To whom this may concern,
Greetings and thank you for taking the time to view my profile! My name is Jaclyn Chambers and I am a senior at Har-ber High School.
I am a passionate learner who has dreamed of the day that I would be studying in college. But, as the time for college has drawn nearer I can't help but feel the financial burden weighing heavy in my heart. My mother has done everything to ensure that I would have a better future including moving states as a way to open more opportunities. I am doing my best to chase these opportunities as a chance to not only give myself a better future but also my mother.
When I reach college I am interested in studying something in the STEM field. I find that my educational strengths are in math and science. Though I don't have a specific major yet I hope that whatever I choose in the future will be used to change the world around me for the better. I deeply value my community around me and all the communities around the world.
Thank you for considering me,
Jaclyn Chambers

Most of what I have learned about finances are from required classes sprinkled throughout my education. Though I know there is still a lot to learn about financing out there I find that the little I have learned has greatly impacted how I spend and save money.
One of the greatest lessons that still sticks with me is from seventh grade when we learned to set up a budget. I find that a lot of my frugality comes from this lesson where I learned how to cut unnecessary expenses. In this class we also watched a video on people who used coupons and even though I don't really use coupons now I found it very inspirational to find the efficient item for price and the value of the product.
When I became older and got into high school I was required to take economics and personal finance. I remember feeling so achieved when I first balanced a check book. A take away I had from this class was just how cautious a person has to be with their money. There are people out there who want to scam you and will do anything in their power to take your money and information. But, you also need to be cautious in the sense of keeping track of how you spend your money. For one it's very helpful to balance a check book and missing one thing can send you into chaos, so I learned. Also, it makes you aware of there being any wrong charges or spending your money.
I find that the best learning usually takes place in real life moments. As I am about to go into college I know that money will be tight as I try to pay for various things including the very pricey college tuition. Since money will be very tight in the future budgeting will be extremely helpful to ensure that I pay off my college tuition and keep up with the basic things I need for survival. Being cautious with money will also be helpful just to ensure that I am not going astray to lose money that I do not know.
I am a little nervous about finances in the future but I also am excited because I know that it will be an excellent learning situation. But, I do know that I shouldn't have much to fear because I have an amazing family and support system that will help me move forward.

To have a binge-worthy show I believe that it needs to be comforting in some way whether it's the characters or the setting. The show also needs to incorporate some sort of comedy and drama to keep everything moving smoothly. A TV show that I have found to check all of the boxes in previous years was the TV show Gilmore Girls.
Gilmore Girls has a way of captivating everyone in some way. Gilmore Girls is a TV show that almost anyone from a teenager to an older adult will love. There's drama, there's tension, and there's room for an argument over any and every character. If you're on any form of social media you have most likely heard Jess' heart-wrenching speech to Rory, "Why did you drop out of Yale!?" or have witnessed an epic argument between "Team Dean" and "Team Jess". However, the fan base of Gilmore Girls is not just enclosed to the drama of the show, there are also cozy and heart-touching moments that every Gilmore Girl fan holds near and dear to heart. There's the Rory Gilmore studying goals that almost every high school and college girl strives for. There are also touching moments between characters such as when tough guy Luke goes out of his way to try to protect Rory's heart. The Gilmore Girls plot offers so much to a viewer and that's what I discovered the first time I watched Gilmore Girls.
In my freshman year of high school, my mom and I had gotten tired of rewatching mundane TV shows. It felt like the same plot over and over. One day my mom decided that we should start the TV show Gilmore Girls. So, we started it and if I'm being honest at first I thought that it was one of the most boring TV shows ever about a bratty teenager. But, all of a sudden I became hooked. I loved the character Rory Gilmore I once thought she was a bratty teenager but then I saw her character growth. Rory Gilmore made me want to study like there was no tomorrow which was very beneficial to my grades. Lorelai (Rory's mother) and Emily Gilmore (Rory's grandmother) had a comedic and teeth-grinding relationship. I couldn't help but laugh sometimes and want to scream in horror at others. After my mom and I watched the show once and were starting it again we convinced my older sister to also watch it. So now watching Gilmore Girls is a yearly tradition in our family.
Some may consider Gilmore Girls a basic, flat, boring show but it is so much more than that. There are so many aspects and details in the show that it's almost impossible to get bored of it. It's funny and the storyline has constant plot twists. Also, a TV show has to be good in our household to be rewatched traditionally. Gilmore Girls has so much to offer and it's an incredible show that everyone should give a try and watch.
