High school is a crucial time for many students, as they navigate the challenges of adolescence and prepare for the next stage of their lives. For me, this journey was made much smoother thanks to the influence of one special teacher: my biology teacher at Pioneer High School in Sfax, Tunisia.
From the very first day of class, it was clear that this teacher was different from the others. She would greet us with a military-style salute, and she would pause from time to time to impart the wisdom that went far beyond the confines of the classroom. These life lessons would stay with me long after the class was over and continue to shape the way I approach my life to this day.
One of the things that I appreciated most about this teacher was her willingness to listen to her students. She would always encourage us to ask questions and to explore our curiosity, no matter how small or insignificant the question may have seemed. This was a stark contrast to some of the other teachers, who would often shut down discussion and discourage curiosity. But in this teacher's class, I always felt like my voice was heard, and my questions were valued.
Another thing that I admired about this teacher was her commitment to excellence. She had high expectations for her students, and she pushed us to be the best that we could be. But at the same time, she was always there to offer support and guidance when we needed it. She believed in us, and that belief was contagious. It made us want to work harder and strive for excellence in all that we did.
But perhaps the most important lesson that I learned from this teacher was the importance of resilience. Life is full of challenges and setbacks, and it's easy to become discouraged when things don't go as planned. But this teacher taught us that it's not the challenges themselves that define us, but rather how we respond to them. She encouraged us to be resilient in the face of adversity, to never give up on our dreams, and to always keep pushing forward no matter how difficult things may seem.
Looking back on my high school years, I realize just how much this teacher influenced my life. She taught me the value of curiosity, excellence, and resilience, and she inspired me to pursue my dreams no matter what obstacles may come my way. I am so grateful to have had her as my teacher, and I know that her lessons will continue to guide me on my journey through life.
In conclusion, the story of my biology teacher at Pioneer High School in Sfax, Tunisia, is a powerful reminder of the impact that teachers can have on their students' lives. Her commitment to excellence, her willingness to listen to her students, and her emphasis on resilience are lessons that I will carry with me for the rest of my life. I am so grateful for the influence that she had on me, and I know that I am not alone in being inspired by her teachings.
Ella Hall-Dillon Scholarship
The journey of my family to the United States has been a challenging one, marked by separation, struggle, and sacrifice. My parents' divorce resulted in my father moving to the US, where he started a new family. For many years, I remained in Tunisia with my mother, who had to bear the weight of raising two children as a single, half-blind woman in a society that often looked down on such individuals. Despite these challenges, I was able to excel academically, attending a prestigious school and earning top honors.
However, the desire to pursue higher education and a fulfilling career in medicine eventually led me to make the difficult decision to move to the US and live with my father after 13 years apart. Leaving everything and everyone I knew behind was tough, but I knew that I needed to take control of my life and pursue my dreams. My heritage and upbringing in Tunisia have instilled in me a sense of pride and responsibility to represent my community and country to the best of my ability.
My experiences have taught me the value of self-sufficiency, independence, and resilience. Despite the challenges that I have faced, I remain committed to succeeding in my academic journey and becoming a brain surgeon. I am determined to make up for the time that I have been apart from my mother and build a better life for myself and my family.
Even though my family's journey to the United States has been a difficult one, it has taught me the importance of perseverance, self-determination, and the pursuit of education and career goals. My heritage and upbringing have shaped my identity and personal growth, and I am proud to carry these values with me as I continue on my academic journey.
Doña Lupita Immigrant Scholarship
As a Tunisian-American, my identity and personal development have been shaped by the rich cultural diversity of my home country. I am proud to be Tunisian and feel a strong sense of responsibility to represent my country and community to the best of my ability. Growing up in Tunisia was not easy, as I experienced the pain of a broken family and the prejudices of our society towards single mothers. But I am grateful for these experiences because they made me stronger, more determined, and more self-sufficient.
One of the most difficult decisions I had to make was to leave my country and move to the USA to live with my father after 13 years of separation and pain. Despite the challenges I faced, I did not give up on my dreams. I held the national competition to attend the pioneer middle school, took care of my mother when she was terribly sick, and studied harder to succeed. These experiences pushed me to be more determined, to turn my mother's suffering into a source of pride, and to succeed in my education and life.
Now that I am pursuing my education in biomedical engineering, I am committed to making a positive impact on the healthcare system and the individuals I serve. As a future brain surgeon, I am dedicated to using my knowledge and skills to help those in need. I believe that my role as a physician is not only to treat illness but also to prevent it and to promote the health and well-being of my patients.
As a parent, I hope to instill in my child(ren) the same values that my single mother instilled in me: determination, self-sufficiency, and a strong work ethic. I want my child(ren) to know that they can achieve anything they set their minds to and that their past does not define their future. I want them to understand that life is not always easy, but that hard work and perseverance can help them overcome any obstacle. And most importantly, I want them to know that they are loved and valued for who they are and that they have the power to make a positive impact on the world around them.
In conclusion, my experiences growing up in Tunisia have taught me the value of determination, self-sufficiency, and hard work. I am grateful for these experiences, as they have shaped my identity and personal development. As a future physician, I am committed to making a positive impact on the healthcare system and the individuals I serve. And as a parent, I hope to instill in my child(ren) the same values that my single mother instilled in me so that they too can achieve their dreams and make a positive impact on the world around them.
Novitas Diverse Voices Scholarship
As a Tunisian immigrant in the USA, I have experienced firsthand the power of diverse voices in shaping public narratives. Growing up in Tunisia, I was exposed to a nation rich in cultural diversity. This diversity shaped my identity and personal development and taught me the importance of listening to and learning from individuals with different backgrounds and perspectives.
When I moved to the USA, I was struck by the stark differences between the two cultures. The USA is known for its diversity, and I quickly realized that this diversity extends beyond ethnicity and race. People from different socioeconomic backgrounds, religions and even regions of the country have unique perspectives that shape their experiences and worldviews.
In public relations, it is critical to recognize the power of diverse voices in shaping public narratives. The narratives we consume shape our understanding of the world around us, and it is essential to ensure that these narratives are reflective of the diverse experiences and perspectives of the individuals they represent.
For example, in the wake of the Black Lives Matter movement, we have seen a shift in the public narrative surrounding racial justice. The voices of individuals from diverse backgrounds have been amplified, and their stories have shed light on the systemic racism and inequality that still exist in our society. This has led to increased awareness and a push for change.
As a Tunisian immigrant, I have had my own experiences with discrimination and marginalization. But I have also seen the power of diverse voices in shaping public perceptions of immigrants and immigrants' contributions to society. By sharing our stories and experiences, we can challenge stereotypes and misconceptions and promote understanding and empathy.
One of the most important lessons I have learned is the importance of listening to and learning from individuals with different backgrounds and perspectives. In public relations, this means prioritizing diverse voices in the creation and dissemination of messages. It means actively seeking out and amplifying the voices of marginalized communities and providing them with a platform to share their stories.
Furthermore, the power of diverse voices extends beyond shaping public narratives to promoting inclusivity and equality in our society. By actively seeking out and valuing the perspectives of individuals from diverse backgrounds, we can create a more inclusive and equitable society. We can promote empathy, understanding, and unity, and work towards creating a world where everyone feels valued and heard.
In conclusion, as a Tunisian immigrant in the USA, I have seen firsthand the power of diverse voices in shaping public narratives. I believe that public relations professionals have a responsibility to ensure that the narratives they create and disseminate are reflective of the diverse experiences and perspectives of the individuals they represent. By prioritizing diverse voices and promoting inclusivity and equality, we can create a more empathetic, understanding, and equitable society. I am committed to promoting the power of diverse voices in all aspects of my life, and I believe that this commitment will help me make a positive impact on the world around me.

