Bio

I hope to work in the field of sports one day. I would like to be apart of a non profit for a sports team or player because I am very passionate about servant leadership. I should be considered for scholarships because I have worked hard and shown leadership in many different ways to where I am an amazing candidate.

I play for Putnam City North in Oklahoma City, Our mascot is a panther and we have about 30 guys in the program a pretty small group but we work like a family. The reason I love baseball is because of the community it is always so easy to find someone who plays baseball and you've probably played against them and can talk about that. Also being with friends, it is always the nonsports-related memories we remember, I've learned that wins and losses won't matter when I'm older and the friends that I've made and the memories we've shared will be remembered forever. One of those memories is when we played in the summer and had a tournament in Kansas and we had an off day and went around Wichita and did an escape room and did so many other things in the city but it was something we did because of baseball but wasn't related. My favorite player of all time is a little surprising and has a funny story to it. It is Bryan De La Cruz with the Miami Marlins, while watching a game in OKC when he was in AAA, he was playing for the Sugar Land Skeeters, and we were talking to the bullpen and Enoli Paredes told me to call him "El Mickey D" so I go back to my seat and he was playing right field and I yelled it out and he looked at me with a hatred stare like I wasn't supposed to call him that. I'm assuming he got the nickname because he likes McDonald's and his teammates gave him that nickname. So I call him that and he basically ignores me the rest of the game. After the game, I follow him on Instagram and send him a message. I said "so sorry for the mickey d comments" not thinking he was going to respond and then he did, he told me to chill with some laughing emojis and then I went to go see him again the next day and called him LeBron because he likes that nickname and built a relationship with him. So that's the fun story behind my favorite player. My favorite team is something I fell into as my whole family is Yankee fans and I've been a fan ever since I started watching the MLB. It's not much of an interesting story but that's how I became a Yankee fan. Hopefully, with Aaron Judge named captain as of today, we get another world series ring pretty soon as long as the Astros don't destroy us in the ALCS like they do every year. Now I read the question about my favorite position and I'm assuming that's asking what I love to play so that's what I'll write about. So I love to pitch, I'm left-handed and just fell into pitching when we started in little league. It was something that I've always been good at and stuck with. I always get told I'm the most emotional player on my team when I pitch but I take that as a compliment because I pitch every game with passion and feel that everyone on that other team is my rival. I love it because it allows me to control the game and mess up the other team's tempo. It's also what I'll be going to college for and it's my best position. I truly enjoy the game of baseball and if I didn't have baseball I wouldn't be the man or leader I am today without it.
