I was studying at the Culinary Institute of America but due to financial hardships I had to stop attending.. Food has been a part of my life as far as I can think back. I remember watching my mom and grandma in the kitchen and always wanting to help them. One of my youngest memories of being in the kitchen was using my easy bake oven. I was always eager to see the results of what I had baked. Since I was a little girl I dreamed of going to the CIA. I remember cooking in my play kitchen along with Duff Goldman while watching their shows. I feel connections made at CIA will lead to future success in my career path as well as connections in the industry. Growing up with those memories I knew I wanted to pursue a career in the culinary arts. While in high school I attended a technical education center Orange-Ulster Boces Ctech (Goshen NY) and studied culinary arts or known as culinary food trades during my junior and senior years. I graduated high school and my technical school in 2020 with Technical Mastery and Career and Technical Endorsement on my NY State Regents Diploma. I am most passionate about volunteering and helping my community when I can. A lot of my volunteerism experiences revolve around children and animals. I am also very passionate about the culinary arts specifically baking and pastry arts. I am a great candidate for scholarships because I am a hard worker and very attentive to my school work and happen to be the first generation in my family attending college. Help my career goals become a reality.

Bold Moments No-Essay Scholarship
My funniest story was when I entered a cupcake competition. I had been selected to compete in the final round, the next morning, the day after my prom While I knew the cupcake was good. I didn't expect to be chosen, I was unprepared for finals in less than a day with 24 cupcakes and display I quickly prepared some components. I donned my gown and went to prom. After dancing a little I came home, replaced my heels with kitchen crocs, and got right to work. I got some sleep, woke up early, and finished I was off.
A Sani Life Scholarship
During the Covid-19 pandemic, I reached a point where I became very depressed because I spent all my time in my house. Covid-19 also affected me negatively because I lost many things I had been looking forward to in my senior year like prom and graduation I could not attend the college of my dreams that year due to covid and the hardships it put on my family. I used baking as an outlet as a way to try to make myself happy in the meantime during my time in lockdown I focused on working on my baking skills and falling in love with the art of pastry even more. I am thankful for the opportunity to be able to work on my skills before going to culinary arts school. I can turn my childhood dreams into a successful career in the pastry arts. If I did not know if this is what I wanted to do before I definitely knew now. One of the biggest factors that motivate me is I have not been given the same opportunities as others I need to try to work harder to get what I want in life. I have worked very hard the past four years to get into a good college. Another motivating factor is I want to make my family proud of me. I am very proud to say that I am the first in my family to be attending college. As the first generation in my family going to college I will be paying fully for my education. After these four years, I do not want all of my hard work to go to waste. another motivating factor is being able to make connections at the CIA. What inspires me most about attending the CIA is being able to attend a school that many famous alumni have gone to and being able to put in the same work and effort to maybe one day become another famous and successful alumni and the connections I can make as a CIA student. I feel the connections I will make at the CIA will lead to future success in my career path as well as connections in the industry. After I graduate from the CIA, I see myself working to own my own bakery with my family, specializing in custom cakes, cake decorating, small pastries, and chocolate work. I would like to travel to Paris and explore local bakeries there. I want to be able to master the craft of french pastries and I feel going to France to help that goal.to get a degree in business to help myself so I can own my own business. I would like to shadow a pastry chef and learn how to run a business. I would like to bring my creativity and passion to the culinary arts industry and would love to be able to help others with their goals and dreams in the culinary field. I would also love to help others find their passion. In 2020 I have learned to not take opportunities for granted and be thankful for every chance you are given In closing, I want to thank you for your consideration. I can’t wait to study at the CIA and begin my own culinary journey.

I have not been given the same opportunities as others I need to try to work harder to get what I want in life. I have worked very hard the past four years to get into a good college. Another motivating factor is I want to make my family proud of me. I am very proud to say I am the first in my family to be attending College. As the first generation in my family going to college I will be paying fully for my college education. A college education is expensive no matter where you attend. Attending a private institution is even more expensive and not all colleges offer what certain students want to learn or offer their career path. I am very thankful to be given this opportunity but the cost is very large. The money would help to pay my tuition and books required for college. With the help of the scholarship money I can reach my goals and dreams and can turn my college education into a successful career in pastry arts. After I graduate from the CIA, I see myself working to own my own bakery with my family, specializing in custom cakes. A college education is expensive no matter where you attend and the scholarship money would help pay for tuition and books at the CIA I feel that the solid education At the Culinary Institute of America and Orange-Ulster Boces Carrer and technical Education Center I feel that I can turn my childhood dreams into a successful career in the pastry arts. After I graduate I see myself running my own business specializing in custom cakes.

This is my rescue cat Soxie who has impacted my life in a very big way. Soxie has helped me to understand the importance of giving back, my cat happens to be a feral cat who was abandoned by her family Soxie which has lead me to become a person who is more involved in working with animal organizations and societies. She also inspired me to start working in a group called for the animals where I became president. She's a loving cat and loves to help in the kitchen when I'm following passion for the baking and pastry arts.