However, I have never lost sight of my ultimate goal. Despite the obstacles I have faced, I have maintained a strong work ethic and a fierce determination to succeed. I know that my past experiences have prepared me to overcome any challenge that comes my way, and I am confident that I will achieve my goals.
Looking toward the future, I am excited to continue on this path and make a positive impact on the world. Xavier M. Monroe Heart of Gold Memorial Scholarship
My senior year is about to begin: It's time to make a decision. But how can I leave my mother's lap after our unique bond? Isn't it too much for me to bear? Will I be able to live with my father, with whom I spent barely the first four years of my life? And what about all of the hard work I put in preparing to attend the pioneer high school in Tunisia? I'm perplexed. But I can't do it any longer. Every day, that eager desire to pursue the life I truly deserve, to face the real world, haunts me. So I put a stone in my heart and decided to leave my country and move to the USA to live with my father after 13 years of separation and pain.
Pain, I’ve been through a lot. Divorced parents and a father who abandoned us, traveled abroad, and remarried were too much for a little girl. I had to discover on my own that I had a younger brother when he was four years old. I have no happy memories of my family. The only remaining memory that’s still stuck in my head is of my parents arguing when I was three years old... I was left with my mother, who became a divorced lady suffering from the prejudices of our Tunisian society and a single mother with two children to raise. And having a busy mother was never easy. Yet, I’m grateful for it all because It built me: Despite my young age, I needed to learn how to cook, go shopping, and do the housework. All of this is to ensure that my mom never feels bad for not being able to do these things, even while I held the national competition to attend pioneer middle school and had to take care of her meds when she was sick. Despite all of the difficulties, seeing mom in pain pushed me to study harder, to be more determined to succeed, and to turn her suffering into a source of pride. And I did it!
I did it. But now that I’m having these thoughts about leaving, I’ve changed a lot. How can I be so selfish and leave to pursue my life? We were relying on one another. But, if I hadn’t left, I’d have been making a huge mistake by focusing on my loved ones while neglecting myself. I’ve already wasted so much time to finally realize that my life matters, that I have to clear my mind of that miserable past and move on. How much longer will I be the victim? Will that help ease my guilt when I fail without even trying? Will I deprive myself of succeeding in my education and life because of the toughness in my past? That voice was killing me, I had to choose whether to follow my path or live miserably in the past. So I decided to succeed. I started digging deep into my thoughts to discover who I truly am, I started considering that I don't exist to be a spectator in life or to wait for a superhero to save me; I exist to be my superhero and I'll no longer be a victim of what happened; I'll be the one to pull myself out of the messed-up past that I'll never forget but will use to create my present. Now, I've left my mother, my school, my friends, and my country to start building the life I've always desired, and I've promised myself that I'll achieve my goals because I AM worth it.
Wellness Warriors Scholarship
As a future college student, managing personal wellness is crucial for both physical and mental health. I have always believed in the importance of taking care of oneself, and I make sure to prioritize activities that help me maintain my well-being. One of my favorite ways to unwind and destress is by playing the guitar. Music has always been a passion of mine, and playing the guitar allows me to express my emotions creatively. Another activity that I enjoy is reading. It helps me escape reality for a while and enter a new world. Reading has also helped me to expand my knowledge and broaden my perspectives. I try to read for at least an hour a day, and it has become a habit that I look forward to.
Horseback riding is another activity that I love. It helps me connect with nature and provides a sense of freedom that I cannot find anywhere else. There is something about being on a horse that makes me forget about my worries and just focus on the present moment. It also requires physical exertion, which is a bonus.
Running is another physical activity that I engage in regularly. It helps me to clear my mind and release endorphins that improve my mood. I try to run at least three times a week, and it has become a habit that I look forward to. It has also helped me to stay in shape and maintain my physical health.
In addition to these activities, I also enjoy participating in theater productions. It provides an outlet for my creativity and allows me to collaborate with other students. It is a fun way to express myself and learn new skills.
Finally, I practice meditation to maintain my mental health. It helps me to be present and focus on the current moment, which is especially helpful during stressful times. Meditation has helped me to reduce anxiety and improve my overall well-being.
Maintaining personal wellness is essential for academic success. When I engage in activities that make me feel good, I am better able to focus on my studies and achieve my goals. It also helps me to manage stress and avoid burnout. By prioritizing self-care, I can maintain a healthy work-life balance and avoid feeling overwhelmed. It has also improved my overall academic performance and helped me to achieve academic success.
In conclusion, managing personal wellness is crucial for both physical and mental health. As a future college student, it is important to prioritize self-care activities that help us maintain our well-being. For me, playing the guitar, reading, horseback riding, running, participating in theater, and practicing meditation are essential activities that help me maintain my well-being. These activities not only help me to destress and unwind but also improve my overall academic performance. By prioritizing self-care, we can achieve academic success while maintaining a healthy work-life balance.

