Bio

I am passionate in psychology, I want to use my education and knowledge to help people how are struggling or are in dangerous situations. My goal is to be a FBI psychological profiler in the BAU( behavioral analysis unit). I want this job to help find criminals and take them off the streets to make this world just a little bit safer, and to help the family’s involved or affected by the criminals crimes to get closure. I also hope to make the field of law enforcement be more diverse to members of the LGBTQ+ community, me being in this field would hopefully be inspiring for other to take a path into working in a similar field as me. I wish for them that they could have that goal and be confident in it, and feel that they have a reason chance of getting a job in field.

    Fallen "Freaks" Scholarship
I am going for a bachelor degree in psychology to get into the career of criminal profiling. I have wanted to be a profiler since my 8th grade year in middle school. In middle school to present day I have always been passionate about the psychology of criminals and what causes them to react more violently then regular everyday citizens, another thing about that intrigues me is the way they think, it is that most the time they have no reasoning to why they do such violent acts or why they might even enjoy it. I have a curious mind and always have since I was young. I want to know what makes people like this tick, is something actually “wrong” with them or is it something they were just born with? The differences in cases and how these criminals get away with it or get caught adds another layer of thought provoking ideas of how to do better in the future to catch them, and the best methods to use in catching them. I first learned about this possible being a career opportunity for me after I watched the show ‘Criminal Minds’. Most people I know don’t have a stomach to handle the macabre, let alone a curiosity for it like I do; being known as strange to most people I thought that I might as well use that strangeness for something. This career path is helpful to my community and my boredom as well, I like having new to learn or a code to solve so unraveling psychology of people with uncommon ideologies just is another challenge for me, I know the risks a career like this can take on a person’s mental health which I am aware of and am sure if something taking a turn I will find the right help. I had been studying psychology outta intrigue, but originally it was to understand my own mind, as a kid with autism I didn’t understand the people around me and they didn’t understand me, so it was hard to make friends or interact “correctly,” so that’s how I started my path into this career and coming to apply to this scholarship. I hope I can make good use of this scholarship and put it towards helping keep my community safe from future dangerous threats they may come, rather then my personal interests I do want this career to help keep men, women, and children safe from the scary things I know lurk in the world along with the crimes they will commit on the un-expecting innocents. I want to stop as much tragedies form happening as I can, however I can. We need level tragedy in the world and that’s why I want to be there to help fix it.

I hope to help people in my community through my art. My goal is to be a forensic artist so I can help the victims of crimes find closure anyway possible. If I can help find a kidnapped child with my art, dead or alive so be it. If I can help find a monstrous human being with a description and some art supplies then I know that I’d be making a difference with my talent. People express so many things through art work, whether that’s a good feeling like joy or a darker feeling like grief; Some emotions I’ve drawn I thought looked cathartically beautiful. I’ve used a bunch of different things from calligraphy ink to the standard color pencils you can get to make art. I’ve Been using and working to upgrade my skill in art since I was only 4 years old. I dream of doing big things and being known for something good in a world full of tragedies that I’ve seen at seventeen years old. I’ve had artistic friends that make beautiful art, but they also struggle with mentally illness and/or childhood trama, art helps in many different ways. How you use it can give off a bigger chance to the community around you. Art therapy, murals, and volunteer opportunities related to art can all make a huge difference if your intent for it is for good. For these reasons I also have started doing digital art and learning how to draw different facial features as well as usage of color for different moods I want to come through my art. I draw different ethnicities and cultures as much as I draw different body portions that is not drawn enough in media. A character that have inspired my art is Eddie Munson from Stranger Things. He has a scary look to the people who don’t accept him and a loyal heart of gold to the people who do. People like him is why I do my art, to help misunderstood or downtrodden people have a place to feel that they belong. Some of the art I’ve made are each photos I’ve drawn and give to my friends that have a hard time feeling beautiful or good enough, so I hope I did enough at the end of the day to help someone who is down cause we’ve all been there once. If I could start my own charity then I’d make one that’s mission is to spread awareness of ministry groups how need help in everyday life in the world we live in. The services I would have volunteer sign up for could range from art based things like helping paint a house that needs it or a public mural to normal community services like giving food and clothes to people how need it or teaching them how to make useful items out of everyday things that are wasted. I’d also like the charity to help uplift rights activists for community’s that have trouble having basic human rights and have had a continuous fight for them over many generations.

