Bio

I am an interdisciplinary visual artist and art educator. I have exhibited my work at the New York Academy of Art in the XL Catilin Art Prize Exhibition in 2018 and participated in the 2019 New Prints series at the IPCNY. I create work using found materials, ceramics, fabric, and relief printmaking. I am primarily influenced by my Caribbean culture and research on social class privilege, citizenship, economic inequity, and how acts of violence impact urban predominantly black communities. I see my artwork as a tool to encourage the education of cultural identities of Caribbeans while fostering inclusivity to connect all people. I acquired a BFA in printmaking from New Jersey City University in 2018 and is currently a Masters in Fine Arts candidate at the University of South Florida.
