Hello! I'm Justin Thompson, an ambitious and bold student pursuing a BA in Urban and Environmental Studies at Rhodes College, expected to graduate in May 2024. I am an Eagle Scout, accomplished athlete, and have interned at Congressman Steve Cohen's office. With a background in environmental studies, I've served as a Data Analyst Intern at Whole Child Strategies Inc. and contributed to research as a Plant and Greenhouse Rhodes Student Associate.
In leadership roles, I've been the President of Alpha Phi Alpha Fraternity's Nu Eta Chapter, Student Trustee in Rhodes Student Government, and a Representative in the Honor Council. My community involvement includes coordinating service events through the Laurence F. Kinney Program and working with the Pinky Swear Foundation as a Pinky Swear Ambassador. On the track, I've excelled in Rhodes College Cross Country and Track & Field teams. As the Operations Manager for the Rhodes College Little Lynx Running Team, I lead and organize track and field practices for children on the autistic spectrum.
My commitment to service is further demonstrated as the Program Coordinator for the Laurence F. Kinney Program, volunteering at St. John’s United Methodist Church soup kitchen, and organizing service events with environmental organizations. I am excited to continue my academic and leadership journey, leveraging my experiences to contribute meaningfully to the community and make a positive impact on the world.
