Throughout my life my career goals have changed. It started with wanting to be a veterinarian when I was six-years-old. Later it evolved into going to massage therapy school after highschool to become a licensed massage therapist. Then, someone gave me the advice to "just keep moving towards what you are most interested in" and I finally found my passion in mental health care. I am currently a masters student at the University of North Florida in the clinical mental health counseling program. It is my long term goal to become a licensed mental health clinician and own my own therapy practice. The population I feel most called to work with are those with eating disorders, substance use disorders, traumatic stress, and the LGBTQIA+ community. I enjoy teaching zumba classes that act as fundraisers for LGBTQIA+ organizations. The LGBTQIA+ community is underrepresented and as a queer individual I am passionate about being an advocate for sexual minorities.
