Loxy Burckhard Love is Kind Memorial Scholarship
"Love is kind" is something that is not tangible. Love is not something we do not boast or brag about, love is a pure feeling from yourself to yourself or others. It is how you treat one another you care for. Love is supposed to be a good feeling with good intentions and can be shown by doing acts of kindness, saying words of encouragement or affirmations, and having nice physical contact with one another. "Love is kind" is something I have also read in the bible. 1 Corinthians 13:1 says "Love is patient, love is kind. It does not envy, it does not boast, it is not proud. It is not rude, it is not self-seeking, it is not easily angered, it keeps no record of wrongs. Love does not delight in evil but rejoices with the truth." I think this truly explains love and how it works. Thinking about this bible verse is just one way that I exemplify these words, by carrying them around with me and remembering them every day when interacting with others. Every day I show examples of how love is kind by caring and acknowledging others around me. In the future, I plan to use my love and passion for agriculture and animals to influence the next generation of individuals who are passionate about the same things as myself. I plan to love and care for animals as well as people.
