIF), I have helped manage a portion of the university's endowment, making strategic investments in businesses and commodities within the financial sector. Prior to my role at RUIF, I have also participated in the Data Exploration and Experiential Projects (DEEP) Program, where I honed my data science skills by working with real-life datasets and building marketable projects. This experience equipped me with a deep understanding of the data science pipeline process, from data wrangling to modeling. // Moreover, during an internship at HP Tech Ventures, I further expanded my skills by conducting research on startup metrics employing tools such as Excel and SQL to derive meaningful insights. I also actively contribute to campus life through my involvement in extracurriculars. As an active member of the Rice Finance Club and Rice CS Club, I strive to play a pivotal role in fostering a culture of learning and mentorship within the community. I have also previously been recognized as a finalist for scholarships such as the Golden Door Scholarship, Questbridge, and a semi-finalist for the Jack Kent Cooke Scholarship.
