I think mental health is a problem that should be addressed on every level. On a national level, I think that the nation could form and fund certain programs worldwide where people who are struggling can contact any mentor nationwide at any time whenever they are struggling to seek help. I think mental health is something that everyone should be more open about and I think everyone should have access to the necessary resources to help them. On a state level, I think governors should fund places where people can seek help at any time. I think governors could create establishments where ANYONE can seek mental help free of charge, as it should be readily accessible to any and everyone. On a school level, teachers and counselors should work diligently to connect and check on each student throughout the weeks to make sure they are okay, rather than waiting for the student to seek help. I think teachers should also be able to seek help whenever they need it. They can create one-on-one meeting times throughout the school hours where a teacher or counselor meets with the students to check on them and make sure everything is going well for them. I think more schools should also implement service dogs. There was a service dog at my school and she really helped students when they were struggling and she was always there during school hours and major testing days. On a community level people can create groups within their neighborhoods and towns where they can meet each week and express their concerns and things they may be struggling with that are hindering their mental health. They can do crafts and find things that everyone enjoys (or just make them feel better) and they can do them as groups. Communities can also create chats where they send encouraging words and those who are struggling might even be able to just express that they need words of encouragement. On a family level, families can get together and engage with each other more. They can ensure that everyone in their families feels loved and included and make sure to let everyone know that they matter. Families could have game nights, movie nights or just anything where they are in each other's company having fun. Families should overall be more open to mental health and be able to listen to everyone's concerns without judgment. On a personal level, people should be more open with themselves and become comfortable with accepting that they may need help. People should openly seek help and be eager to become better without fear of being judged. People should also make sure that they have a strong circle around them that is always there for them and can always encourage them when they are struggling.
