Growing up I have always been motivated by my father and the way he does what he can to make my life easier. At a young age I realized that my family didn’t have that much money than the rest of the people around us. But my dad did not give up on what he wanted to see in his family. For him seeing his family enjoy life and being happy with what was given to them made him want to keep going forward. As a kid growing up I saw how tired my dad was after work but he would still smile at me and act like he wasn’t tired. The way he influenced me made me want to become like him. Throughout my childhood I have always been inspired in the way that my father does not give up even with how little he was working with. Coming over to a new country is not easy. You start all over again. But I am glad that he did to give me and my family a better life. Thanks to him I’m able to have many opportunities to have the life that I want. Like being able to go to college and have a good career to support myself and my family. Thanks to him I can pursue great things. He helped me realize how important it is to believe in your dreams and how you can accomplish them. I also have always been motivated by my heritage and how it inspires me to have a very good career, be financially stable and to accomplish my goals. It feels as if people like me don’t have a career - or the career they desire - or are financially able. I crave to be in that small percentage who does have a career and financial security. Since my parents passed down this life to me, I hope to make them proud by accomplishing what they couldn’t. Thanks to them, I’m able to get an education they could never have. With this, I will be able to take care of my parents when they can no longer work. I want to give them a life they always desired for themselves and their children. My dad being there for me definitely helped me develop how I am as a person. It helps me find out what kind of person I want to be, especially as I face challenges throughout my life. I’m glad to have an outstanding father that works for what he wants. And even though I didn’t have all the things that everyone else had, I got what I needed. That is why This opportunity is a blessing, and I know that not everyone can say the same, which is why I can’t give up. The journey will be difficult, but it will get done, hopefully, with this scholarship.

The White Rose Holy, quiet, and funny she is, As she goes to church and prays. In advisory she sits with Liz. But you must know, she does not come to play. Please beware of the white rose, For she is not afraid to attack. You never know when her anger might grow, So be sure to watch your back.
    MexiDreams Scholarship
Throughout my life, my Mexican heritage has always been an important part of me. At a young age, I was taught and raised differently. It was difficult for me being raised in a predominantly white area because being different was not easy. The other kids didn’t understand why we lived differently, and I never really felt accepted by them. Because of that, I realized early that no matter how hard you try to fit in, you can’t meet everyone's standards. Growing up, I was always motivated by my heritage and how it inspires me to have a good career, be financially stable and to accomplish my goals. Having immigrant parents, life was difficult. I was always aware of their struggle to pay bills and put food on the table. I remember my father coming home from work exhausted, yet we still struggled to have our essentials. My dad didn’t give up on what he wanted to accomplish for his family. Seeing his family enjoy life and being happy with what was given to them made him want to keep striving. Today my heritage shapes me to be proud, happy, and confident in what I want to do. That is why I am so thankful for my parents raising me with their Mexican heritage, even though I didn't initially accept it. As I’ve matured, I have been blessed with opportunities and people which is why having a career and financial stability is very important for me. I can accomplish this, but I will accept and appreciate any help towards my goals. This opportunity is a blessing, and I know that not everyone can say the same, which is why I can’t give up. The journey will be difficult, but it will get done, hopefully, with this scholarship.
