I'm a first generation college student of civil servant parents who serves over 35 years combined in law enforcement. My experience for the past 10 years has been as a classroom teacher and I now embark on a new challenge with the opportunity to return to school to fulfill my dream of becoming a registered nurse. So much funding is available for students immediately after high school however, with age comes wisdom and experience. What we as students want for our career goals and life at 18-21 is different as we grow and mature and my prayer is to be granted additional scholarships to help me fund my second degree.
