Bio

My life goals are to make a mark in this world for the better, make it an easier life for my family, and find solutions to simple problems. I am passionate about helping animals and showing people that animals are more important than we think and I love trying new things. I am a fantastic candidate because when it comes to many things, I try my best in everything, and I know myself to where I know there is a time and place for everything, and even if I fail it does not mean I can't get better and try again. Mistakes are little hindrances, but to be successful is something that comes only through hard earnings. So you have to keep going because success does not stop, and neither does the world. So I will keep learning about all I can, from people to animals and life. I won't stop, but I can rest, and my journey will never end.

I love volunteering even when I have to make the time out of my busy schedule because the things I help do make the effort and thought so worth it. Ways I act locally and help my community make a difference is through my volunteering A way I volunteer is through food drives in person and providing canned goods for those who need them, holiday or not, and beach clean-ups. Also, I plan to soon volunteer at a homeless shelter or work with senior citizens with my MTL club. I participate in a garden for FAU Upward Bound Math and Science. I volunteered at a farm that changed my life and a young girl's perspective. She wanted to ride but was terrified. We can all relate to how it feels to face fear, and it is horrifying to face it. The horse she was going to ride sensed her uneasiness and became uneasy & the person holding him could not calm him, and he was getting anxious and started to act up. So, I took him, but instead of being frightened, he trusted me to guide him and stay calm. I won't forget that level of trust because a horse can sense an uneasy rider and an uneasy rider is a nervous horse. It would freak out at any moment, even over the small stuff, if they didn't have someone calm and confident to guide them safely; I was able to calm the horse and the little girl into a peaceful state where she could enjoy the ride. After a few minutes, she started calming down, and I started a conversation with her; during that time she opened up about what makes her unsettled and happy. Throughout then, you could see the joy on her face even when he tripped. And when it was time to get off, she was like, wait, is that it? She enjoyed it so much that she didn't know the hour and 30 minutes was up. When she got off, she said she would only return and ride that horse when I was there. To have someone trust and believe you to keep them safe is something you won't ever forget. Interacting with animals makes people just people and teaches them to enjoy the moment no matter who they are because who they are or what they have doesn't define them. It gives them a break from what they are going through. Animals allow us to have some reflection time on our situations, and some even talk to the animals & they somehow feel better, even relieved. They still care and listen and help bring some peace to us either by showing us love with cuddles or kisses or by making us laugh at their antics. Volunteering with animals, I learned that fear is our root problem in understanding something or someone or even when trying to move on. When I introduce or show that animals are wonderful most people take a chance and trust me and learn and I always say that it's ok to be afraid but take chances and learn, and then I see them smile and laugh because of what the animal did. These memories of helping those who just need a little help to experience calm and joy in their life/moment will always stick with me. My passion now and in the future is to show people how animals can heal and connect us all. Through all my volunteering, I learned so much through compassion, empathy, and taking time to communicate with individuals because everyone has a story to tell.

