My life goals is to become a police officer to help others, live a nice, healthy comfortable life and have a family. I love baseball and started when I was 4. I then when onto play travel from the ages of 7-16 and little league from 5-12 and now Varsity HS.
My parents are divorced. They separated 7 years ago and I live with my Mom and Sister. We see my Dad ever Wednesday and every other weekend. My Mom is one of the strongest people I know. She works 3 jobs to support us and went back to school to get another associates degree in marketing in fashion, but she works as an Executive Assistant at a construction company. She also received her Real Estate license a few years ago. She doesn't have time for it though because of her 9-5 job and her weekend jobs waitressing and working in a deli. She has inspired me beyond words. I hope to be awarded this scholarship to help with the finances associated with college.

She however will not give up her license because it was something she worked hard to get after their separation. She has inspired me beyond words. There are times where I may want something new that may be a little out of my moms budget and she asks me can you wait to till i get paid? She always puts us first and will get us what we want before herself. She also has explained to me there are the things that I may want but is that want a necessity or just something I want because my friends have or if it's the latest fad. I always think about that when I want to purchase something with my own money. I am in no means furgle, I do spend when I have but I will think about it a little bit before I purchase something.
I have been working at my current job, bounce, a children's play place, for a year and a half. I saved a lot of money but during baseball season I couldn't work so I spent a lot as well. That was hard seeing, my savings deplete. Plus I got a used car when I turned 16 and my parents told me I had to contribute to the purchase of my car. I think that was the first real big experience in learning about financial responsibilities. With that said I know my college education is going to be expensive so I am seeking all avenues for scholarships and grants. I will be paying a lot of it on my own and that is a very scary thing to think about
My parents and my grandfather have taught me that if you work hard for something anything is possible.
