Hi, I'm Hannah and I live in Oxford, Pennsylvania. I love spending time with my nieces and traveling.
As a high school senior, I am pursuing further education in the medical field. My goal is to become a nurse, possibly in the neonatal, pediatric, or emergency departments, and eventually earn my master's degree to become a nurse practitioner.
I am passionate about taking care of people and bringing them hope. In the nursing profession, I will have the opportunity to help people heal. I am very excited to begin nursing school and my career!

Giving People Hope
Avani Doshi truly embodied what it means to be kind and compassionate. As a dear friend, she has inspired me to pursue a career that will allow me to help others every day and share hope with those who are hurting. In the years since her passing, I have learned how to love people and care about the needs of others. Through my part-time job at BB’s Grocery Outlet, I engage with customers with a friendly demeanor and compassionate perspective. My intention is to brighten each person’s day and treat every individual with respect so they might be encouraged. Going forward, I want to continue to grow in these attributes as I further my education and become a nurse practitioner.
As a nurse, my goal is to bring light to patients in their darkest and most painful moments. Like Avani, I want to be known for my joy and kindness. In the hospital environment, there are medical professionals who are burnt out and feel burdened by the disease, disability, and distress of patients. This is an area where I can make a difference. My display of compassion and hope could inspire other healthcare workers to stay positive and provide the highest quality of care. In the medical field, I will work hard to administer treatments and procedures effectively. When interacting with patients, I will listen to their concerns and respond graciously even when it means that I have to go out of my way to help. My desire is that by genuinely caring for patients and giving them hope, I will be able to aid in the process of healing and recovering from any illness or injury. Small acts of kindness such as a gentle touch, an extra blanket, or a listening ear can make a world of difference for the individuals I care for.
In addition to these efforts as a nurse, I would like to expand healthcare access on a global scale. In May of 2022, I attended a medical mission's trip to the Dominican Republic. Our team of doctors and nurses worked to provide medical services and medications to underprivileged communities. From this trip, I learned the importance of increasing availability of medical services in impoverished locations. Therefore, my goal as a nurse (and eventually a nurse practitioner) is also to assist on similar trips, applying my knowledge and skills in order to bring hope in places without reliable healthcare access. I believe I can make a positive impact on the world as a nurse who always values her patients and is willing to go far distances to bring healing.
