Bio

I'm a 17-year-old incoming freshman at Moravian University (Fall 2025), where I'll be majoring in Health Science on a Pre-Physical Therapy track. My ultimate goal is to earn my Doctor of Physical Therapy (DPT) degree. Sports have always been a huge part of my life, and I've been passionate about athletics from a young age. While I spent many years playing football, my main focus right now is Track and Field, where I compete as a javelin thrower with a personal record of 165-10. I'm committed to maintaining a high GPA and putting in the hard work both academically and athletically. Outside of school and sports, I enjoy spending time with my family and friends, who keep me grounded and motivated.

The journey to becoming an athlete isn’t always linear or predictable. Sometimes it begins with one passion, only to evolve into something new and unexpected. My athletic journey started with football, a sport that once ignited my competitive fire. But after injuries and a dwindling love for the game, I found my true calling in javelin. The transition wasn’t immediate or easy, but it was one of the most pivotal moments of my life. Through javelin, I discovered not just a sport but a pathway to self-discovery and a powerful tool to inspire others. Javelin wasn’t a natural fit at first. I wasn’t good at it, but what captivated me wasn't immediate success—it was the process. There’s something magical about launching a spear-like object through the air, the precision, the technique, the anticipation, and the collective moment of watching it soar. It became an addiction. I began to crave it. As I trained, I noticed how my skills improved. I threw harder, farther, and with greater control. My confidence grew with every practice, and the excitement of each season turned into an irresistible force. It was no longer just about throwing a javelin; it became about pushing myself beyond what I thought was possible, about embracing the grind, the triumphs, and the failures. Throwing the javelin, for me, became a spiritual experience. With every step down the runway, I felt like I was releasing all my hopes, dreams, and efforts into the air. The moment the javelin left my hand was always a rush, a sense of freedom and focus that transcended the physical act. It was an art, a performance, a release of everything I had worked so hard for. And then the feeling of knowing whether I had reached a new personal best or not—the anticipation, the butterflies in my stomach—was indescribable. As I honed my skills, I began to reflect on how this journey shaped me beyond the physical. The discipline of javelin taught me patience. It taught me that success doesn’t come overnight and that failure isn’t an endpoint but rather a stepping stone. Every missed throw, every setback, became a lesson in resilience. The sport also taught me how to focus, to channel my energy into one singular purpose, and to find joy in the process, not just the result. These lessons were not limited to the track. They seeped into my academic pursuits, personal relationships, and even the way I approached challenges in life. The most profound impact of my athletic journey is the potential I see to inspire others. My story isn’t just about throwing a javelin; it’s about embracing challenges, persevering through adversity, and discovering strength when you least expect it. I want to share that with others. I want them to know that it’s okay to start from scratch, to fail, and to struggle because those are the moments that shape us. The principles I’ve learned through javelin—dedication, persistence, and passion—are universal. I can make an impact by sharing my journey with others, encouraging them to pursue their passions, to stay committed even when it feels difficult. I want to show them that the process is just as important as the outcome. My journey symbolizes the strength of perseverance and the unity that can come from pushing ourselves and inspiring others along the way. It’s about knowing that we all have the ability to rise above, and by doing so, we can inspire others to reach their own heights.
