Hello:)
I look to use my internet presence to my advantage and take this opportunity to network and make relatable connections with others.
Once I graduated from High School in Niagara Falls Ontario, Canada. I moved to the Big Apple (and now Brooklyn) to complete my Bachelors Degree at The Fashion Institute of Technology. My Fashion Business Management Degree specialisizes in Buying and Planning, however, I am eager to leave a positive impact on the fashion industry rather than becoming a buyer or merchandising intern that promotes more financial profit and consumption. I will also obtain a minor in Ethic and Sustainability and plan to pursue a Masters in Geoengineering. This would emphasize learning more about supply chains, types of emissions, and practices for impact reduction, etc.Another passion of mine is in Health and Wellness, and would like to do a yoga training program in the near future.
Goals for 2022 include graduating and finding a paying job/internship that lasts until the end of summer. By December next year I would like to leave to go explore and travel throughout the Mediterranean with my current roommate. To add, my side hustle is contemporary painting, and I would like to have completed a mini collection during my Brooklyn period.
Lastly, I focus my time on developing a sustainable and innovative perspective of the fashion industry. While realizing the environmental impact on the constantly changing styles and trends, I work towards developing innovative textiles, as well as, eco-friendly processes to reduce the impacts of the fashion industry.

Sometimes I have days where my mind feels so empty of impactful and meaningful messages. As an artist, not being able to express myself makes me seek inspiration. I often ask the universe to send me love in mysterious ways, and that is when I came across “The Kiss” , a painting by Gustav Klimt. The piece of art was inspiring because it provoked the feelings of love, as well as the mystery of existence. This was a very fulfilling moment to find this artist’s work because I found it relatable. I have been struggling to start my recent creative projects because I’m attempting to portray, express and stimulate a new found love I have experienced for the first time. The Kiss is a piece I feel that I can finally relate to, which has helped guide me while I work on my own works of art. I hope to return the favor, and inspire others through my expressive art someday.
Bold Caring for Seniors Scholarship
Ever since I was a little girl, I would spend my summer vacations staying with my grandmother. I was always so happy to visit her because she would spoil me like there was no tomorrow. However, the older we both got, the harder it was to go on fun adventures. Seeing my grandma start to slow down was simply a natural occurrence, and it appeared that our roles have switched. I was always so thankful for the guidance and help she provided consistently. When she started showing signs of dementia, I knew it was my time to return the favor.
One of the hardest jobs I ever did was working as an Assistant Care Aide for Dementia patients at Park Creek Senior Living Community. I had no medical background other than visiting my father in Hospice Care during my high school studies. Fast forward to the summer before my sophomore year of college, this job was calling my name. Not only could I use what I learned on the job to help my grandmother, but an opportunity to put my patience and caring attitude to good use. I understood what these families had to go through, and these patients just needed someone to be there and help. From preparing their meals to giving patients showers. I was ready to accept whatever struggle or problem is thrown at me.
One of my favorite memories would be hearing how elderly people fell in love back in the day. They may not have remembered who I was, but they could never forget the long-term memory and feeling of their true love. It would warm my heart and sometimes make me jealous that I don't receive love letters. This job opportunity taught me a lot, and I am forever grateful.

From writing French plays in Toronto, Canada to studying Fashion in New York City. I will never stop searching for inspiration in cities across the world. My name is Madeliene Philippe, and I am a contemporary creative who seeks much help pursuing my passion and exploring many forms of art.
I have attached a YouTube video that displays my debut piece of art that was created over the summer of 2020. To add, the video also presents other artistic passions of mine that have definitely played a role in creating my unique vision.
Presently, I am living in Brooklyn, NY and plan to create ten paintings for my New York Period Collection. I am forever grateful for the amount of abundance in my life, and always look for new locations where I could find inspiration. My passion for art is used to assist me through my thoughts and emotions. Allowing my visions to come to life not only helps me learn about myself, but learn so much more about the environment around me.

Learner Education Women in Mathematics Scholarship
I love how math is universal. through the use of equations and calculations, individuals are able to come to the same conclusions with even speaking a word. I first started to love math whenI would count all the change in my parents car cup holders. From there, in elementary school, I became the treasure where I got to count even higher sums of cash.
Math and money are two things I use everyday. Some even say that money makes the world go round. Th more I learn about my finances, budgeting, investing, and saving the more in tuned I become with my money. Its through my mathematic studies that I can remain financially stable enough to pursue my goals and passions
Math is something I use every single day. It is interesting how math correlates well with other ways of obtaining knowledge such as science, art, or through language. Having mathematical knowledge has helped me in every step of the way towards pursuing my dreams and passions.

We are living in a generation of massive amounts of waste. There has been a continuous increase in Carbon Dioxide, Nitrous Oxide, and Methane which are three components that are changing climate at a rate faster than most changes seen in the geologic record. My current projects focuses on photographing and manipulating trash in our streets in order to spread awareness on planetary boundaries. Ever since I have had the opportunity to explore the Waste Management landfill, as well as, follow the waste management process, I have made it a lifelong goal to limit my waste and educate others.
The next step in the creative process would be exploring other cultures. Visiting a new atmospheres has always been one of my passions and the fresh perspectives are applicable to my creative innovative style. I look forward to the day where I can step foot in The Louvre and admire timeless pieces such as the Winged Victory of Samothrace or the Portrait of Women found in the Department of Egyptian Antiquities. I strive to apply the Parisian art of living, and to maintain effortless glamour and a timeless allure long after my time abroad is over. From an educational standpoint, understanding another culture will be applied to business strategies to maintain organizational viability and effectiveness. I am curiously open, flexible, and patient with the prospects of living in a new city.