    LGBTQ+ Wellness in Action Scholarship
The reason my mental and physical health is so important to me is because at the end of the day that’s all you have. I am a LGBTQ + student myself, I am a trans man. That is not the only thing I am though and that’s what people forget a lot. I am as a artist, I am a older brother, and I’m a friend to people who need it. When I meet someone my appearance makes them question what gender I am immediately and when I said I’m a boy they think I’m joking or am just insane. I know I’m not insane because I’ve seen what being insane is. I’ve struggled with my sanity and mental health since I was a child. I was diagnosed with autism and never knew that I was different as a kid, I thought the kids just hated me for some unknown reason. I had no idea that they didn’t understand me like how I understand them. The mental health issues that have been confirmed by my psychologist that I have is depression, anxiety, and paranoia. These sound like symptoms someone who is insane would have and when someone disagrees with my life style as a openly trans pan sexual man they say I’m mentally ill. My mental health issues get used again my a lot and that mostly makes them even harder to deal with, I’m not alone in that either. My friends and family LGBTQ+ or not all have the same history of being called insane for their differences in things, regardless of gender indenification or sexuality. Social media has a effect on it as well and that’s why I don’t have many social medias or connections on the World Wide Web. In public the mental health community as well as the LGBTQ + community can be killed in the streets just for existing some days. American is proud of being “ free” and that is far from the truth. To a lot of minorities it feels like if your not a skinny straight cis Christian white man you will be treated like your not even a bleeding human being. Sometimes you can even be killed for it and god forbid the community’s have riots, peaceful protests, or even pride parades. The people who ask “ where’s the straight pride parade,” this is the reason. If you haven’t walked in the shoes of someone who has been to hell and back for being who they are and still get told that they’ll go to hell, do not ever try to take away the pride they feel for surviving every day they can, because it takes a new kind of bravery to be your self in a world full of mean-less wars and hateful ideals.
'Once Upon a Time in Hollywood' Insight Scholarship
The words ‘ Once upon a time in Hollywood’ sparks the idea of how moneys have influence social norms and saying over time. If theirs a blonde haired skinny girl that is rude someone might say, “ she’d a bit of a Regina George.” That name alone would summon up the imagine of the main villain from the movie ‘ Mean Girls’. That movie is considered older now but it still has had a big impact on future generations since it’s showing in movie theatre's everywhere. Other movies have had this phenomenon as well, movies like the Star Wars series, The Godfather, as well as The Shining. The movies themselves are not the only influence form Hollywood though, the actors and directors of movies play a roll as well. For example the artist and movie director Tim Burton is so influential though out the art community that if you have ever took a art class his style of drawing was probably a stylization you have heard brought up in class. Tim Burton also uses this strange style to make well loved stop motion Movies, he also has make live action flicks. The actors also have a big amount of influence, Johnny Depp is a prefect example of this. Johnny Depp has a good bit of the main roles in Tim Burton’s pieces, roles like Captain Jack Sparrow, Wonka in ‘Charlie and the chocolate factory,’ and he’s played the role of Sweeney Todd the demon barber of Fleet Street. Socially this actor is well associated with his recent defamation trial against his ex wife, Amber Heard. That trial had been integrated into our culture now with the use of memes and jokes surrounding the case. References from movies made in Holly Wood or the actors that influences them have now sneaked there way into everyday life, you cannot go one day of any social media platform without seeing a reference to some movie or show no matter how old it might be. Personally shows like Sponge Bob have been seen everywhere, most of the references were from seasons one through season four. Even thought season one through four was on screen since may, 1st, 1999 all the way to July, 24, 2007. Every time someone sees a random rock now they instinctively repeat the iconic quote, “ it’s not just a boulder! ( he sniffs ) it’s a rock!” Holly Wood has had this affect on social norms since the beginning of cinema. The movie ‘ The Wizard of Oz’ is piece of cinema that came out in 1939, that movie came out 84 years ago as of now and it’s still referenced and talked about to this day. This movie is one of the pillars that created the Hollywood we have all come to know in the present day, so this is what pops into my mind with the sentence of ‘ Once upon a time in Hollywood.’
    “Stranger Things” Fanatic Scholarship
I would choose Steve, Eddie, and Eleven. I would choose these three for there specific strengths and weaknesses when encountering a threat, as well as their stats. To begin with Steve is very athletic and addition to this he’s very smart even though that’s not the frist think you notice about him. Steve is very good at rallying up the group and mashing his way through monsters with his bat, that’s why he’s frist pick to be on my team. My second pick for a team was Eddie, he’s a fast runner and he is shown to know how to survive in situations like being hunted by the whole town for being a alleged cult leader. He is also good as a decoy for the monsters to focus on when the rest of the team needs to do something without having the threat of being noticed. The one other reason I picked him was for his weakness that can also be a strength for the group, he is loyal in the point and with put himself in harms way and even die if it means he can protect his friends; That is what means Eddie a prefect second pick for the group. Lastly we have a great pick to complete the group, Eleven. Eleven has not lost her unique skills to see into the upside down, she has a bond to it that no other character has expect Will. I didn’t pick will because he’s been shown to be more of a victim to this connection as well as not being able to control it like Eleven can. Eleven is also a good personality to have, she is brave and loyal. She also has made strategy with the rest of the group in order to defeat the monsters. Either in a DND campaign or in real life I would choose these three to help me survive the next on coming threat that plagues the town.
