Hello there. I am Jonathan Martinez. I am currently a college student as we speak. My main dream is to become a lawyer by attending law school and supporting myself and my family. As a resident of the United States, I understand that there are times when people are unfairly convicted of crimes that they may have not committed, and as a future lawyer, I believe that I must protect those people and overall make this country a better place. Therefore, I want to win some scholarships to help aid me on my journey to law school and help me achieve this dream.

There is a lot connected between these 3 subjects, perhaps a lot more than many of us think.
To start, the definition of spirituality is complex. It generally means the ability to sense a greater being and try to make peace with them, but what makes it vague is the methods used to sense it. Many people usually try to find tranquillity within their lives, whether it's meditating, yoga, or even just trying to sit out on the grass at night and relax. These are all good ways, but many fail to acknowledge how exactly we can achieve it in the first place.
To me, spirituality cannot exist without science, and neither can math. This is because, to be able to sense a greater presence in your existence, you must be completely aware of the fact that our universe is vast. And of course, you cannot do this without the help of science. Science, in general, runs the whole universe, because you cannot design and build around something without knowing the physics behind it, and this applies to any other concept in this universe.
Likewise, the bigger mind that spiritual people have is useful for the concept of many scientific fields and is the result of many of the subjects we learn to this day. How do you think John Dalton discovered the fact that everything we know is made of atoms? He knew that there is more to us than meets the eye, so he took that concept and discovered that we're made of unseeable atoms. How do you think Dmitri Mendeleev made the first version of the periodic table? He sensed that there were more elements besides air, water, and fire, so he took that knowledge and expanded it. The ability to discover these things comes from the ability to sense that our earth--and our lives for that matter--has a lot of untapped potentials that we have yet to discover, and more knowledge is being sensed every day.
So what does math have anything to do with this? Well, mathematics is used to construct some of the ideas of science. Many of the scientific research and discoveries are ensured by the concept of constructing equations and solving them. Half-life, for example, is a concept relating to chemical decay, and what does it use? Math! Einstein's E = mc2 is another iconic example, relating to using the concept of energy and mass with speed, and is used today to determine the energy of an object. There are many more examples that I can give, but the important thing to know is that science and math are related in many aspects, a lot more than you think. Because of this, I believe science can't exist without math, let alone spirituality.
What I'm trying to say is, these three have a conjoined role with each other, and within these three elements comes a greater understanding of the human brain. Math is merely the process behind science, while science is just the human mind coming up with a conclusion and why it can work. Spirituality is taking the concept of science, and expanding it to within the knowledge of our universe with facts that, perhaps, are or are not true.

Let me start with a description of myself.
My name is Jonathan Martinez, and I am currently studying technology and its aspects. Everything I know about technology is relatively new to the family. For example, my father does work with technology, but it's mainly for construction and business purposes. My mother works with a computer, and she mainly uses her cellphone to call her patients. My point is, while both of my parents do know how to work with technology, it isn't their specialty. And that's alright because they have special skills that I don't have.
However, unlike them, I've known how to use a computer or a mobile device for virtually my whole life. I know that's something that many students know as well, but what makes me special is that I know how it operates, and what we can do with it. I have learned how to modify and change certain aspects of a computer for a long time now, and I think I can capitalize on these skills to help others change our world for the better.
Due to those reasons, STEM means a lot to me. Science and math have always been my top classes for my whole life, and that's for a good reason: you can do a lot with the knowledge of both of those subjects. Math is needed for economical decisions, and is also relatively straightforward to learn, yet it is a crucial part of everyday life.
Science, on the other hand, is far more interesting. In general, science covers a broad amount of topics, including technology, environments, chemistry, physical, and far more. Due to my vast potential into these subjects, I have decided to take an AP class dedicated to Environmental Science, and so far, I am doing remarkably well. I just think that the knowledge that you gain from being in a science class is phenomenal, and I don't just wish to learn more, but also take what I learn, and have the ability to make everything about it much better.
I've already discussed technology several times, so I'll explain engineering. Out of the 4 topics, I have the least knowledge on engineering. I don't really know how to construct, or build, so I may struggle on the learning process on engineering. However, that doesn't mean I will never learn about it, especially if I want to be able to make new inventions. I have the ability to be able to take what I learn, and use it to be able to create a path to my future, so I would absolutely love to learn engineering if I must.
Now, we move on to the topic of art. Art, to me, is the physical manification of your mind. Most paintings aren't swirly or rigid because it looks great, but because they are the envision of the artist's mind, and in a way, they represent the artist's personality, too. For example, a more peaceful painting may indicate that the artist has a more relaxed personality, while a swirly painting indicates that the artist has a more crazy, wild personality. No matter your painting though, you are an intregal member of society, and to that, I applaud you.
I'm not exactly the greatest artist myself, but I do know how it works, and why we should appreciate it. Without art, most of what we have won't exist. How would our world be like without paint, or bowls and plates for your food, or that sculpture in the middle of a city? Truth be told, I think most of us take art for granted, and I think that by acknowledging art's role in our world, we are able to appreciate what people do for us even more.
For these reasons, I am actively trying to achieve a better college education. Not just for myself or for my family, but also for the better of our world, and I wish to learn more about our culture for technology, and art. We have the potential to colonize another planet, or even convert a plant into fuels. With all of that knowledge in mind, we should be able to do a lot more than we already have. I believe in the future of mankind, and I wish that I could participate a role into shaping our world into something amazing.

You could say that my life does revolve around technology.
I've always have been a technical expert, at least around the first time that I've learned how a computer works. When I was younger, I was very amazed at what a computer can do, and since then, I've devoted my life to studying what technology can truly do.
I've always been inspired by many great people in my life. My older cousin, for example, is a great influence for anyone to see in terms of education. He has done a lot for our family, and he is one of the first people to go to college full time. It was him that inspired me to change for the better, and focus on a career that I can be truly passionate about. In my case, it's technology, and what we as a race can do with it.
That being said, while technology is truly marvelous for many people, including me, it still has heavy drawbacks that prevent it from being used to its fullest potential. It requires a great amount of investment to make something that can revolutionize the world, and there have been great ideas that have only been held back by a lack of investment. Teleportation, for example, has always been a cool concept in many fictional movies and series, and it would be cool for it to become a reality.
That's where I come in. I'll try to be able to be one of the first people to be able to explore these concepts. No matter what the costs are, I believe that we have a great amount of potential to revolutionize our lives and create new products.
For example, I can explore the concept of the aforementioned teleportation. I can discover how it works, how I can use it for technology, and how I can be able to accomplish shaping mankind for the better. What this idea will do is revolutionize the way we travel, the way we can haul items and others from place to place, and more importantly, this invention will be able to inspire others to be able to create their inventions or be able to expand upon this concept to create something greater.
I don't just want to create new technology, I also want to help improve our current technology as well. I think our current technology is great, but there could be a few changes that make our lives better. For example, I think cellphones could be used to wirelessly turn on a tv, or open an automated door. I think something like adjusting the brightness of light would be a great idea as well, helping conserve electricity, and save money.
To conclude, I want to improve everyone else's life. Modern technology has done so already, but I think there is an untapped potential to our technology, and it is up to us to be able to unlock it and make our lives better.
