Hi! My name is Joelle Dorsett and I’m a second-year Counseling Psychology Ph.D. student at the University of Miami. My research centers on the intersection between environmental justice and mental health in Black/Afro-Caribbean communities. In addition to this, I am passionate about supporting traditional forms of mental healing practices within Afro-Caribbean communities and simultaneously moving toward new practices.
