"Be the change you want to see". Hello! Namaste! My name is Isha and this quote most succinctly spells out the mission and purpose in my life. Being a child of two immigrants, as well as the first in my family to pursue a four-year bachelor's degree, I am an individualistic person who simultaneously hopes to connect and build communities amongst people of different origins through climate technology and advocacy. As someone who has spent time living in both India and the United States, I have observed the various ways in which sustainability issues impact nations of various economic statuses (such as air and water pollution, microplastics, extreme weather, and more). These issues are especially close to my heart due to the long lineage of farming in my family and a deep-seated love for the Earth which we call home. I have used social entrepreneurship and engineering to create platforms such as The Green Sleep Project to be a medium for this change. For me, entrepreneurship in the service of others has been the most effective method of reaching a large number of people. It is a tool to not only bring about cultural change, but also create an impact and livelihood. I hope to use my Princeton engineering education to be at the forefront of change in cleantech, social entrepreneurship, and technology. Using this education, I hope to travel around the world and bring sustainable solutions to communities that need them the most. Such a nomadic lifestyle is quite untraditional, but I am bound by my passions to listen to the aspiration and value of serving others.
