    Bold Legacy Scholarship
There are many things I would love to be known for but most importantly that I was genuine, kind, helpful and loving. Do I want to do great things and be successful, of course, but if the last year and 1/2 have taught me. Success is not everything or should I say can be defined as how my money you have. To help others and not be judgmental and defensive. People have become so unkind and one sided. I want people to say hey he was so kind and giving. That I gave back to my community, family and friends. That I didn't choose one side, but listened to the other and their opinions and thoughts. That I learned from my ability to listen and process. That I was who I am because my parents taught me it is always better to give than to receive.
    Bold Happiness Scholarship
Lots of things make me happy and nothing has been more important over the last few years than to make sure you are happy and find happiness. The obvious things make me happy, my family, friends, my pets, school and sports. The definition of happy is the feeling or showing pleasure or contentment. Others are also having a sense of confidence in or satisfaction with a person, arrangement or situation. I think I look and achieve anyone one of these definitions in everything I do in my day to day life. Whether it be school, playing sports, spending time with family and friends. Life is full of disappointment and heartaches so l live my life to be happy everyday and know that happiness is right around the corner if something difficult or hurtful happens. Enjoy the little things. Laying on the couch with the dogs, throw a baseball with my mom, golf with my dad and brothers and just listen to 70's music with my sister in the car.
    Bold Bucket List Scholarship
Not sure the kids of today have the same bucket list as many in the past. Over the last two years my bucket list has been short term goals and achievements. Unfortunately, things like school, staying in session and sports seasons not being cancelled. One of my high school goals was to be part of the baseball that won Sectionals. My sophomore year our whole season was cancelled. The heart break was unreal. We came back our junior year with big goals. We won the Section II Championship. First time in school history. Unfortunately, NYS did allow State Championships. Now going into my senior year we have big goals. So yes, that is something on my bucket list that I have achieved. Future bucket list is playing college ball, to travel abroad and be successful in my career. Are they goals or bucket list. I think both. I'm still young, so not sure I have come up with big grand bucket list items. I think as far as things I have achieved so far. Covid has made the bucket list more about realistic things and yes one has been achieved.
    Bold Be You Scholarship
I am a kid who gets success from consistency. I'm not a drama kid. I kind of just flies under the radar. I take things in and make decisions based on what is the best decision for me and the situation. I work hard and play hard. I'm a baseball player so I know I have to work hard in school in order to work hard and productive on the field. I try to live my life knowing I'm a good person. I support and are there for my friends and family as I would expect they are there for me. At the end of the day I know I am a good person and I'm living my best life.
    Robert Wechman Mental Health Scholarship
Over the past few years I have seen mental health play a big part on how people handle small obstacles and large ones. I have one cousin who has ADHD. Got his Masters in Educational Phycology and was on an amazing path with his life. Him coming out as gay which everyone supported and him jumping into his first relationship was just something he could not handle. He has gotten into pills and drinking. To the point that I can't have the cousin relationship we use to have. I'm angry with him for not doing better for himself and for being disrespectful to the family who have tried to help. With that said, this pandemic has been awful for everyone. I have had to adjust from being a very outgoing kid and always on the go to handling and dealing with the quietness of remote school and sports being cancelled. My mom has always said its ok to be upset, mad and sad. It's the way you process it that really counts. Now that I'm older I understand that more and see the importance in really learning to accept, deal and move on with mental trying situations. It is so important for people to talk things out and for the acceptance of someone who may be struggling with some feelings and situations. I try to be more patient with myself and others. Not to judge or be judged.
    Bold Dream Big Scholarship
My first dream is to play baseball in college and I'm on my way to do so. To be honest does anyone have a compete dream for life. I think it is smart of have dreams or more like goals. I think dreams coming true happens as life happens. You might think your dream is to move to a big city, but you find a new love of something and it brings you to the country. You can say yes, I want to play baseball in college it is one of my dreams, but it is what you do in life that makes that come true. I have had to work hard to get there. So yes, dreams and goals are amazing things, but it is what you do in life and the people you share it with that make dreams come true. The events, successes, failures and decisions are what makes up dreams.
    Bold Caring for Seniors Scholarship
Growing up with my grandparents next door has taught me a lot about the way our seniors are treated. I have learned by having them next year that keeping the elderly in their homes is the most important thing. Our nursing homes are not in the greatest shape and the poor people in these facilities don't make enough money and are short handed. My parents have worked so hard advocating for my grandparents because in all honestly, how many elderly people have the ability doing this for themselves. Especially in this day of technology. Research shows even with help in the home it is cheaper than having a loved one in a nursing home. My grandfather has since pasted and was able to pass at home. My grandmother has aides and gets to be in her home and do the things she loves most. To improve their care we need more advocates. Better programs for seniors. Better pay for the ones who take care of our parents and grandparents. Our elderly have paved the paths for our success they deserve better care.
