Lost Dreams Awaken Scholarship
As a struggling college student, recovery signifies overcoming challenges to find a way out of tough situations. It conveys getting back on track after numerous setbacks, seeking help when needed, and taking accountability for mistakes made along the way. It indicates resilience and perseverance and striving to be the best version of oneself even when things get demandingly intense. Unfortunately, life does get more challenging, especially if you're a college student.
Alongside the previous definitions, the term 'recovery' is incredibly versatile and can be expanded onto other matters, like personal growth and well-being, which includes overcoming mental health struggles; that may occur from basic day-to-day tasks. However, recovery can also mean taking a well-deserved break; sleeping, binge-watching Stranger Things, etc. Nevertheless, it's important to remember that throughout recovery, no matter the definition presented, being healthy and satisfied is crucial.

Minority Students x Stem Scholarship
Google is a product that has influenced me to take a deeper dive into technology within the space. However, one way that computer science students can impact the tech industry is by developing new technologies or applications that address important societal needs. For example, they could work on projects that aim to improve healthcare, education, environmental sustainability, or social justice. These types of projects have the potential to make a significant and lasting impact on the world, and they can be incredibly rewarding for the individuals who work on them.
Another way to make a difference in the tech industry is to focus on improving the accessibility and usability of existing technologies. This can involve designing technologies with an eye towards making them more user-friendly and intuitive, or developing tools and resources that make it easier for people with disabilities to use them. By making technology more accessible, we can help to ensure that its benefits are more widely shared and that everyone has the opportunity to participate in the digital economy.
A third way that computer science students can impact the tech industry is by advocating for policies and practices that promote responsible and ethical use of technology. This could involve working with organizations that are focused on issues like online privacy, cybersecurity, or internet freedom, or participating in efforts to promote transparency and accountability within the tech industry. By speaking out and taking action on these issues, students can help to shape the direction of the tech industry and ensure that it is aligned with broader social and moral values.
Now, turning to the question of whether the tech industry has a social and moral obligation to be inclusive to all consumers, I would argue that the answer is clearly yes. Technology plays a central role in many aspects of our lives, and it is important that it is accessible and usable by everyone, regardless of their background or circumstances. This means that tech companies and developers should be conscious of the needs and perspectives of diverse user groups and strive to create products and services that are inclusive and equitable.
There are several reasons why inclusivity is important in the tech industry. First, it helps to ensure that the benefits of technology are more widely shared. If certain groups are excluded or disadvantaged by technology, they may be unable to fully participate in the digital economy or access the same opportunities as others. This can lead to increased inequality and social division.
Second, inclusivity is important because it can lead to better and more innovative products and services. By considering the needs and perspectives of diverse user groups, tech companies and developers can create products that are more relevant and useful to a wider range of people. This can drive innovation and help the tech industry to better serve the needs of society.
Finally, inclusivity is important because it is the right thing to do. As members of society, we have a moral obligation to ensure that everyone has the opportunity to participate fully and benefit from the things that we create. This includes technology, which plays such a central role in our lives. By striving for inclusivity in the tech industry, we can help to create a more fair and equitable world for everyone.

This can involve speaking out about the importance of these issues, participating in grassroots organizing efforts, and working with elected officials and other leaders to promote policies that support these goals.
Finally, I plan to continue learning about and staying informed about the challenges and issues facing my community and the world at large. This can involve staying up-to-date on current events, reading and researching about relevant topics, and engaging in dialogue with others who are also committed to making a positive impact in their communities.
Overall, I believe that community service and disaster relief are critical for building strong, vibrant, and healthy communities. I am committed to doing my part to contribute to these efforts and to making a positive difference in the world.

