Hi! I am currently a senior at Zionsville Community High School. I grew up in Zionsville, Indiana. I am compassionate, hard-working, and open-minded.
Though I am math-oriented, I love anything art-related including ceramics, jewelry-making, calligraphy, painting, and doing makeup. I am in the Science Club, Zionsville Girls Mentoring, and Freshmen Mentoring at my high school. Through Girl Scouts, I have discovered my obsessive passion for hiking, backpacking, canoeing, and anything outdoors. As the president of the Zionsville Girl Scout Troop, I have developed leadership, public speaking skills, and expanded my service initiative.
Last February, I went on a life-changing mission trip to Granada, Nicaragua. On behalf of the conversations I shared conversations with locals, the unreliable communal water pumps paired with the lack of sewage systems directly cause illness, while indirectly causing unemployment in Granada. My determination to become an engineer stems from these heartbreaking facts.
I am in the top 10% of the graduating class of 2023 at my high school. Additionally, after graduation, I will have taken 14 AP courses. From past high school science labs and real-world challenges, I have developed a determination to study chemical engineering in college. After graduating, I want to be a chemical engineer in the field of consumer products specifically in the cosmetic industry.