Hester Richardson Powell Memorial Service Scholarship
Growing up in Tunisia has shaped my identity and personal development. However, my journey has not been without its challenges. My parents' divorce, my father's abandonment, and a society that has prejudices against single mothers have all contributed to my struggles. But I did not let those struggles define me. I am proud of the resilience I have demonstrated in the face of adversity, and I hope that my story can inspire someone else.
The summer before my senior year was a turning point in my life. I had to make a decision that would change the course of my future. I decided to leave my country and move to the USA to live with my father after 13 years of separation and pain. It was a difficult decision to make, and I was riddled with doubts. I had to leave my mother behind, with whom I shared a unique bond, and start over in a foreign country with a father whom I barely knew. But I knew that it was the right decision for me. I could not continue living a life where I was not pursuing my dreams and aspirations.
Despite the difficulties I faced, I persevered. I knew that I had to be self-sufficient, and I had to learn how to cook, go shopping, and do the housework. All of this was to ensure that my mom never felt bad for not being able to do these things, even while I held the national competition to attend the pioneer middle school and had to take care of her meds when she was terribly sick. My experience has taught me that resilience is not about denying pain or difficulty. It is about acknowledging them and then finding ways to overcome them. It is about discovering who you truly are and realizing that your existence has a purpose. I have come to understand that I do not exist to be a spectator in life or to wait for a superhero to save me. I exist to be my own superhero, and I will no longer be a victim of what happened. Resilience is the key to overcoming adversity, and it is something that we all possess. We must believe in ourselves and our ability to rise to the challenge. When we do, we can achieve great things.
In conclusion, my journey has been a difficult one, but it has also been one of growth and resilience. I hope that my story can inspire others to believe in themselves and pursue their dreams. We all can overcome adversity, and when we do, we can achieve great things.
“I Matter” Scholarship
As the president of the social work commission at Leo Club Sfax El Bay in Tunisia, I had the opportunity to help many families in need. My main task was to plan philanthropic activities to assist these families in our community. I was also responsible for mentoring a team of 40 people, assessing our budget based on our goals, preparing sponsorship contracts, and contacting companies that might donate to our cause.
One of the most memorable moments during my term was when we were able to deliver school materials, food, winter clothes, and blankets to over 250 underprivileged families in our community. Seeing the smiles on their faces made all the hard work and long hours worthwhile. I felt a great sense of pride in our team's work and its connection to the community.
I won't claim it was an easy task. With exam periods and the pressures of high school, I often found myself fatigued and desperate. But the knowledge that we were making a positive impact on the lives of those in need helped keep me motivated.
Throughout my term, I made several mistakes and learned a lot from this experience. In this role, I was responsible for planning philanthropic activities to assist the families in my community that are in need. I mentored 40 people on how to establish our objective and achieve it in the time provided, assessing our budget based on our goal and preparing sponsorship contracts, contacting companies that may donate, and arranging money-making events to assist us to realize our target. Together, we delivered school materials, food, winter clothes, and blankets to over 250 underprivileged families. Seeing the smiles on the faces of these families made me forget about everything else and feel proud of the team's work with devoted hearts and connection to the community.
Through this experience, I learned important skills that have shaped my thinking about social responsibility and community service. I learned how to be patient with team members, find solutions when my plans didn't work, and most importantly, manage my time as a student and a Club representative. Learner Education Women in Mathematics Scholarship
I have always been drawn to math. There's something about its logical structure of it that appeals to me. As a child, I enjoyed puzzles and problem-solving, and math seemed to offer a never-ending supply of both. But it wasn't until I discovered calculus that I truly fell in love with math.
Calculus is a branch of mathematics that deals with the study of change and motion. It's a subject that allows us to understand and predict the behavior of the physical world around us. For me, calculus is not just a tool for solving problems, but a way of seeing the world. Through calculus, I can see the beauty and elegance in the way that the natural world operates.
One of the most fundamental principles of calculus is the concept of limits. A limit is a value that a function approaches as the input approaches a certain value. This may seem like a small detail, but it has far-reaching implications. Limits are what allow us to take infinitesimal changes and turn them into something meaningful. They are the building blocks of calculus, and without them, we would not be able to understand the complex phenomena that calculus can explain.
Another principle of calculus that has shaped my understanding of the world is the concept of derivatives. A derivative is a rate at which a function changes. This may seem like an abstract idea, but it has practical applications in fields ranging from physics to economics. Derivatives allow us to understand the behavior of things like velocity and acceleration, and they have helped us develop some of the most important scientific and engineering advancements of the modern era.
But perhaps what draws me most to calculus is its ability to solve complex problems. Calculus has the power to take seemingly impossible problems and turn them into solvable ones. I remember the first time I learned how to solve a differential equation, and it felt like I had unlocked a whole new level of understanding. Suddenly, problems that had seemed insurmountable became approachable, and I was able to apply calculus to real-world problems in ways that I had never imagined before.
My love for calculus has also influenced my academic pursuits. I am currently pursuing a degree in engineering, and calculus has been a cornerstone of my education. Whether I'm working on a design project or analyzing data, calculus is always there to help me make sense of the world around me. I have also been able to apply calculus to research projects, where I have used its principles to analyze complex systems and make predictions about their behavior.
In conclusion, what draws me to math is its ability to explain the world around us. It's a language that we can use to describe the behavior of the natural world, and calculus is the most powerful tool in that language. Through calculus, I have gained a deeper appreciation for the beauty and complexity of the world, and I have been able to use its principles to solve some of the most challenging problems I have encountered. I am excited to continue exploring the world of math and to see where its principles can take me in the future.
Future Is Female Inc. Scholarship
Feminism, to me, means advocating for gender equality and promoting the empowerment of all individuals regardless of their gender. It involves fighting against discrimination, oppression, and stereotyping based on gender. Feminism is important because it aims to eliminate the barriers that prevent women from realizing their full potential and achieving their goals. It is a movement that seeks to create a world where all individuals are valued and treated equally.
Growing up in Tunisia, I witnessed firsthand the impact of gender inequality on women. Despite the country's rich cultural diversity, women often faced discrimination and were limited in their opportunities. As a young girl, I was expected to fulfill certain societal expectations and conform to traditional gender roles. However, my mother, a single mother who worked hard to provide for my brother and me, showed me the strength and resilience of women. She taught me to be independent, hardworking, and determined. She is an inspiration to me and has impacted my view on feminism. Seeing her overcome the obstacles, including fighting the prejudice of our Tunisian society as a divorced woman, working hard to feed my brother and me and fighting her illness that cost her the ability to see with her right eye, faced has motivated me to fight for gender equality and to make a positive impact on society.
As I pursue my education in biomedical engineering, I am committed to using my knowledge and skills to make a positive impact on healthcare and medical problems. As a future physician, I hope to advocate for the needs and rights of women and to promote gender equality in the healthcare system. In addition to my academic pursuits, I am also involved in various organizations that support and empower women. I volunteer at a local women's shelter, where I help provide support and resources for women who have experienced domestic violence or other forms of abuse. I also serve as a mentor for young girls in my community, helping to build their confidence and encourage them to pursue their goals.
In conclusion, feminism is a movement that is essential for creating a world where all individuals are valued and treated equally. My personal experiences growing up in Tunisia have shaped my understanding of the importance of gender equality and motivated me to contribute to the feminist movement. My mother's resilience and determination have inspired me to advocate for women's rights and work toward eliminating the barriers that prevent women from realizing their full potential. As I pursue my goals in biomedical engineering and medicine, I am committed to making a positive impact on society and promoting gender equality in all aspects of life.

