Being a middle child is never easy so my goals are what kept me going .My long-term goal is to become a social worker, which requires obtaining my bachelor’s degree in social work. However, in order to reach this ultimate goal, I’ve broken it down into smaller, manageable objectives that will help me stay on track. These smaller goals include successfully completing my current semester, maintaining good academic standing, and gaining relevant work experience in the field of social work. One of my immediate goals is to finish this semester with strong grades, which will set a solid foundation for my future academic work. To accomplish this, I plan to adhere to a structured study schedule that includes the following: Time Management: I use a pink planner to map out my daily schedule, breaking down each day’s tasks to ensure I stay on track. I study during the evenings and weekends, setting aside a few hours each day to focus on assignments, reading, and test preparation. Study Resources: I plan to utilize university-provided resources such as tutoring services and the library, where I can find relevant materials and study guides. Additionally, I will engage in group study sessions when necessary. • Budget: I use my resources as much as I can constantly using my dining hall and being aware of the amount of spending and what I need versus what I want. I am an active participant in class discussions and seek help from professors during office hours when I need clarification. Internships is a big way I work towards my goal, I will apply for internships in local social work agencies or non-profit organizations to gain practical experience. I will start applying as early as my second year to ensure I have time to secure a position. Do Volunteer Work I also volunteer at local shelters, counseling centers, or community organizations to build skills that are valuable in social work, such as communication and crisis management. To access these opportunities, I utilize my school’s career center, network with professors, and attend job fairs. Additionally, I will use online job boards and social media to connect with organizations offering internships. to budget I use my flex dollars in the dining hall to buy snacks for whenever I’m out and I take the bus. To complete my bachelor’s degree, I ensure that I meet all the necessary academic requirements for my degree, including fulfilling general education credits, social work-specific courses, and internships. I plan to graduate in four years.Financial support I will apply for scholarships, and I will work part-time to cover additional expenses. I plan to allocate around $500per month for saving for tuition, fees, and basic needs because my parents don’t help. I will consistently monitor my progress toward meeting the degree requirements and ensure I stay on track by meeting with my academic advisor at least twice each month . I will also focus on building a strong network with professors and professionals in the field. While I have a clear path laid out, I understand that things might not always go according to plan. If any obstacles arise, such as a lower GPA or difficulty finding an internship, I reach out to professors, counselors, and career advisors for help if my academic or professional path becomes challenging.Flexibility in Timing: If necessary, I will extend my academic plan by a semester to ensure that I gain the required knowledge and experience to succeed in my career.

I switched schools a lot my highschool years so i was never really able to connect to many. A lot of them wre just like you are gonna move again so there is no point to even sparking and interest until i got to valley high. my teacher mr.Russell who is a health teacher ook his time to ask what did i want to do and how as i gonna accomplish it. he gave me goal stting plans and even gave me a run down of what it like being a tecaher. He set me up with volunteer work and openly congratulated me whenever i did something right. H would always ask me is that still my dream AND HOW IS EVERYTHING GOING. hE KNOWS ABOUT MY COLLEGE APPLICATIONS AND ALL. HE CARED About my life outside of acidenmics nad how i will use my brain to become better. He was like a goal but i told him my dreams out loud and he makes sure he repeats them back to me every time i see him to push me towards my everlasting goal of just being a leader for our next generation. He reminded me that i am never alone even when it may feel like it and kept me motivated throughout my whole junior year. Mr. Russell helped my find my goals big and small he helped me understand mental health and how to better myslef he also made me never wanna try alcohol or drugs in fear of acholah posioning and other things that we learned in that class. I am beyond greatful because he allowed me to understand that it is okay to not wanna do drugs even if my friends do it and that it is ok to be alone sometimes so my mind can rest and to speak out. Mr.Russell Became my school dad honestly pushing me to be my best self at all times and how to be brave. I know that there is a lot to becoming a tecaher but he gave me the real now i cant wait to go to college and do the same things he did making kids think twie and also give them a home in a classroom. i want to push pepole forward like he did and give children hope through there work and give them real life lessons along the way hoping i keep in touch with him along the way.

I am interested in teaching because growing up i have always loved to lead. I loved to be the cause of all things positive and to have the feeling of people depending on me . I was like having a gold medal. since the 6th grade i have made up my mind on teaching. I want to be the face kids can look at and think of appreciation. I want to be in someone storyline of "they saved my life" and the core memories of kids who were struggling but then they learned. I want to be the help in student's lives that make them want to push forward and want to do something and be better in life. I met a lot of teachers in my life that made things seem as they were just in it for the money but i want to give children a safe place and a spark of hope that a lot of teachers didnt give me. I am passionate about this career because i see how the school system is failing now and i want to ease children's minds rather then give them the feeling that everyone is giving up on them and that no one loves them. even if its only 30 kids at a time it is 30 good people in the world who may be a doctor or the next president. A lot of people thing oh teacher you are are gonna be broke. But i think of how rich i would be in gratefulness and family and love and hope. these kids arent just money in had they are life and what will take care of us when we are old. without our kids learning we will never have full love and we will never have peace we would be at constant word without teachers our generation would be a burning pit of war. I want to be the water that puts it out and grow the vision of lawyers instead of criminals and the image of going to college instead of quitting and becoming a fast food worker and living paycheck to pay check. I want o be a reason for life even if its not my own because in a world where children are not taught right there is no good world and everything will be destroyed so i wont just do it for the kids but ill do it for all of us.n

I wasn't able to read till I was in the 5th grade. I felt dumb and useless and like I was never going to graduate from anything. Once i finally got the concept i felt unbeatable but i took a lot of restless nights. staying up late on spelling words making sure i knew what i was reading / spelling and getting and understanding. my younger self felt power for the first time. now here i am today reading and writing speeches i took control and i set myself to a higher standard. i now have a 3.1 gpa and i am getting offers from colleges everywhere. I overcame the feear of not being the best in everyones eyes and learning that as long as im doing my best in my eyes that i am the best. even now i still struggle with some writing but reading is really an achievement i even do the moring announcements on mondays. I am proud of who i have become because books have way more stories them movies and now i can see the other side of it. English is now my favorite subject and now i feel like the smartest person i known. my education has been a true valule that no one can never and i mean never take awaya from ne because i am a strong educated black women with power in my braian and in my fingertips. my words now have meaning pwoer and reconicion . i want to give others that same power so i want to become a teacher. I want kids to feel what i felt and later write about there overcoimgs just like me because education is th emost important thing a person could have without knowledge there is no power and without power ther is no pecae. college is pricy but i know once i watch those kids grow it will all be worth it in the end the dept the loans the the hard work i will put back in our youth so kids could get there i finally made it type of mind ste and want to push forward with theter educationa nd grow more teachers. Because her i am now reading and writing this essay like its nothing and as my fingertips hit each key board i get happier knowing that i did it im a readedr i am a writer and i am more powreful then before.
