The goal I have for becoming a pediatric Dentist is I want to help educate younger and lower-income students about oral health and why it is important to take care of their oral health at a young age to avoid life or serious problems in the future, I also would like to travel the world and help kids from out of the country with low to no care can help kids better understand the oral health. Being a young African American is already hard and living with a learning disability is even harder but with the drive of my future, I won't give up on the kids that I want to help, I won't give up on the student who looking for someone just like them because once upon a time I was that kids look up famous people with dyslexia or doctors with disabilities this gives me the motivation to work hard towards my dream so I can later down the road navigate and teach the young students that were just like me. it is important to see success color people in the healthcare field there are many stigmas against us in this world and even in the healthcare field many don't trust us because of the color of our skin some don't simply believe in us based on our background that they might have seen and not took out the time to educate themselves about us color people and the struggles we are faced with not many understand how many of us colored people will like to become a doctor but lack of funding or lack of education support from our families but I believe in the upcoming years we as people will see many color people and kids will see more of those that look just like them and that what will change the way others think and look at us, the upcoming kids will be the one who will change the way the world look at color people but it will start with us as people to show and to create spaces for color to educate ourselves and other that might be feeling the same way, that's why it important that I become the person that makes that change it important that I come a dentist and help those that look up to seeing those just like themselves I know it will be hard but it will be worth it in the long run.