The best piece of financial advice I have ever received came from my grandpa during a conversation about saving and investing. He told me, "Pay yourself first and let your money work for you." This advice has stuck with me and has guided my financial decisions throughout my college career and beyond.
To me, paying yourself first means making savings a top priority. It means setting aside money for your future goals before spending on anything else. I've taken this advice to heart and have made it a habit to save a portion of every paycheck I receive. Even when I was earning minimum wage in my first job, I made sure to set aside some money for my savings account. This approach has helped me build a strong financial foundation and has given me the confidence to pursue my goals.
One of the ways that I have utilized my grandpa's advice throughout my college career is by creating a budget. I've always believed that it's essential to have a clear understanding of your income and expenses. By tracking my spending, I can see where my money is going and make adjustments to ensure that I am living within my means. I use a spreadsheet to track my expenses and have categories for everything from rent and utilities to groceries and entertainment.
Another way I have applied this advice is by setting up automatic transfers to my savings account. As soon as I receive my paycheck, a portion of it is automatically transferred to my savings account. This ensures that I am consistently putting money away and not tempted to spend it on non-essential purchases.
While saving is crucial, my grandpa's advice also emphasized the importance of investing. By letting your money work for you, you can take advantage of compound interest and grow your investments over time. I've always been interested in investing, and I've spent a lot of time learning about the stock market and different investment strategies. I believe that a diversified portfolio of stocks and mutual funds can provide long-term growth and help me achieve my financial goals.
Of course, investing comes with risks, and it's important to do your research and make informed decisions. That's why I have made it a priority to educate myself about personal finance and investing. I've read books and articles, attended workshops, and even taken a personal finance class to learn more about money management and investing.
My grandpa's advice has also influenced my approach to spending. While I enjoy shopping and treating myself to nice things, I try to be mindful of my spending habits and prioritize my financial goals. For example, if I have a big purchase in mind, like a new laptop, I will set a savings goal and work towards that goal over several months. This helps me avoid impulse purchases and stay on track with my financial plan.
Looking beyond college, I plan to continue to utilize my grandpa's advice in all aspects of my financial life. As I start my career, I plan to prioritize saving for an emergency fund, retirement, and other long-term goals. I also plan to continue investing in a diversified portfolio of stocks and mutual funds, with the guidance of a financial advisor.
In addition, I hope to use my financial knowledge and skills to give back to my community. My grandpa has always been a strong advocate for philanthropy and giving back, and I hope to follow in his footsteps. By building a strong financial foundation for myself, I will be better equipped to support charitable causes and make a positive impact on the world.
In conclusion, the financial advice I received from my grandpa to pay myself first and let my money work for me has been a guiding principle for my financial decisions. By prioritizing saving, investing, and being mindful of my spending, I have been able to build a strong financial foundation for myself and set myself up for future success. I am grateful for my grandpa's wisdom and guidance, and I plan to continue to apply his advice throughout my life. By making smart financial decisions and staying committed to my goals, I am confident that I will be able to achieve financial security and give back to my community.

Climate change is one of the most pressing issues of our time. It threatens the health and well-being of both humans and the planet. In my opinion, the most impactful way to combat climate change is through a combination of personal actions and political advocacy.
On a personal level, I strive to reduce my carbon footprint by making conscious decisions in my daily life. I believe that individual actions can make a significant impact on the environment, and so I try to do my part in reducing my own carbon emissions. For example, I choose to walk or bike instead of driving whenever possible, and I try to use public transportation when I can't. I also reduce my energy consumption by turning off lights and electronics when they're not in use, and I try to use energy-efficient appliances and light bulbs.
Another way I combat climate change is by reducing my consumption of animal products. Animal agriculture is one of the largest contributors to greenhouse gas emissions, so I choose to eat plant-based meals as much as possible. I also try to reduce my waste by composting and recycling.
While personal actions are important, they are not enough to combat climate change on their own. We need systemic change to address the root causes of climate change. That's why I believe that political advocacy is a critical way to combat climate change. We need to pressure our government leaders to take action to address climate change. This can include policies to reduce greenhouse gas emissions, transition to renewable energy sources, and invest in sustainable infrastructure.
I strive to fight climate change through political advocacy by participating in climate marches and contacting my elected representatives to express my support for climate action. I also try to stay informed on climate policy and advocate for policies that align with my values. Additionally, I support organizations that are working to address climate change, both through donations and volunteer work.
In conclusion, I believe that the most impactful way to combat climate change is through a combination of personal actions and political advocacy. While individual actions are important, they are not enough to address the scale of the problem. We need systemic change to transition to a sustainable future, and that requires political action. I will continue to strive to fight climate change in my personal life and through political advocacy, and I encourage others to do the same. Together, we can make a difference and ensure a livable future for generations to come.
@normandiealise #GenWealth Scholarship
Generational wealth is a concept that has been on my mind a lot lately. Growing up, I watched my parents work tirelessly to provide for our family, often sacrificing their own wants and need to ensure that my siblings and I had everything we needed. While I am grateful for the sacrifices they made, I don't want to have to make the same sacrifices for my own children. Instead, I want to create a legacy of wealth that can be passed down from generation to generation.
To me, generational wealth means having financial security and stability that can last for multiple generations. It means being able to pass down assets, investments, and businesses to my children and grandchildren so that they can build on what I have created and continue to grow our family's wealth. It means creating a foundation that my family can rely on, even if unexpected financial challenges arise.
So, how do I plan to achieve generational wealth in the future? First and foremost, I believe that education is key. I am currently pursuing a degree in finance, which will give me the knowledge and skills to make sound financial decisions and investments. I am also taking classes on entrepreneurship and business management so that I can eventually start my own business and create a source of passive income that can be passed down to future generations.
Another important step in building generational wealth is investing. I have already started investing in stocks, mutual funds, and real estate, and I plan to continue to do so in the future. I believe that a diversified investment portfolio is key to long-term financial success, and I plan to work with financial advisors to ensure that my investments are smart and strategic.
One thing that I am particularly passionate about is real estate investing. I believe that owning and managing rental properties is a great way to build wealth over time. Not only can rental income provide a steady stream of passive income, but real estate also tends to appreciate over time. My goal is to eventually own multiple rental properties, which can be passed down to my children and grandchildren.
Of course, building generational wealth is not just about accumulating assets and investments. It's also about creating a legacy of financial responsibility and stewardship. I believe that it is important to teach my children and grandchildren about the importance of financial management and planning. I want them to understand the value of hard work and saving, and to be responsible with the wealth that they inherit.
In conclusion, generational wealth is very important to me. I believe that it is possible to create a legacy of financial stability and security that can last for generations to come. By pursuing education, investing wisely, and teaching my family about financial responsibility, I am confident that I can achieve my goal of creating a foundation of wealth that can be passed down to future generations.

