I Can Do Anything Scholarship
I will get my college degree and become a part of top management in my field.
Bold Study Strategies Scholarship
The study strategies I use to achieve academic success are to first find out what is the learning target. When I figure out what I need to know; it is easy for me to stay on task and really collect the relevant information. Secondly, I think about what way am I gonna make my notes. Will I make them digitally or on paper?
Personally, I am someone who likes to use paper when learning because I am able to add color and highlight things. It allows me to be more interactive and not get bored easily over the course of note-taking or just simply listening. On the days that I decide to use digital notes, I make sure that I am using an app that is easily accessible at any time. I really love using apps such as Quizlet and Kahoot at home for studying. When I'm on Quizlet I love to use it when I am learning vocabulary or anything that has level (1) questioning. Furthermore, when I use Kahoot in class or simply at home it turns it into a fun game. I am able to remember better when I'm laughing or able to connect my answer with a picture that you are able to add during Kahoot.
Bold Empathy Scholarship
Throughout my life, I have gradually grown the skill to treat people with empathy. I didn't really understand what empathy was until I was someone who was going through situations and needed empathy from my friends, family, and others in my day-to-day life. I just needed to feel like I wasn't the only one struggling through things or having a hard time at that current moment.
Through my own experience in life, I have learned many things about treating others with empathy. I am mostly the go-to person when a lot of my friends need someone to talk to. When I am in the moment of showing anyone empathy I make sure to show eye contact and have a relaxed body when speaking to someone because it helps a lot of showing that you listening and they aren't an Alien to any situation that they are going through. In addition, I like to put myself in that person's shoes to give myself a personal glance at how they could be feeling. I would ask myself questions such as, " Would I be able to concentrate too?" "Would I react the same way ?" etc. Furthermore, I try to always put my biased views or disagreements out of mind and still try to understand the other party. When I am able to not be disagreeable or conventional then I am able to be an open book and make the other person feel as if they aren't alone.
