My name is Jenny Smith I’m 41 years old . I went into the military at 17 with the consent of one parent my mother . She believed in my fully. I went in as a 63b10 in 1999 ( light wheel mechanic). I enjoy working with my hands and she encouraged it . My father got into a horrific accident when I was 6 years old and had some damage to his brain . Before his accident tho he graduated from technical school as a diesel mechanic. So to honor my father I followed his footsteps in the military. I thought what better way to serve my country and honor my father at the same time . I met my husband a month later ; after I signed up . we both were still in high school. The summer came and I shipped to basic . I was excited and terrified . I found my calling . I knew I was me at to be a soldier . It came natural to me . I had no issues following directions. I had no issues with a weapon because Uncle Sam gave me that knowledge I had none of that knowledge beforehand. My PT score was in the top percentage. I graduated come home and did my drilling and worked a civilian job. In 2001 September 11th happened. Shortly after that the US was on the brink of war. I Got married in 2002 and was pregnant when my unit got sent overseas. So therefore I was unable to go. 2005 I was also suppose to go overseas and found out I was pregnant with my second child . So again I didn’t go . During this time I made decision when the time come to end my time in the service I would . I took the time to explore careers in the civilian world to really understand what I wanted to do . Now I have raised my children and I am fully focused on what I want and need in my life to accomplish my education. I see myself after graduating college with my own salon / barber shop /spa .Volunteering my expertise in my field to help veterans and many walks of life with the knowledge that the education I acquire will help me provide. I took me a long bumpy road to get where I am today but I have the courage because of where I start to know that I can achieve any goal I put in front of myself

I would like to introduce myself . My name is Jenny Smith I am 41 years old . I just recently started college this year fall of 2023. I am pursuing to be a cosmetologist and I absolutely love it . It gives me complete joy and comfort talking to someone about their daily lives. I enjoy helping make them feel beautiful on the outside as well as inside . It is important for me to do this as I feel not every has that outlet to talk or to have someone to do hair or makeup for them. I want everyone to feel included. I want everyone who leaves my chair feel rested and completely beautiful when they leave . Being able to provide exceptional service is a very important key feature I would like to see go into my daily practice on all levels ; home , school and work . I want to be able to do this until I retire whether that is ten or twenty years down the way. I have many years left I plan on doing this for a very long time. I hope that you will consider me a good candidate . I would love to make you and your sister proud.
