My name is Isabel I am 22years old. I am a mom to a 7 year old. I became a mom when I was 15. I finished high school while being a teen mom. Right after high school I then started college. I am the first in my family to be in college. For my future I know I want to give my daughter the best life I can give her. To be able to have a better life I need to finish school and with that I am in a great school to get a great education. I am so great full I am in nursing school. It’s is my passion to become a Registered Nurse. I know I will be the best I can be. Since I had her young. It was very hard for me to finish school but I knew I could. When I put my mind to things I know I can accomplish it. My goal is to graduate in 2025 with a bachelors degree in nursing. My goal is to be come a Registered Nurse in a hospital. Taking care of patients is a very good thing to help the community and saving lives. I truly care for people and want to help as much people as I can. I plan on finishing school and when I do finish I can finally be free of any worry about life. I will be able to live a good life and also help people everyday for a living is the best kind of way to live. Knowing that I will be able to make someone’s day by healing them and to be healthier is a wonderful thing to accomplish. Getting this scholarship will help me tremendously because I do not work I am a full time student and mom. Nursing school is not a cheap thing to pay for when you are trying to be a full time student and mom all at the same time. I am hoping I will be the lucky so that one day when I am finally a nurse I will be able to look back and see what I’ve accomplished all the hard work will pay off in the end. I will never give up on becoming a Registered Nurse. It’s my number one goal is to save lives. If I receive this scholarship I will be so happy and grateful that it will take off so much stress and off my shoulder because nursing school is already stressful on it’s own. Thank you.

Dashanna K. McNeil Memorial Scholarship
My goal in life is to be a good person to others, one way I can achieve this this is to become a registered Nurse to help others when most vulnerable and need the most care for their health. I can achieve this by going to a great nursing school that will help me in the future when I am a Registered Nurse. I will be the first to graduate college in my family. Something that 100 percent inspired me to become a Registered Nurse is when I gave birth to my daughter at 15. I remember being in labor and the nurses were so kind and helpful to me. It made me feel safe and I was in good hands. They did everything in their power to make feel comfortable. I am grateful for that experience. So now that I am 22 and my daughter is 7 years old, I want to be able to have a good life doing what I love for who I love and my daughter is one reason I want to become a labor and delivery nurse from the experience at the hospital. Becoming a labor and delivery nurse was inspired by the best day of my life meeting my daughter for the first time and knowing what I want to do forever in my career is so amazing. I know I will love being a Registered Nurse helping people give birth to their babies is something so beautiful and and only is going to happen if you have the right nurse by their side helping and genuinely caring for not one but two patients. I have not gave up or never will give up. When I put my mind to something I will be successful in anything I put my mind to and going through nursing school will be hard but will be so worth it in the end. I will take on the challenge of nursing school because I am genuinely interested in becoming a Registered Nurse to help others with their health and save lives to the best of my ability. With a good school to go to I will be able to call my self a Registered Nurse one day and be proud of what I accomplished. Be proud that I put my self through school. I will work hard to be successful through our nursing school. I will do anything in my power to finish school and be a good person my daughter will look up to.
