      Pet Lover Scholarship
Growing up, I have always had pets, and I have loved each one unconditionally. I currently have only one pet which is a dog named chocolate and he is a chihuahua. He is exactly like me, which is a good and bad thing. He has changed my life in a big way by being the light in my life. When I got him, I was going through a stuff time with my mental health. He gave me a big reason to change my lifestyle, live my life to the fullest, and be the best version of myself. It is crazy to think my dog can do that but he is the reason I wake up every day. My pet has changed my life in the best way possible.

My everything is my family. My sister and my dog are the reason why I'm still living. They bring me out of my depressive episodes and are the light at the end of the tunnel. My mom gives me advice and warns me of trouble to avoid. My dad is the one who shows affection. He makes me feel like his little girl. My dog is the one that has my whole heart and the joy in my life. My family is my everything. They are the reasons I make the choices I do.
      Rita's First-Gen Scholarship
For me getting a college education is going to be my way of being independent and being able to achieve my family and my goals. I will be making my own decisions, and I will have a sense of freedom. I will be able to open myself to meeting new people and make lifelong friendships. Although my parents are still going to be a big part of my life, I want to be able to make mistakes and learn from them. I will also be able to retire my parents and give them the opportunities that they gave up for me back to them. I will be able to achieve my dad's dream of buying a house and making sure we all have some financial stability. I want to be able to make my parents and my sister proud. I want to be able to relieve the pressure that my sister has of being the firstborn. Although my wanting to get a college education is based on my goals and needs, my family is important and a big part of these goals I am trying to achieve. They are one of the most powerful motivations that I have and one of the biggest reasons that I will be able to attend college and graduate from college with a bachelor's degree and then attend a master's program.
