Bio

I am Keira Diaz, a hardworking senior from Shadow Creek High School. I will graduate in May 2023 with my Associate Degree in General Studies and a high school diploma. In the upcoming Fall semester, I plan on attending Texas State University in San Marcos, TX, to pursue a bachelor's degree in social work. Any scholarship I receive will help me immensely because my parents have decided not to support my college finances unless I pursue a nursing career. Therefore, the funds I receive from these scholarships will help me pursue my dream of becoming an empathetic social worker. I still have much to learn, but by taking courses and meeting like-minded peers and new mentors, college is where I can pursue my dreams. I am more determined than ever to advocate for support and positive change.
