Bio

Hi, my name is Leah, and I appreciate you taking your time to read my profile. To begin, I took a gap year to figure out what I wanted to do with my life and worked to save money for college and other costs. I'm now enrolled at CSM to get a head start on my education, and I hope to finish in two years or fewer so that I can pursue bigger goals. I hope to become an anesthesiologist or an OB-GYN in the future because working in medicine has always been a love of mine. Further confirming the argument, my grandma had always referred to me as her little nurse because I would assist her when she was ill. When I'm not at work, I'm at home working on my Etsy shop, SeraphineDesignsArt, which I founded to assist fund my future medical profession. I wish to win scholarships to alleviate the burden on both me and my mother, who has been assisting me in affording my college education in order to pursue my dream of practicing medicine. My mother is a single mother with three children, including me, so you can guess that expenses are limited. Even though these are difficult times, I chose this path to begin my career. I hope that in the future, I am working a job that I enjoy just as much as my current one, which entails helping those around me and giving back to the community that helped me reach where I am today.

When it comes to technology, it may be difficult to deny that this business is being dominated by forces. STEM curriculums, while free for the exact purpose of any student to engage, are also often neglected by female students. Surveys show that girls have lost their interest in STEM studies and never continue to pursue careers in engineering. This issue isn't the entire American phenomenon; across Europe, women constitute a smaller proportion of computing jobs. There are quite a couple of elements at play here, but the fundamental cause is the way that STEM matters are being treated in Empire compared to other nations. Frequently, girls in Western nations are hindered by stereotypes and the lack of role models in these areas. When girls express interest in engineering fields, parents are often less supportive than business options. Alas, we still live in a period where women, referred to as 'girls', from the moment we're raised to believe we want to reduce our voices. Women's careers weaken when they come across as powerful. This is particularly the case for women of color. When we display specific behaviors and we're perceived as furious or menacing. Since the 1990s STEM is the term used to relate education policies to better competitiveness in science and engineering improvement, but it is so much more. STEM has implications for personal growth, education models, industries, no formal training, etc. STEM is the period that also affects the interest of the nation and some challenges like the gender gap. Do you not see that there is a problem? I'm sure you're aware that we live in a world where people judge each other based on their skin color, religion, gender, and other characteristics. So how will Western nations overcome existing attitudes toward women and people of color in STEM areas? Some organizations have already begun working to address this issue. Daughter Who Code and Girls in Tech are both organizations devoted to the advancement of women in specialized areas. These organizations host events, e.g., hackathons to showcase the best female talent at programming, and Girls in Tech holds conferences devoted to different fields, e.g., entrepreneurship and leaders. In conclusion, there are many reasons for diversity in STEM. There is no doubt that the need to increase diversity within STEM is a priority. Many factors can contribute to the success of STEM and one of them is the diversity of both women and people of color.

My black reverse, you inspire me to write. How I hate the way you fight and survive, Invading my mind day and through the night, Always dreaming about the backwards shive, Let me compare you to a blamed ember? You are more confused, bruising and ashamed. Famed frost nips the robins of December, And wintertime has the frustrated named. How do I hate you? Let me count the ways. I hate your framed attitude, world, and rights. Thinking of you musing world fills my days. My hate for you is the maimed masses. Let me compare you to a pretender? You are more quiet indolent and edge. Down frost nips the robins of December, And wintertime has the otiose kedge. Equality, you inspire me to write. Now I must away with an acclaimed heart, Remember my used words whilst we're apart. For I am always dreaming about the bare surround.

Human augmentation has also been used to edit human genes to be resistant to certain diseases.  And it is that piece of technology new and to some old that excites and inspires me that can make the world a better place.  I chose to say human augmentation because I imagine that if someone with a disability were not able to do anything the average person would be able to do physically that this may be able to help them. I also imagine that we have come so far that we can enhance the physical capabilities of humankind, what else can we do because next thing you know we might end up with a Captain America. Moving back onto the topic, even though it is my dream to become an anesthesiologist I find this so inspiring because in a way human augmentation has helped people who may struggle in life with a disability and maybe I can be a part of that.  I want to talk about some examples that we humankind have already designed and put out there on the market of human augmentation that helps with disabilities. For example, cochlear implants, cochlear implants are a controversial topic because they don’t recommend the ability of one hundred percent hearing and they may leave a ringing sound in your ear, but that doesn’t mean for some people that it won’t work and that it hasn’t helped them. Another example of human augmentation that has already been marketed in some form would be artificial limbs. Even though not a lot of people who have lost a limb have robotic limbs that function as if they didn’t lose a limb; they may still have an artificial limb that is helping them in everyday life. The last example I want to make would be the flyboard air; even though this may not be open to the public or if it may be on the market then it may be expensive, but it is quite like those hydro flight boards people use in the ocean.   We as humankind have come so far and have done things to help others or to just create and I believe that we will continue to do so as life goes on. I believe that human augmentation, even though controversial with some that human augmentation has helped those who are in need overcome limitations in their lives.

As a child I always tried to take care of my grandmother and in a way, it had helped shape a part of who I am today, but that's not the only thing that shaped me and that won't be the only thing that shapes me into the person I am in the future. Another experience that had shaped a part of who I am today other than my grandmother would have to be when I was a girl's scout, and we had done some volunteering where we had made little snowmen for the elderly for Christmas and had sung them a Christmas song. This had shaped me into who I am today because I tried to figure out a way in my head on how I can give back and help people doing a job that I had loved in the future. After all that has been said, there can be more than one thing that can shape a person it can be an experience, a family member, a friend, it really all depends on what happens and how the person takes that experience or advice from a family member or friend. I couldn’t choose just one experience because there are more than one and there will be for everyone because that’s how life works, you experience things, and you learn from them and form your own opinions to become the person you are today and hopefully life is great for that person learning.
