Hi, I am Mabel Frimpong, a first-generation self motivated international student with a Biochemistry and Molecular Biology major at Bryn Mawr College, PA.
I am passionate about health policy and giving back to my community through volunteering and advocacy. I founded Ako Health Foundation which is a nonprofit health advocacy organization. With a team of 20 passionate volunteers, I embarked on an 8-week health outreach program Summer of 2024 which had a 6-week research on stroke, diabetes, and heart attack with a 3-day onsite health talk with the traders of Ayeduase market, Ghana to educate them on non-communicable diseases’ prevention and management. I have bigger goals of giving back to my community Winter 2024 and beyond.
I believe that making a difference in my community is my purpose in life.

I am Mabel Frimpong, a first-generation student with a Biochemistry and Molecular Biology major on a premed track at Bryn Mawr College, PA.
I am passionate about giving back to my community through volunteering and advocacy. I founded Ako Health Foundation which is a nonprofit health advocacy organization. With no funding, I embarked on an 8-week health outreach program Summer of 2024 which had a 6-week research on stroke, diabetes, and heart attack with a 3-day onsite health talk with the traders of Ayeduase market, Ghana. I have bigger goals of giving back to my community.
It is important for me to pursue a degree because that is when I get to discover a lot and share more with my community.