    Darclei V. McGregor Memorial Scholarship
I begin my journey to this point in life in middle school, I have never been sure what career I wanted to take part in until I started listening to true crime stories. I got interested by how differently someone’s mind could work from the mainstream way of thinking. This inspired me to pursue psychology as well as eventually coming to the conclusion that I wanted to be a psychological profiler for the BAU (behavioral analysis unit) of the FBI. I have seen the way family’s would be affected by crimes that were committed, unsolved or cold cases leaving the family’s with no closure for the suffering they have to be burdened with. This is why I want this career, it means more then money to me. In order to become a FBI profiler I would like to have experience as a therapist.I want to have this experience because of the fact that I’ve had experience in my personal life with mental illness along with the fall into depression within the LGBTQ+ community. I specifically want a doctorate degree in psychology to help comfort all the kids suffering with family’s that either do not want them, do not understand them, or think badly of them. Once I obtain a bachelors degree I plan to start working in the field to show these kids that their not alone as well as knowing that the pain will eventually end. With these experiences under my belt I will be more then prepared to become a profiler when I graduate from college. I will be able to personally bring a helping hand into guiding this world into being somewhat of a better place to live in for anyone with mental illness. From there I can only hope that I succeed in these goals so that these children that feel as if something is or has always been wrong with them can know that there wrong in only thinking that. They are different, that may be true but they still deserve the same as everyone else. This goal includes our future generations, I wish for them to have confidence that they can grow up safe from being bullied, experiencing hate, and feeling alone in this or that atlest in the event that they do have to go through that they can have a safe place to talk about it without fear of being punished for who they were born to be or be exposed to people who just do not understand. With the money from this scholarship it will fund my cause as well as my ideals, and it will help me achieve the goal of helping all the future generations all after me. To make sure that the list of hurt, tramaized, and abused or stigmatized mentally ill youth do not grow longer and longer with every passing day or atlest I hope to help make that list a little bit shorter every day to slowly try to break it down. I have big goals in my life, but I need to start somewhere. I start here, I begin this transition in life with getting and applying for scholarships as well as getting grants all I can, I will also be trying my best to get into college along with getting the grades needed for me to succeed in my life’s work. My purpose in life moreover the reason I was born was all for this, I personally hold the belief that this is what I was meant to do. I hope this life long goal I have had also aspires the younger generations after me to follow a similar path to the one I am blazing for myself. To be confident and not in fear of who they are or what they are. No matter what anyone tells them online or in person to your face. Everyone deserves to exist and to have their own goals and happiness, no matter what the equivalent of that is to them. Psychology has always been a interest of mine ever since I was about seven to eight years old. I have wondered what makes people act and talk the way they do towards each other. Why people hated each other so much or why do I think differently compared to other people, was the questions I was always asked myself. Ever since I have been dead set on finding out the answer to that question and many more I had wondered about all my life. I have pondered on that question for about a decade now and I had only gotten bits and pieces of a answer, maybe the question itself is impossible to answer. It is my belief that I will get answers to that question after I succeed in supporting people and researching into abnormal mind sets and mental states or conditions in everyday people. Assisting stigmatized people will encourage this world be a little less hateful due to the fact that we all have one similarity, we’re all human. We all bleed red no matter what we look like or think like. We all deserve to live a life without discrimination, hate, and fear that someone will not try to understand their point of view and will go ahead and just judge them for it. I know it is impossible to stop the sigma behind mental health entirely, although this may be true, I care enough to try to stimulate the start of this process by little by little breaking down the system that dose not help people and do not make expectations for people who think outside the box they have put everyone in. Being mentally differing from the rest of your community can be hard, your friends may not understand you. Your family may understand you even less or think that it is there fault your not “normal” when there really is no such thing as normal. People just are, everyone just exists and their not meant to be organized and put into little boxes that label them into categories. There will always be outliners in this world no matter what group or community of people your looking at. Not every Christan prays and not everyone who prays are Christan. The mentally disabled or mentally ill community is one of those outliners in a population of neurotypical people along with the LGBTQ+ community. With the money this scholarship could offer me I can be assisted on my path through out college and be supported going into the work field of psychological studies, research, therapy, and best for last a profiler for the FBI. With this career field I will not stop advocating for the mental health community and trying my very best to promote them were ever I can. Participating In social events, charity work, and fun raisers. All of this determination in getting the scholarships needed to get through college is so I can help boost and uplift the people and community around me. To get answers to the questions I have been asking myself this pass decade, I have plans to have the next phase of my life be dedicated to this goal of getting the knowledge needed and the necessary degrees needed to finally fulfill my function as well as my purpose in life. After that I am looking forward to showing the world my findings through my research and experience on this subject so that can be another way to inspire the community as well as bring awareness to everyone that needs it in the day and age of the world and society we live in. I wish this to also directly advocate my family as well, I have mentally disabled relatives that I would use my education to promote as well as try to get them de-stigmatized in the eyes of people around them. They have been told they could not attend a few churches to to the fear of their child being “disruptive” or “ too loud.” When the day comes to where even a literal church would not open it’s doors for people who just want to follow their faith you know something needs to change. Both in the church and in the population as a whole, to attend college I will need all the scholarships I can possibly get. to have the money to make all this happen would be a great opportunity, I hope that my ambitious efforts to get the money will pay off. For my work to be appreciated, to get were I have today to be celebrated. To sum up all that has already been stated, I would like to start making that change in the world by achieving this goal I have set out to accomplish.