Elevate Women in Technology Scholarship
As someone who is planning to pursue a career in biomedical engineering and medicine, there is one technology that inspires me when it comes to making the world a better place: prosthetics.
Prosthetics are not a new technology, but they have come a long way in recent years, thanks to advancements in materials, design, and manufacturing. Prosthetics are artificial limbs or body parts that can be attached to a person's body to replace a missing or non-functioning body part. They can be customized to fit the individual's body and can be controlled through the use of electrodes.
What inspires me about prosthetics is the impact they can have on people's lives. Losing a limb or body part can be a traumatic and life-changing experience, but prosthetics can help individuals regain their independence, mobility, and confidence. With the help of prosthetics, people can return to work, participate in sports and other physical activities, and perform daily tasks that they may have thought were impossible.
The technology behind prosthetics is constantly evolving, and researchers are working to develop new and innovative designs that can improve functionality and comfort for the user. For example, some prosthetics now use sensors that allow the user to control the prosthetic using their thoughts, making the prosthetic feel more like a natural part of their body. Other prosthetics use advanced materials that can better mimic the movement and feel of real limbs.
Prosthetics are not just limited to replacing missing limbs or body parts, either. There are also prosthetics designed for individuals with hearing or vision loss, allowing them to regain some of their sensory abilities.
As someone passionate about the intersection of medicine and engineering, I am inspired by the potential that prosthetics have to improve people's lives. In my future career as a neurosurgeon, I hope to be able to work with individuals who have lost limbs or body parts and help them improve their quality of life through the use of prosthetics.
Also, the technology behind prosthetics relies on advancements in engineering, materials science, and computer science and requires input from medical professionals and the individuals who will use the prosthetics. This collaboration can lead to not only better prosthetic technology but also improved medical care and outcomes for patients.
I am excited to see how this technology will continue to evolve and how it will be used to help people in the future.

As someone fluent in three different languages, writing allows me to communicate in whichever language I feel most comfortable in. Whether it's Arabic, French, or English, I enjoy the freedom to express myself through different languages and writing styles.
My love for reading books has also played a significant role in my passion for writing. The more books I read, the more I become inspired to write my own stories, poems, and articles. I find that writing allows me to explore my creativity and imagination in a way that no other activity can.
While many people prefer to type their writing on a computer, I find the process of writing by hand on paper to be much more fulfilling. I love the sound of my pencil scratching against the paper and the feel of the paper beneath my fingers. Writing by hand allows me to slow down and truly connect with my thoughts, as opposed to the fast-paced nature of typing on a keyboard.
One of the biggest benefits of writing is the ability to reflect on my thoughts and emotions. When I write about my experiences, I can process and understand my feelings better. It's a way for me to sort out my thoughts and make sense of complex situations. Through writing, I have gained a deeper understanding of myself and the world around me.
Writing has also become a form of therapy for me. When I am feeling overwhelmed or stressed, I turn to my notebook and let my thoughts flow onto the page. Writing has a cathartic effect that allows me to release my emotions healthily. It's a way for me to cope with difficult situations and work through challenging emotions, especially as it allows me to go back to what I wrote and interpret my feelings at times of anger or pain so I can work on my emotions.
Overall, writing is an essential part of my life. It allows me to express myself in different languages, connect with my thoughts and emotions, and leave a lasting legacy. The act of writing by hand on paper is a cherished ritual that I enjoy and look forward to every day. Writing has become a tool for me to explore my creativity and imagination, and I will continue to use it to grow and evolve as a person.