I have been fascinated with animals my entire life; even as a baby, I would watch animal planet and be awestruck by it. That is why I plan to get a degree in animal sciences on my college journey, and no matter the amount of struggle, I will push through for the very reason of my degree is for my passion. I am passionate about making a change in my community. The most extraordinary experiences in my life are working with animals and what it has taught me. Working with animals has always been a hobby, but now it's become a career. Here is why my hobby and the growth & knowledge it gave me are essential to me. I found out how animals have a fantastic way of helping people. When meeting the animal, I may introduce them to both the animal and the person. Some might find a comforting feeling of curiosity and amazement when learning and being introduced to them, but some fear which is ok. They will find that animals don't care what you have or have gone through. Like many others, I helped this young girl with her fear when working at the farm. She was terrified she would not stop crying even before getting on. After a few minutes, she started calming down, and I started a conversation with her; during that time, I could see her calming more, and she opened up about what makes her unsettled and happy. After some time, I could see the fascination & enjoyment of learning about the horse she was riding when I talked about him. Throughout then, you could see the joy on her face even when he tripped. And when it was time to get off, she was like, wait, is that it? She enjoyed it so much that she didn't know the hour and 30 minutes was up. When she got off, she said she would only return and ride that horse only when I was here. To have someone trust and believe you to keep them safe is something you won't ever forget. That is when her mom approached and thanked me for helping her and told me she had Down syndrome. I was not aware at the time that she did. Interacting with animals makes people just people and teaches them to enjoy the moment no matter who they are because who they are or what they have doesn't define them; that's what I learned from animals since I was little. It gives them a break from what they are going through. Animals allow us to have some reflection time on our situations, and some even talk to the animals & they somehow feel better, even relieved, because animals don't care who you are to them. You are just your weird self, and in a way, that's all we crave; we want to be us. That's why we are so attached to animals because they don't judge, or a least that we know of, but even if they do, they still care and listen and help bring some peace to us either by showing us love by cuddles or kisses or by making us laugh at their antics. Working with animals, I learned that fear is our root problem in understanding something or someone or even when trying to move on. When I introduce or show that animals are wonderful and people take a chance and trust me and learn that it's ok to be afraid but take chances and learn, and then I see them smile and laugh because of what the animal did, it warms my heart but shush no one knows I have one so keep that a secret. These memories of helping those who just need a little help to experience calm and joyous in their life/moment will always stick with me because, at the end of the day, those who have suffered come to realize that animals don't care what you have been through as long as you take the time to try to understand them and be you they will love you till the end. My goal from my hobby now and in the future is to show people how animals can heal and connect us all, no matter what. The change I want to see in my community and the country is us making a difference & to do that; we need to try all together. One can make an excellent idea, but with everyone, there will be tremendous change. The world itself is fine, but those who live in it deter the world for their benefit with no regard for the world. So this is my goal for us as people to create a symbiotic relationship where the world and we benefit from each other. I love to volunteer when I have the time or even when I have to make the time. The way I act locally and help make a difference is through my volunteering. The thing is, it's not just with people but also animals/nature; the more I learn about people and nature/animals, the better I can understand some possible ways that we can create symbiotic relationships with each other without one detering off-balance, causing both to fall off course. It will be successful if I can successfully create a locally symbolic relationship with both people within my community and nature. Then I know it can spread to everyone's community without the earth or us being negatively affected. A further more in-depth of what I do locally is I work at a farm where I get to study and learn about animal behaviors and their interactions with people and people with them—simultaneously bringing joy to both parties. Also, I plan to volunteer at a shelter and maybe a conservation/rehabilitation center. Another way I volunteer is through food drives and or beach clean-ups. Also, I plan to soon volunteer at a homeless shelter or work with senior citizens with an MTL club. I also participate in a garden for FAU Upward Bound Math and Science. Another way I plan to help locally is through food production within the community/locally. I plan to test this solution for growing plants with biodiversity/without affecting the surrounding nature and minimizing/eliminating removing wildlife for our production space. A life taken from a community can affect everyone and even those not in it. So what happens if one life prospers within the community & that one person shares that prosperity with that community? Well, then that community grows & so if that community thrives, that one person takes that prosperity and shares it with others, everyone outside that community prospers, then the world prospers. That one person will be me and those willing to help me make a change on this earth. Those are just a few benefits of the change I want everyone to see because it's not about what I want to see changed but what we and the world need to be changed. Not for both to live but for both to prosper, and that's my goal, even if I don't fully complete it in my lifetime. I will ensure that there is a path for those who strive for the same thing or even better when I am gone. The more knowledge and information being spread, the better chances more people will get opportunities that we're available but have yet to be acknowledged. If one person grows and continues to be successful and help the world with possibly innovative/initiative ideas they thought they wouldn't be able to do because of unseen knowledge, imagine if all knew. The world prospers! The more we know about ourselves and the world we live in &we take knowledge of our effects on the planet, every little thing will thrive.

Our service can make many changes, bring happiness, growth, and opportunities, and help people create goals like mine for the quality of life of our communities. I need it because I'm a family of 5 and my family will financially struggling for my brother and me to attend college. I want to focus on my studies not paying loans.
