Battling with dyslexia has taught me that hard work pays off. I learned about my learning disability early in high school but dyslexia has effected me all through my life. It has shaped my goals in life. I know that whatever I want to accomplish, I need to work extra hard for it. This has changed my attitude towards trying my best. When I was in high school, all I wanted was to just pass classes and get them done. Now that I am in college, I have changed my attitude for better. I want to learn, do my best, and exceed expectations. I have made working hard fun for me and it gives me satisfaction to get amazing feedback from my professors. My goals at USF are to learn more ways to make life easier for me in terms of reading and comprehension as those are the areas I struggle the most with. What I would like to accomplish here at USF is to encourage other students with learning disabilities to thrive for their best and help others find suitable ways to study. I know how hard it is to find the right way to study because I am still looking to better my ways. I think many who have dyslexia think they are less intelligent than others, at least I used to, and I would also like to help others to respect themselves more and lift up their confidence. I know for sure I want to be an entrepreneur and be able to travel the world. I’m interested in graphic design and real estate! I want to be able to travel with my “office” with me, so I can be influenced my all the cultures and wonders we have on this planet. I want my work to reflect the things I have and will experience!