On December 31st, 2021, my world was turned upside down. It was supposed to be a day of celebration and new beginnings, but instead, it was a day of devastating loss. My grandmother and uncle, two of the most important people in my life, both passed away on the very same day, just 15 minutes apart. The pain and grief were overwhelming, and it felt like my world had shattered into a million pieces. But as I tried to make sense of the tragedy and the impact it would have on my life, I realized that their passing had given me a renewed sense of purpose and clarity.
Amid my grief, I began to focus on what truly mattered in my life. I realized that I had been allowing the difficulties of my past to hold me back from pursuing my dreams and achieving my goals. I had been living as a spectator in my own life, waiting for someone else to save me, instead of taking control and becoming my superhero. But the loss of my loved ones made me realize that my life was too precious to waste on self-pity and despair. I had a purpose and a destiny, and it was up to me to fulfill it.
With this renewed sense of purpose, I decided to leave everything behind and pursue my dreams. I left my mother, my school, my friends, and my country to start building the life I had always desired. I know that there will be challenges and setbacks along the way, but I am determined to keep fighting until I achieve my goals.
The loss of my loved ones has given me a new sense of purpose and determination. I am committed to pursuing my dreams and achieving my goals, no matter what obstacles come my way. Financial Hygiene Scholarship
As someone who values financial literacy and its importance, I plan to educate myself and others on the topic in a few different ways.
First and foremost, I believe that reading non-fiction books about financial success are a great way to gain knowledge and insight into the subject. There are countless books out there that cover various aspects of personal finance, from budgeting and saving to investing and entrepreneurship. By reading these books, I can learn from the experiences and expertise of others who have achieved financial success, and I can apply those lessons to my own life.
In addition to reading, I also plan to save money and practice self-control. Saving money is a crucial aspect of financial literacy, and it requires discipline and self-control. By making a conscious effort to save a portion of my income each month, I can build up a savings account and set myself up for long-term financial stability. And by training myself to resist the temptation to spend money impulsively, I can avoid the pitfalls of debt and overspending.
When it comes to educating others about financial literacy, I believe that leading by example is a powerful way to make a difference. By practicing what I preach and demonstrating good financial habits, I can inspire others to do the same. I can share my experiences and knowledge with friends and family, and encourage them to read financial books and save money as well.
I also believe that it's important to create opportunities for others to learn about financial literacy in a more formal setting. This might involve organizing a workshop or seminar, inviting a financial expert to speak, or partnering with a local community organization to provide financial education resources. By making financial literacy education more accessible and engaging, we can help more people build the skills and knowledge they need to achieve financial success.
Finally, I think it's important to recognize that financial literacy is not just about personal finance - it's also about understanding how money and finance work on a larger scale. This includes knowledge of financial systems, the stock market, and the economy as a whole. By staying informed about current events and reading about economic trends, I can deepen my understanding of financial concepts and stay up-to-date on developments in the field.
In conclusion, becoming financially literate is a process that requires ongoing learning and practice. By reading financial books, saving money, and practicing self-control, I can improve my financial literacy and set a positive example for others. And by creating opportunities for others to learn about financial literacy, both informally and through more formal education, we can help more people build the skills and knowledge they need to achieve financial success.

This not only reduces my carbon footprint but also saves me money on gas and parking fees. Additionally, I make sure to turn off lights and electronics when I'm not using them, as this can help to reduce my energy usage and save resources.
Another way that I strive to live sustainably is by reducing my waste. This includes things like recycling, composting, and reducing the amount of single-use plastics that I use. For example, I bring a reusable water bottle and coffee cup with me when I leave the house, and I use reusable grocery bags instead of disposable plastic bags. This not only helps to reduce my waste but also saves me money in the long run.
In addition to reducing my carbon footprint and waste, I also make an effort to purchase sustainable products. This includes things like clothing made from organic or recycled materials, and household items like cleaning supplies and toiletries that are made from environmentally friendly ingredients. As a student, managing finances is crucial for several reasons. Firstly, we, students, often have limited income, whether from part-time jobs, allowances, or scholarships. This means that every penny counts and it is essential to budget and prioritizes spending to ensure that money is available for essentials like food, rent, and textbooks. Secondly, managing finances helps to build good habits and prepare for the future. Students who can manage their money effectively are more likely to be able to handle their finances as they enter the workforce and start earning full-time salaries.
To manage my finances well, I have taken several steps. Firstly, I create a budget and stick to it. This involves tracking my income and expenses and making sure that I am not spending more than I earn. To do this, I use a budgeting app that helps me keep track of my spending and set financial goals. Secondly, I prioritize my spending. I make sure to cover essentials like rent, food, and utilities before indulging in non-essential expenses like eating out or buying clothes. Thirdly, I look for ways to reduce my expenses. This can include things like buying used textbooks, cooking meals at home, and taking advantage of student discounts.
Another important aspect of managing finances as a student is saving. I make sure to set aside a portion of my income each month for emergencies, unexpected expenses, and long-term goals like a down payment on a house or retirement. To help me save, I have set up automatic transfers from my checking account to my savings account each month. This helps me to save consistently and reach my financial goals more quickly.
Finally, I have taken steps to educate myself about personal finance. This includes reading books and articles, attending seminars, and speaking with financial advisors. This has helped me to understand the basics of budgeting, saving, and investing, and has given me the tools and knowledge I need to make informed financial decisions.
In conclusion, managing finances is important for students for several reasons, including the need to live within their means, build good habits, and prepare for the future. To manage my finances well, I have created a budget, prioritized my spending, reduced my expenses, saved regularly, and educated myself about personal finance. By doing these things, I am taking control of my finances and setting myself up for success in the future.

Despite these difficulties, I was determined to succeed in my academics and was proud to be a student in the pioneer school in Sfax, where I was one of the few students who earned a first-class honors grade in the national competition.
During my senior year of high school, I realized that my desire to pursue my dreams and make a better life for myself outweighed my attachment to my home country and the people I loved. So, I made the difficult decision to leave Tunisia and move to the United States to live with my father after 13 years apart. I promised myself that I would no longer be a victim of my past and instead, I would be my superhero, determined to build the life I've always wanted.
I discovered my true identity and purpose and chose to pursue my education and goals. I am passionate about combining my interests in medicine and engineering and I believe that a major in biomedical engineering is the best path for me to achieve my goal of becoming a brain surgeon. I am committed to making a positive impact on the healthcare system and the individuals I serve.
As a future biomedical engineer and brain surgeon, I plan to use my education and skills to improve the healthcare system and make it more accessible to those in need. I am dedicated to doing research and inventing treatments that utilize technology to provide advanced care to those who need it most. I am determined to help build hospitals and provide access to advanced treatments to people living in rural areas, who may not have access to such resources. I am confident that I will make a difference in the lives of those I serve and contribute to a better future for the healthcare system.
In conclusion, I am grateful for the opportunity to pursue my education and achieve my goals. I am determined to make a positive impact on my community and the world, and I am confident that I have the skills and determination to succeed. I look forward to the challenges and opportunities that lie ahead, and I am excited to see the difference I will make in the lives of others.

