Mother. Caretaker. Protector. Friend. These are just a few words that describe the kind of person my mother is. She is the strongest, kindest, most loving person I know. My mother has impacted my life tremendously, and I would not be the person I am today without her guidance. My mother raised me as a Christian and has shown me a Christ-like love for all of my life. I have been beyond blessed by God to have her as my mom. I aspire to be like her, who I would describe as a “Proverbs 31” woman. “Strength and Honor are her clothing, and she can laugh at the time to come. Her mouth speaks wisdom, and loving instruction is on her tongue.” [Proverbs 31:25-26 CSB] Her strength and honor are undeniable, and I know I can turn to her in times of need. She is filled with so much wisdom, and she instructs in a loving way that helps to lead me to success. My mother was and still is instrumental in helping me become who I am today because she has set the highest standard of what a Lord-fearing woman of God looks like. My mom has always been there for my sister and me. She is like a superhero who does it all. She works, cooks, cleans, provides, nurtures, and educates. She has sacrificed so much just for the betterment of her children's lives. She lights up any room she walks into. She is overflowing with joy, love, and grace. When I look at my mom, I can see the Lord within her. I will continue my education at North Carolina State University this Fall, which will be my first time living away from my mother. I know it will be hard at first and especially very emotional for both her and me. I have always had her there right beside me. However, I know she has prepared me well and given me all the tools I need to succeed as a student, friend, and daughter. I recognize that losing a wife, mother, and grandmother has to be one of the most challenging battles humans have to face. Fortunately, I have not endured a tragic loss such as this, but I can sympathize with the family and close friends of Ginny Biada. From the beautiful paragraphs written about Ginny, I can tell she was a wonderful woman who impacted many people throughout her career. Still, more importantly, she has impacted her family and community. Not only was Ginny a loved wife, mother, and grandmother, but she left a lasting legacy that must be remembered. Her expression and love for the Lord leave me with no doubt that she is now thriving in Heaven with Jesus. In conclusion, I want to thank you for sharing your story about Ginny Biada and for allowing me to share about my mother as well. These God-fearing women greatly impact our lives, and we would not be who we are without their grace, wisdom, and compassion. There is no love like the love of a mother.
