I am a Godly woman in recovery who wants to use my experience, strength, and hope to help other women struggling with addiction. Ultimately my goal is to start a ministry that helps those in sober living and rehabilitation facilities to find jobs, homes, and counseling, as well as to be a source of support in their recovery.

I have been in recovery for 2 1/2 years and even though it hasn’t always been easy, it has been the best time of my life. In my addiction I was homeless, disconnected to my parents and kids, and was forced into human trafficking. Two and a half years later, I am active in my community as a sponsor in AA and NA, and I mentor woman that are in a local inpatient program locally. I met a man in recovery and we just got married in September. He is a veteran and works for the City of Mount Dora and he is wonderfully encouraging and supportive. I just started my Masters program in Human Services with a focus on Addiction Counseling at Liberty University.
With my degree I hope to start a ministry that helps people that are coming out of sober living and rehabilitation programs to find employment, an education, and a place to live in the community. Staying connected to a recovery network is so important and I want to help people in early recovery build a beautiful life.
Thank you for your consideration.
