My first group would be 'things you would find in a classroom', consisting of the words: ruler, pencil, books, and paper. I'll be going back to school soon, so back-to-school shopping has been on my mind recently. I also predict the person trying to solve this puzzle will assume the word 'ruler' to mean someone who rules over a group of people. This could make them try to fit the word 'ruler' into other similar words from other categories, such as king, queen, and god.
My second group would be 'titles of world leaders' and have the words: king, president, Caesar, and emir. I'm very interested in politics, and I love learning about the political systems of countries from all around the world, new and old. This section might be one of the hardest sections since I used words in other categories that also seem like they could fit into this group, like queen and ruler. I also don't think emir is a very popular word, and I love learning new words through the New York Times' games.
The third group would be pieces in a chess board: pawn, rook, knight, and queen. I like chess and it seemed like the perfect opportunity to throw in an easier group of words, although some takers of the quiz might try to fit the word 'king' from the previous group.
The final group would be 'the last word in the title of books popular in high school English curriculum' and use the words mockingbird, farm, god, and flies These are from the titles To Kill a Mockingbird, Animal Farm, Their Eyes Were Watching God, and Lord of the Flies, which are all books I have read through my high school English classes. You could say my overarching theme in this puzzle is things I've learned in high school, like how to play chess, and that I love learning about politics.

Math has been called a monotonous and impersonal by those who don’t understand it, but I would argue that math is filled with feeling and emotion; I would go as far as to say that it is nothing short of the soul of humanity. Math exists because of the purely human desire to learn more about the things that surround us, to understand why things are the way they are. Math exists because people throughout human history spent years and years working on theories and concepts to explain phenomena that most wouldn't even think to question.
Imaginary numbers, pi, Euler’s number, the list goes on; all these things exist because a person was passionate enough about understanding them to dedicate their time and energy to their comprehension so that we might better understand the world around us.
What we know about math barely even scratches the surface of everything math encompasses; there are an infinite number of concepts and theories that we may never see in our lifetimes. Math is an ever-changing, bubbling mass of theories and concepts that, although some may never see the light of day, exist because someone had the courage to wonder about them. The reason why I love math is the same reason humanity has been able to adapt and survive for centuries; when thrust into the unknown, it is human nature to learn.