Eleven Scholarship
Growing up in Tunisia, I was shaped by the diverse culture of my country and felt a strong responsibility to represent it to the best of my ability. However, by the summer before my senior year, I was faced with a difficult decision. I had to choose between staying with my mother, with whom I had a close bond, or moving to the USA to live with my father after 13 years of separation.
Making this decision was not easy. I was torn between my love for my mother and the desire to pursue my dreams and face the real world. But the urge to follow my heart and live the life I truly deserved was stronger, so I decided to move to the USA. This was not without challenges, however.
As a child of divorced parents, I experienced a lot of pain and suffering. My father abandoned us when I was young and traveled abroad, only to remarry and start a new family. Meanwhile, my mother was left to raise my brother and me, struggling with the prejudices of our Tunisian society as a divorced lady. Despite these challenges, I learned to be self-sufficient and take care of my mother, who was often busy and sick.
To cope with the difficulties in my life, I found solace in music and books. I played guitar, which was a source of comfort for me, and read a variety of books, including self-help books, which helped me with my personal development and relationships with others. I also learned time management and attended self-development seminars to recharge when I was feeling down.
Through these techniques, I was able to turn my challenges into a source of strength. I used my mother's suffering as motivation to study harder and make her proud. And I succeeded, earning a spot in the pioneer high school in Tunisia.
When I moved to the USA, I continued to apply these strategies and skills to overcome the obstacles between me and my goals. I used my passion for music and self-development to keep me motivated and focused on my objectives. And through hard work and determination, I was able to achieve great things and represent my country and community with pride.
In conclusion, my experience growing up in Tunisia and moving to the USA taught me the importance of resilience and perseverance. Despite the hardships I faced, I was able to overcome them by relying on my passions, skills, and techniques. And through this experience, I learned that anything is possible with hard work and determination.

Growing up in Tunisia, a culturally diverse country, shaped my identity and personal growth. I am proud to be Tunisian and feel a strong responsibility to represent my country and community to the best of my ability.
I faced many challenges that made me mature and autonomous: I was dealing with Divorced parents, a father who abandoned us, being left with my mother, who became a divorced lady suffering from the prejudices of our Tunisian society, a single mother with two children to raise, and eventually half-blind because of a rare illness that got her eye. Despite my young age, I needed to be self-sufficient, and I had to learn how to cook, go shopping, and do the housework. All of this is to ensure that my mom never feels bad for not being able to do these things. I was also successful in my academics as I was a student in the pioneer school in Sfax, which only got those who get a first-class honors grade in the national competition.
During my senior year summer, with the teachers, and ministry of the education crisis, I couldn’t do it any longer... Every day, that eager desire to pursue the life I truly deserve, to face the real world, haunted me. So I put a stone on my heart and made the decision to leave my country and move to the USA to start a new life, living with my father after 13 years apart. The thought of leaving was overwhelming, but I realized that focusing solely on my loved ones would mean neglecting myself. I finally understood that my life matters, I won’t deprive myself of succeeding in my education and life because of the toughness in my past, I don't exist to be a spectator in life or to wait for a superhero to save me; I exist to be my superhero and I'll no longer be a victim of what happened; I'll be the one to pull myself out of the messed-up past that I'll never forget but will use to create my present. Now, I've left my mother, my school, my friends, and my country to start building the life I've always desired, and I've promised myself that I'll achieve my goals because I AM worth it.
I discovered my true identity and purpose and chose to pursue my education and goals. I desire to become a brain surgeon and I chose biomedical engineering as a major since I am passionate about combining my interests in medicine and engineering to make a positive impact on the healthcare system. I am determined to achieve my goals and am confident that I will succeed in my education and future career and make a difference in the lives of those I serve.
I desire to become a brain surgeon and since I am interested in both medicine and engineering, a major in biomedical engineering is the best for me. I’m so excited by this field because it combines principles from engineering and biology to create solutions to healthcare and medical problems. As a future physician, I am committed to making a positive impact on the healthcare system and the individuals I serve. I promise that I will devote my time to doing research and inventing treatments for using technology. I will build hospitals and help people in rural regions get access to advanced treatments. I promise I will create a better future for the healthcare system.

Taking care of my mother at the age of 11 when she was diagnosed with a rare amoeba in her eye was one incident that had a very deep influence on my outlook on medicine. I took over as her primary caregiver, providing her meds and researching how to manage her disease. If anything occurred, I would call her doctor, and I would stay up all night to give her her medications, especially since she needed to take them every hour. This experience not only provided me with a thorough grasp of the chemical composition of many medications as well as the complexities of treating her unusual condition, but it also ingrained in me a strong desire to help others.
Even though my mother recovered from the disease, her nerves grew too frail to be treated and she lost her capacity to see with her right eye. But I've never given up hope that one day I'll find a solution that will allow her to see with her right eye again.
I have already left my native country and my previous way of life to pursue higher education in the United States, and I am completely committed to my studies and future profession as a physician. I am also prepared to conduct thorough studies and investigate new medical solutions, particularly for uncommon disorders with no clear-cut therapies. Furthermore, my concentration in biomedical engineering will provide me with a unique viewpoint and understanding of technology, which I intend to employ to serve my patients and advance healthcare.
In addition, I am sincerely committed to using my abilities and experience to assist my native nation and other underprivileged areas across the world. I've seen many people suffer from a lack of access to medical treatments and supplies, and I'm determined to do everything I can to provide them with the care and assistance they require. I am devoted to making a good influence on the lives of as many people as possible. As a future doctor, I think I must use my skills and abilities to serve others and make the world a better place to the best of my ability.

I was the president of the social work commission at Leo Club Sfax El Bay in Tunisia and I was in charge of planning philanthropic activities to assist the families in my community that are in need. I was mentoring 40 people on how to establish our objective and achieve it in the time provided, assessing our budget based on our goal and preparing sponsorship contracts, contacting companies that may donate, and arranging money-making events to assist us to realize our target. We performed several activities in which we delivered school materials, food, winter clothes, and blankets to over 250 underprivileged families. I won't claim I wasn't desperate or fatigued, especially with exam periods and the pressures of high school, but when I saw those people's smiles, I forgot about everything and felt only pride in my team's work with devoted hearts and connection to the community. During my term, I made several mistakes and learned a lot from this experience, which enhanced my social life. I moved from being a timid girl to becoming a spokesperson of an organization, speaking with CEOs of companies and explaining my strategies to help people. It taught me how to be patient with the team members, how to find solutions when my plans didn't work, and most importantly, how to manage my time as a student and a Club representative. I'm extremely glad for this chance and hope to have similar experiences throughout my college years.
My ambition is to become a brain surgeon, and I picked biomedical engineering as a major because I am excited about integrating my skills in medicine and engineering to improve the healthcare system. I am determined to achieve my goals and am confident that I will succeed in my education and future career and make a difference in the lives of those I serve. Now that I left my home country and mother to study in the United States, I am fully devoted to achieving my goals and making a positive impact on the world. I will make sure to pay the world back for ensuring a successful path for me to study and work and I will do my best to help everyone to the best of my ability. I will work on research and discover treatments by using technology, I will build hospitals in rural places and help people get access to the developed treatments, and I will create a better future for the healthcare system.

