My name is Kendra Coe, and I am a freshman at Western Michigan University. I am studying paper and chemical engineering. As a paper engineer, I can help create more efficient and sustainable products, by making them out of paper. Throughout my schooling, I have always been the nerdy kid who loves math. Once I reached high school I realized I love physics too. All of this, combined with robotics club and falling in love with different labs in physics, has pushed me to this career in STEM. Throughout my life, my parents have always shown me the importance of giving back and volunteering. I spend around two hours a week volunteering at some organization, usually through my church. Volunteering is an essential part of my life and has shown me how to make a difference. Moving on to the next chapter of my life will involve major changes, especially financially. I am eager for the new memories and skills I will gain as I continue to further my education. I am also excited about the amazing opportunities I will have to make the world a better place.
