Bio

Quote: There are three kinds of people in life: Some people make things happen, Some people watch things happen, and some people say, "Wait, what happened??" I believe in seizing opportunities whenever they are presented to me. My class ranking as well as my GPA are both indicators of that. I have a weighted GPA of 5.14 and a class rank of 3 in my high school. I would deeply appreciate any scholarship being awarded to me, and I will put it to good use by using it for college textbooks, tuition, etc. I come from a low income family, but I do have the grit as well as the motivation to succeed in life. I believe that college is the first step in doing so. I love lanscaping and am the head lanscape and beutification artist in my local comminty. I love cooking home meals with fresh and organinc ingredients. I love knitting, crocheting, and sewing. My projects have been donated for homless shelters and such. I love learning new things. I believe my love of knowlege is what helped me get accepted into an accepleration program that provides students the ability to complete their freshmen and sophomore years of high school in a single year. And yes, that means that I am 16 and graduating high school this year! :)

Thankfully, I was never prone to having poor eating habits. I was always fed healthy and wholesome foods by my parents. Eating out was a special occasion for us, and we usually ate home cooked foods. It was food made from scratch as well. We never ate anything out of the box. I grew up cooking in the kitchen, and I know how to prepare many of our foods, pulling from anything we might have in the kitchen. I plan to maintain these good eating habits by passing on these amazing skills to my kids, and cooking for them. What they see at home, they will implement it later in their lives. The fact that I will be cooking for the family on a daily basis is what will prompt them to have healthy food choices, which would directly correlate to having better health later in life.
