Bio

Hello, I am Hudson Friedman a student at Oak Park High School graduating in 2025. Throughout my life, I have had a passion for education and helping others. Apart from my weekly schedule, I continue to thrive and develop new skills to help me succeed in the real world, from learning to do the moonwalk to educating myself on how I can improve my leadership ability and recently learning more about ocean acidification and coral bleaching through an experiment with vinegar and a sea shell! Activities: - Schoolhouse.world: founded by the creator of Khan Academy to promote free tutoring. Additionally, I have experience as an administrator, auditor, social media content creator, and community engagement team member. - Key Club: I am the secretary of my school's key club and the member recognition coordinator for the division team (over 10 schools). - Speech and Debate: As part of my school's speech and debate team, I am a social media content creator and a top impromptu speaker in my league. - Volunteer Hebrew Teacher - Art camp CIT: For the past 2 years ... and so much more. My goal is to strive to do better and improve my abilities in many different aspects, all thanks to school and my education! "Motivate and push your-self gradually and you will achieve things that are unimaginable" - Hudson Max Friedman

A land of pure beauty lies decades in the past The new inhabitants of the land destroy the color blast With white lilies fading away, The habitat is purely a dying bouquet These new inhabitants are creatures too They were monsters to be exact, with their very own worldview Complex creatures that shoveled the land, Charred the trees, and blurred the fine air, They ignored the development of this new wasteland The monster's new home is desperation and regret lies in their very own command Although these creatures are living their lives, underneath the surface, the crust is beginning to decay, life will no longer live, and oceans will be brown, the land and the sky will never be found Innovation is a power that drives It brings finance and money but eliminates lives It is a tool that can create, like fire, Fire can forge products at once, but can bring harm with an uncontrolled amplifier Tree after tree Branch after branch Ash after ash And wood after wood The light in the orb is fading away The sphere is decaying, oh what more can I say The deep seas are ones to also complain, they told me their homes were now white Bleaching in thin air The gardens in the water are getting blown away, please don’t pollute me, please please creature, it is our land Color after color Bleach after bleach Fish after fish Calamari to eat The light in the globe is fading away The orb is decaying, oh what more can I say The elements of life are far more complex than what can be seen outside the shell When something small is adjusted, it affects the whole scene The native species of this land rely on the environment to provide nutrients, homes, and a great hair doo But when the monsters come in, they destroy their homes, eat their food, and tangle their hair doo These monsters are beasts and so are we, we walk around like we are king and queen We kill the plants, eat the fish, capture animals, and make money for free. We will deport them from home, cook them on a stove, and play tag with these native species but instead, with a gun Meat after meat Sheep after sheep Life after life Knife after knife The light in the orb is fading away The orb is decaying, oh what more can I say The creatures that once inhabited this land are dying and dying being wiped from the face of our nation Their homes are gone, their food is stolen from them, they're put into cages and forced to be the site of entertainment One by one Lung by lung Heart by heart And Tounge by the tongue, Our orb of light is fading away Our orb is decaying, oh what more can I say

    Bold Technology Matters Scholarship
At the age of 8, one of my closest friends was seriously injured in a car accident. Her sweetest and kindest qualities make her an excellent person to know, always willing to show thought for others. She was diagnosed with problems beyond the doctors' control, even a skull fracture that may require multiple surgeries and time to heal, in addition to the possibility of failure with those procedures. When I learned Ossiform was creating a new product to help with these types of issues, it changed my perception of technology as something addictive, to learn that technology is a graceful tool that assists. Despite the fact that technology comes in many different forms, the future rests on Ossiform. A company called Ossiform specializes in 3-D printing and has come up with the idea of 3-D bones. With this new upcoming masterpiece, people who break bones will be able to have them replaced with parts. Although this task may seem insignificant, it will ultimately save hundreds of thousands of lives that are lost or punctured due to multiple reasons. A few of these reasons may be overpriced replacements, long recovery times, complications, and so on. However, when I heard about Ossiform's new invention I was blown away. I learned that technology is important in everyday life, but when it impacts the world and saves lives, it is more valuable than things like virtual reality. My goal is to make the world a better place, and the tools they are creating help me feel like the world is being curved in the right direction. In the same way that technology grows, so do humans, allowing them to do things impossible to one but possible to another. By using it, people will be able to function and recover from injuries or issues that are in their control and out of their control. Thousands of people rely on technology in their everyday lives providing a form of communication, but technology can also provide resources to save people's lives! That is why I am excited about the new upcoming inventions of Ossiform, hoping that their message and products will spread around and help the world and my best friend.

    Bold Bravery Scholarship
When I was eight years old my mom decided to take me to a water park for the first time. I went up to the biggest and scariest slides, not understanding what was scary or not at that age. I heard kids twice my size screaming and crying because the water slide was to scary, but I wasn't afraid. I wanted to show these kids that I was brave, so I leaped into the waterside head first. Luckily I survived with a few bruises and rug burns. My mom always tells me this story when I don't try new things. If third grade me can do it, then the 9th grade me can do it too. That one experience taught me to face my fears, because the only thing that brings you down is fear itself. The idea of being scared of everything causes you to be open to nothing. Trying new things not only helps keep you be open minded, but also makes you feel great inside. Everyday I tell myself to try something new. Such as eating Broccoli Pea Soup to going surfing for the first time. I began to grow as a person. Learning new skills that I enjoy or learning that I hate Broccoli Pea Soup. But I will never stop pushing my self. I face my fears one day at a time. I learned that I have to be bold in this world to survive. The lions won't get meals unless they fight, kids won't learn to walk unless they try it, and the world wouldn't be the place it is if it wasn't for bravery. So never give up and be like me. That cool little boy who wasn't afraid of anything!
