WinnerBio
My name is Kendall Urbano, and I’m a Public Health major preparing to transfer to UC Irvine or UC San Diego by Fall 2025. My ultimate goal is to earn a PhD and work in hospital administration, where I can advocate for underserved women and children. My passion for public health is deeply personal, shaped by the hardships I’ve overcome and the communities I’ve grown up in.
I balance being a full-time student with working nearly full-time hours and volunteering regularly. I’ve taken on leadership roles in campus organizations like Alpha Gamma Sigma, where I’ve helped coordinate clothing and donation drives for domestic violence survivors. I also volunteer with various foundations for youth burn survivors and other nonprofits that support children and families in crisis. Giving back is a huge part of who I am, and I make it a priority to stay involved in service work that aligns with my values.
These experiences have strengthened my ability to lead with empathy, communicate effectively, and stay grounded in my goals. I’m committed to using my education to create real change, and to be a voice for those who too often go unheard.
