Bio

I would like to have a leadership role in the cyber security field one day. I am passionate about helping others before worrying about myself. One main reason why I tend to help others is because it heals a part of me that someone needed to help me. I am also a type 1 diabetic. I was diagnosed in 2020 when I was 15, I spent half my life without it. I feel as if I would be a good candidate for scholarships because of my eagerness to learn through education and I would hope one day I'd make a positive impact to the world and help others!

My experience with mental illness has had a profound impact on my beliefs, relationships, and career aspirations, particularly in the field of cybersecurity. Having faced mental health challenges myself, I have come to realize how vulnerable one can feel during a mental health crisis. This has given me a deeper understanding of the importance of protecting personal information and data privacy. I believe that mental health and digital security are interconnected because the protection of one's personal information can be crucial during a mental health crisis. In light of this, I have become passionate about advocating for increased awareness and education about cybersecurity and data privacy. My personal experience has led me to understand the importance of securing personal data and how the lack of proper security measures can leave individuals exposed and vulnerable. I believe that as a society, we need to be more aware of these risks and take steps to better protect ourselves and others. In my relationships, my experience with mental illness has taught me the importance of trust and confidentiality. I have learned to value the privacy of others and understand the need to protect their sensitive information. These lessons have translated well into the field of cybersecurity, where trust and confidentiality are essential components of building secure systems. My experience with mental illness has also influenced my career aspirations in the field of cybersecurity. I believe that my personal experience has given me a unique perspective and a passion for protecting personal data. I am interested in pursuing a career as a cybersecurity analyst, where I can use my technical skills and knowledge to protect individuals and businesses from cyber attacks. I believe that my background in mental health gives me a unique perspective and skillset that can be valuable in the cybersecurity industry. In addition to my interest in cybersecurity, I am also exploring related fields such as data analytics and computer science. I believe that a strong foundation in these fields can help me to better understand and address the cybersecurity risks that individuals and businesses face today. Ultimately, my experience with mental illness has taught me the importance of protecting personal information and data privacy. It has shaped my beliefs, relationships, and career aspirations, and has inspired me to make a positive impact in the world by helping to secure and protect valuable data. I believe that by combining my technical skills and passion for mental health advocacy, I can help to build a safer and more secure digital world for all.