Healthy Eating Scholarship
Having healthy eating habits is an essential aspect of maintaining overall health and well-being. Our diets play a significant role in providing us with the necessary nutrients and energy that our bodies require to function at their best. In today's fast-paced world, it can be tempting to resort to convenient, unhealthy options, but making the effort to adopt healthy eating habits has a range of physical and mental benefits.
From a physical perspective, consuming a well-balanced diet that includes a variety of fruits, vegetables, whole grains, and lean protein sources can help reduce the risk of chronic health conditions such as heart disease, stroke, and diabetes. These foods provide the vitamins, minerals, and nutrients necessary for our bodies to function properly and stay healthy. Additionally, consuming a diet rich in fiber can help regulate digestion, reduce the risk of developing certain types of cancer, and improve overall cardiovascular health.

For example, foods high in omega-3 fatty acids, such as salmon and walnuts, have been shown to have a positive effect on mood and mental clarity. On the other hand, consuming unhealthy foods high in sugar and unhealthy fats can lead to mood swings, fatigue, and decreased mental clarity. This is because these foods can cause rapid spikes in blood sugar levels, leading to feelings of irritability and fatigue.
I have personally noticed the difference that healthy eating habits make in my own physical and mental health. When I make an effort to consume a balanced and nutritious diet, I have more energy and feel more alert throughout the day. I also feel less prone to mood swings and am better able to handle stress.
Furthermore, eating healthy has helped me maintain a healthy weight, reduced my risk of developing chronic health conditions, and given me the necessary nutrients to stay healthy. I have also noticed an improvement in my overall quality of life, as I feel physically and mentally stronger, and more capable of achieving my goals.
Adopting healthy eating habits requires effort and commitment, but the benefits are well worth it. To get started, it's important to educate yourself on the types of foods that are essential for a balanced diet and to make a plan for incorporating these foods into your daily routine. This may mean taking the time to plan and prepare meals in advance or making healthier food choices when eating out. It's also important to be mindful of portion sizes and to limit the consumption of unhealthy foods, such as sugary drinks and junk food.
In conclusion, healthy eating habits are crucial for both physical and mental well-being. By consuming a balanced and nutritious diet, we can reduce the risk of chronic health conditions, boost our mood and mental clarity, and improve our overall quality of life. I highly recommend incorporating healthy eating habits into one's daily routine, as the benefits are undeniable.

Growing up in Tunisia, a culturally diverse country, shaped my identity and personal growth. I am proud to be Tunisian and feel a strong responsibility to represent my country and community to the best of my ability. I dealt with divorced parents, a father who abandoned us, Beijing left with my mother, who became a divorced lady suffering from the prejudices of our Tunisian culture, a single mother with two children to raise, and later half-blind due to a rare illness that took her eye. Despite my young age, I needed to be self-sufficient, so I learned to cook, shop, and perform housework. All of this is to guarantee that my mother never feels bad about her inability to accomplish these things. All these challenges only made me mature and autonomous. I was also academically successful since I attended the pioneer school in Sfax, which only accepted students who received a first-class honors grade in the national competition.
Since the revolution, the educational system in Tunisia was suffering from strikes and abuse of students’ rights. During my senior year summer, with the teachers, and the ministry of the education crisis, I couldn’t do it any longer... Every day, that eager desire to pursue the life I truly deserve, to face the real world, haunted me. So I put a stone on my heart and made the decision to leave my country and move to the United States to start a new life, living with my father after 13 years apart. The thought of leaving was overwhelming, but I realized that focusing solely on my loved ones would mean abandoning myself. I finally realized that my life counts; I will not deny myself the opportunity to excel in my school and life because of my hardness in the past; I do not exist to be a spectator in life.I don't exist to be a spectator in life or to wait for a superhero to save me; I exist to be my own superhero, and I'll be the one to pull myself out of the messed-up past that I'll never forget but will use to create my present. Now that I've left my mother, my school, my friends, and my country, I am fully devoted to building the life I've always desired, and I've promised myself that I'll achieve my goals because I AM worth it.
I discovered my actual identity and purpose and decided to pursue my studies and ambitions.

My major will be biomedical engineering as it combines principles from medicine and engineering to provide solutions to healthcare and medical problems. I am passionate about pursuing this field as it allows me to use my engineering and problem-solving skills to make a positive impact on people's lives and fulfill my ambition of becoming a brain surgeon.
My uncle, who is a doctor in Canada inspired me to pursue this career. I have had the opportunity to have in-depth conversations with him as he has shared his knowledge of the most recent discoveries in medicine with me. This has increased my understanding of the field and my passion for learning.
Seeking higher education is crucial for me in achieving my goal of becoming a brain surgeon. I am sincerely committed to using my education and skills to assist my native nation, Tunisia and other underprivileged areas across the world. I believe it is my duty as a future physician to serve those in need and improve the state of healthcare. With my degree, I aspire to provide medical care and assistance to people in disadvantaged communities around the world. Healthcare is a constantly evolving field, and I am determined to stay informed and use my knowledge to make a difference in the world.
While I was living in Tunisia, I was the president of the social work commission at Leo Club Sfax El Bay and I was in charge of planning philanthropic activities to assist the families in my community that are in need. I'm extremely glad for this chance and hope to have similar experiences during my college years.
Being a Muslim is a core aspect of my identity and belief system. It means living with compassion and striving to do good in the world and representing the values and principles of Islam in the best way possible. As a Muslim living in the US, I understand that there may be misconceptions and prejudice toward my religion, and I see it as a personal responsibility to challenge these negative stereotypes and show others the true nature of Islam through my actions and behavior. To me, being a Muslim means being a source of hope, positivity, and kindness in a world that often lacks these things.