As a blood donor and helper at food banks, I am inspired to get involved in my community for several reasons. Firstly, I believe that it is important to give back to the community and help those in need. I have been fortunate enough to have a stable life with access to resources such as education, healthcare, and food, and I feel a sense of responsibility to use my privilege to make a positive impact on others.
In addition, I find personal fulfillment in volunteering and helping others. There is a sense of satisfaction and purpose that comes from knowing that I am making a difference in someone's life, no matter how small.
One of the ways that I have worked to influence change in my community is by donating blood regularly. Blood donations are essential for saving lives and are used to treat a variety of medical conditions, including cancer, traumatic injuries, and surgical procedures. By donating blood, I'm able to make a tangible difference in the lives of others and potentially save a life.
I have also worked to influence change in my community by volunteering at food banks. Food insecurity is a significant issue in many communities, and food banks provide a vital service by providing food assistance to those in need. As a volunteer at a food bank, I have had the opportunity to help sort and distribute food to those who are struggling to put meals on the table. This has been a rewarding experience, as I have been able to see firsthand the positive impact that the food bank has on the community.
In addition to volunteering, I have also worked to raise awareness about the importance of blood donations and food assistance programs in my community. I have shared information about these initiatives on social media and have encouraged others to get involved and make a difference.
Furthermore, volunteering can also be a great way to meet new people and make connections within the community. By working together with others towards a common goal, we can build relationships and create a sense of community. This can be especially important for those who may be feeling isolated or disconnected.
Overall, my involvement in my community as a blood donor and helper at food banks has been incredibly rewarding. It has allowed me to give back to those in need and make a positive impact on my community. I believe that it is important for all of us to do our part to help those in need and create a better world for everyone.

New Year, New Opportunity Scholarship
Hello, I'm James and I was born in a hospital in Newark, New Jersey. From an early age I loved subjects like engineering, science, and mathematic. My typical days consisted of me terrorizing my family by breaking down objects like a remote control or radio; which I then study the insides like a ravage zombie. After this, I finally end my act by trying to put the parts back together... more then I would like to admit, the object wouldn't work anymore. However, I would like to believe that my terrorizing wasn't in vain, since I graduated with honors within my public high school.
BJB Scholarship
In my opinion, a community is more than just a group of people living in a particular area. A community is a group of people we can rely upon; our family, friends, and neighbors. Currently, I'm giving back to my community by volunteering at my University's food bank, donating blood to my local hospital, and shoveling snow off sidewalks and driveways. Every other Saturday, Kean University holds a food bank where anyone can come and pick up some food. During most of these days, I'll volunteer my time to pass the food out, and usually, it'll take two hours for the event to finish. Onto the time I donated blood, it was unplanned and I did it just cause. Typically, these blood banks occur once per month at my college. Anyhow, the process was quite simple, I showed up at the place, answered a couple of questions about my blood, my blood was then taken which took about 10-15 minutes altogether, sat for a couple of minutes, passed out, woke up and then left about 10 minutes after that. Even though I did pass out, I would always do it again to help someone else in need. Shoveling, on the other hand, wasn't that eventful but was surely appreciated by my neighbors and people who usually walk on that sidewalk.
Hey, my name is James and I'm currently majoring in Computer Science at Kean University. Recently, I've became a finalist and scholar of the National Cyber Scholarship Foundation competition, where fellow students competed against each other in a multitude of stages consisting of challenges relating to technology. However, if it wasn't for my love for technology, programming, and engineering I wouldn't have even been in that situation to win. Now, I'm looking to take the knowledge from that competition and use it to help me with my classes and future opportunities. Therefore, my personal future goal consists of landing an internship while in my sophomore year of University (next semester), getting a career in programming or a field technology-related, becoming financially stable to the point where I can assist other people in need, and traveling the world. But my overall vision for the future would be a world that can rely on technological advances to help create treatments and cures for diseases that are currently incurable. Additionally, it would be nice for the issue of housing for homeless people/people in need to be solved and efficiently fixed.
Bold Technology Matters Scholarship
Even though this technology has been out for a while, I'm quite excited for augmented reality future updates. At the current moment, augmented reality is already making huge moves in the consumer and technology market with the release of the Oculus Quest 2, now known as the Meta Quest 2. I may be slightly biased since I own this device, but the current features are incredible. One of these features includes the ability to see your surroundings while doing another task, and in this case, let's say watching the movie Mr. Robot. Now, many may think this would take a toll on the device, or somehow make the device run to a noticeably slower pass, however, it's just as smooth as normal. Remember, this is only just the current features though, and apparently, instead of just viewing your real-life surroundings alongside a decent AR interface, there could be a case where you could simulate an entire house in AR while also viewing your real-life surrounding.
The possibilities are endless with future updates and adaptations of AR. Could make a huge impact within construction sites by making them more efficient and safer to a certain due to the ability to see the building up to scale, while viewing the real world and seeing how the environment would look around it. Another possibility would be the medical field in which AR could be used to help show the doctor and or nurse where exactly a patient's vein is located, in case it's either hidden or damaged from previous drug use. The lives this seemingly insignificant feature would be able to save is astonishing and better yet, is becoming reality as the days go on. Therefore, even though augmented reality isn't technically a new technology, the new improvements along with the recent adaptions are indeed something to write about.