It’s not only about making sure the criminal never hurt someone again. It’s also about learning what makes these individuals differ from the norm. I specifically want a doctorate degree in psychology with a minor in criminology. Once I obtain a bachelors degree I plan to start working in the psychological field as a therapist for LGBTQ + youth. Book Lovers Scholarship
If I could have everyone in the world be required to read just one book, I would pick the book called “ The Giver”. I read this book in elementary school and watched the movie. It left a mark on my way of thinking ever since, It was my frist time also getting inspired to look into psychology. This book literally started me off in the path I am following in life. This book made me realize how important and messy it is to be human, and also how beautiful it can be. No matter how dark this world may get I would never choose to take all that darkness away if it meant we couldn’t have things like music, dancing, and colors. The most beautiful things are born from darkness and that’s what makes them beautiful. They have to fight tooth and nail to crawl out of their darkness to become what they are. All artists im the world have been shown to have a higher rate of struggling with mental health, mainly depression and yet they make the most beautiful things you’ll ever lay eyes on. No matter how much they feel like the world is cruel and is rotting around them they have a soul full of messy and raw emotions and passion. It is perfectly healthy and good to have those things even if it doesn’t feel good too sometimes. The book has beautiful imagery as well that makes reading it a very good sensory experience for people like me who have autism. This books shows the importance of not being prefect, because being prefect takes away all the meaning of living in life.everyone’s definition of prefect is also not the same, everyone is of different backgrounds and have different ideals about this world. So if I could have everyone in the whole world full of every single culture and language read just one book it would be “ The Giver”.

I’ve never been sure what career I wanted to take part in until I started listening to true crime stories, I got interested by how differently someone’s mind could work from the mainstream way of thinking. This inspired me to pursue psychology and eventually coming to the conclusion that I want to be a psychological profiler for the BAU (behavioral analysis unit) of the FBI. I’ve seen the way family’s would be affected by crimes that were committed, unsolved or cold cases leaving the family’s with no closure for the suffering they have to be burdened with. This is why I want this career, it means more then money to me. It’s not only about making sure the criminal never hurt someone again. It’s also about being a force of vengeance for the remaining living members of whom the crime was committed on and for the deceased that can not take the vengeance themselves. I specifically want a doctorate degree in psychology with a minor in criminology. Once I obtain a bachelors degree I plan to start working in the psychological field as a therapist for LGBTQ + youth. With this experience under my belt I will be more then prepared to become a profiler when I graduate from college. I will be able to personally bring a helping hand into making sure murders, pedophiles, and every other type of criminal will be caught. From there I can only hope the rest of law enforcement do there job to not allow them on the streets again to keep us all safe. This includes our future generations, I want them to have confidence that they can grow up safely or that atlest if they do get criminal actions taken against them they will get to see the criminal be put were they belong, jail. With the money from this scholarship it will fund my cause, and it will help me achieve my goal of saving future victims. To much sure that the list of victims don’t grow longer with every passing day or atlest I want to help make that list shorter. I have big goals in life but I need to start somewhere, I start here; I begin with getting applying for scholarships and grants all I can, trying my best to get into college and get the grades needed for me to succeed in my life’s work. My purpose in life and the reason I was born was all for this, I personally believe this is what I was meant to do. I hope this goal aspires the younger generations after me to follow a similar path to the one I am blazing.
