Bio

I have always loved science and the mystery of the unknown. Science fiction novels consumed my every waking moment as a teen, and as an adult this has transitioned to works of non-fiction that provide me with a greater understanding of the world around me. In clinical research I have found a field that allows me to meld this love of science with my desire to create an impact. Long term, I plan to continue on in this field and eventually work for a pharmaceutical company to manage oncology clinical trials at the global scale. To this end, I am pursuing my Master's in Business Administration as well as a Master's in Public Health with a focus in cancer epidemiology. My goal is to create real impact in the lives of patients and improve the clinical trial process to make new, life changing drugs, available to those who need it in a more timely fashion, without increasing risk. I have already begun working towards this goal in the last few years, and by continuing to work while I obtain my Master's degrees I will position myself to be competitive within this industry and create the largest impact.