    Bold Best Skills Scholarship
Not sure if this is a skill. Patience is what got me to where I am today. I'm applying to colleges and I am going to play baseball at the college level. I would consider myself a late bloomer, being only 5’4 and 135 lbs in 9th grade, I struggled greatly to make travel teams. Once I tried out for a travel team with 3 friends. They all made it and I did not. I really wasn't big or strong enough. While this was a great disappointment I didn't give up. I continued to work hard. I worked out in the off season, played other sports and just left it up to time. It took a couple years and I really didn't grow until after my sophomore year. I'm now in my senior year I am now 6'2 and 170 pounds and being recruited to play college ball. It was all about patience and never given up on your dreams, even if it takes a little longer than everyone else to get there. Patience can be applied to many aspects in life. When something doesn't go your way or you get frustrated. Lots of time is you just sit back and be patient it all works out in the end. In this world today, after the last year and a half I think patience would do a lot of people a world of good. Maybe people wouldn't be so rude, entitled and mean. Patience people
    Bold Helping Others Scholarship
I love to use the strengths I have to help and be a part of helping others. For example, I coach, referee and mentor youth basketball. I take something I love and help kids today learn, love and play the sport. Being part of a community that supports kids in sports from an early age. Teaching kids how to be a team player, good winners and good losers. I grew up in this program and have taken a lot of this experience and use it throughout everything I do.
    Bold Know Yourself Scholarship
As a teenager navigating the ins and out of everything in your life is overwhelming. Drama between friends, not liking teachers or coaches. Liking a class not liking a class. Having a good game and having a not so good game. In navigating all of this I have learned that I have the abilities to learn from situations and adjust to situations. I do not get involved in drama and just let people live their lives. I worry about myself and how I present and carry myself. So maybe there is more than one valuable peace with all of that, but I really feel that I'm well adjusted on who I am and what I want. I learn from my mistakes and strive to be the best me I can.
    Bold Love Yourself Scholarship
Had to think about this one. One thing I do love about myself is that I don't do drama. I don't let things get to me and I have a great ability to move on. I do not involve myself in others peoples drama or get involved in the opinions of other especially when it is negative. I believe that being true to myself is the most important thing I can do to love myself.
    Bold Friendship Matters Scholarship
I have had the same best friend since I was 5. We met in kindergarten and have been the best of friends forever. Michael and I are both athletes. He was always bigger and stronger than me. He is a tremendous athlete, but was always there for me. Sports came easy to him. I had to work so hard, but him as my best friend never excluded me or left me behind. In turn I supported him in every aspect possible. There has never jealousy just support and love. When he made a team I couldn't I still went to his games and supported him and he did the same for me. He always talked me up to others and was and is my biggest cheerleader as I am his. There is not doubt that he could call me from where ever he is whatever he needs and I will be there without question. I know as we are in our senior year and heading to college next year we will still be there for each other. And yes, we are both going to play baseball in college and our friendship, support and dedication and just plain truth helped us get there. Friendship to me is that person that you know will be there for you no matter what. They will pick you up and get you through.
    Bold Investing Scholarship
I'm very new to investing and learning about all the ins and outs of the market and stocks. The one thing I have learned is you can't treat it or let it get out of control like gambling. Yes, stocks are a gamble but it takes a lot of research, planning and instincts to be successful. You have to be willing to be in it for the long haul. If you want to do it as a career you have to be patient and steady. You have to be smart and willing to wait for things to change and come around. There will be ups and downs and wins and losses.
    Bold Memories Scholarship
My sophomore year I broke my wrist playing basketball. I did know how this would impact my athletic career? The doctors put me in a cast that was on over a month. This got me worried because baseball season was right around the corner and my recovery would be hard. I had that cast on for what was the longest month and a half of my life. Baseball is my main sport and my passion, so it was crucial to me that I was back in time for the season. As soon as I got my cast off I got to work, focusing on baseball. I worked so hard every day, working out and doing baseball drills with my friends and teammates. It was my baseball coach who was my biggest mentor during this time. He went through many injuries himself, so he knew what it took to get back and he would never let me give up on my goal. I put the work in, not only with others, but alone as well, exercising late at night, and hitting off a tee and throwing into a net in my backyard. These were some of the most difficult moments of my life because there were times where I couldn't do anything to improve myself and it felt like I was taking steps backwards.I often had to reassure myself,it would get better, but it would take time. I had to stay patient. I couldn’t rush it and risk having to start all over again. When baseball season came around, I felt like I was as close to back to normal as I could get. I went through tryouts, and made my schools varsity team as a sophomore and now I'm going to play in college.

    Bold Motivation Scholarship
On a daily basis, I work hard to achieve and move forward toward my goals. Overcoming disappointment, I have worked very hard to become the baseball player I have become. Not always easy. In 9th grade I was 5'3 and 130 lbs. All my friends were so much taller and stronger. I didn't make the travel teams I strived to play because I was so small. But I continued to work out and work hard. I was the only sophomore to make make the varsity team then we had no season due to Covid. I took this time to work hard and get stronger. In my junior year I was now 6'1 and 160 pounds. I was named to the Foothills First Team All Star and was named Rookie of the Year. Our team worked so hard playing 22 games in 40 days. We won the Section II Championship. Unfortunately NYS did allow State Championships. Now going into my senior year I am applying to colleges and plan to play baseball at the college level. At 6'2 and 172 pounds.
