Bio

I am passionate about cultivating an educational setting that inspires creativity. My dream is to study faculty-staff relationships to students and how a students level of comfortability affects their helpseeking attitudes. I am driven, passionate, and capable. A chance on me is never a bad bet.

      Healing Self and Community Scholarship
I dream of a community-based program centered around mentoring and mentorship. It would begin with the leads trained by professional therapists to be good mentors. Having a counselor on staff to handle the heavier stuff would be highly beneficial. They would be selected based on education, experience, and overall knowledge of being a leader. I hope this will be a college-aged student. Hopefully, they will have an array of backgrounds and applied experiences. I would want the program available to the community but readily available to school-age children and their families. I would think of this as an intervention program. Studies show that students are more resilient when offered guidance by people who have been through it. I am from a low-income family. My parents did not have the time to set me up for a program, but if there was one already at my school that I would be at because I was an afterschool kid, then I feel like they would have. I want kids to feel supported by more than their school and their family. Taking advantage of a program like this could help establish interpersonal and intrapersonal skills that carry a child for a lifetime.
