The value each person possesses is a subject that has no measurement, that how unique and special we are. It has always been my passion to be able to help people in ways that truly benefit them in any manner. I am blessed to be intelligent and smart to understand the system and process the human body use to sustain life. Being a medical doctor would allow me to help people when they are at their lowest and many times have little to no hope. There is always hope and I want to be the beacon of light that shines that hope onto the patient, truly allowing them to recover but in the process recognizing the beauty that life holds for us. Since I was little I knew I would not be able to have a job that is 9-5 at a desk, I need a job that will allow me to feel that Impacting a person's life day to day. That feeling is what going to sustain me and excite me to work as a medical doctor. It is that feeling that will allow me to love my job forever because as appealing as money is, it will get old and will not be able to let you love your job. I know that feeling of helping will always carry so I will always be satisfied with my job. I want to be able to aid patients that need more serious care so that's why being a trauma surgeon is the specific career I want to pursue. I can truly make a difference in patients' lives but also I thrive in environments where a person's life is balanced because at that point there is nothing in the world that even comes close to that significance. The path to becoming a medical doctor is long and strenuous but I have been dreaming of the goal for so long that I will not let any obstacle or barrier stop me from pursuing it. I might stumble and have setbacks but you can be certain I will stand up and continue forward if I am physically able to move. Becoming a medical doctor is what feels is the correct pathway for me. I will serve my purpose through this and was blessed with the ethics and personality to be successful and become the best medical doctor that is in order for me.

My name is Hamza Nure and I'm 22 years old and going attending UC Merced. I am majoring in human biology with plans of attending medical school to become a trauma surgeon. I am a senior going into my fifth year exploring the variety of options present. I am a first-generation college student so like many every aspect is new and is being learned step by step which can be challenging. I am a hardworking student but to the point, I did not take breaks to rest which contributed to difficulties of all sorts ranging from financial issues to mental health issues, and even identity crises. Like many parents, they do their best in their capacity to help but there are a variety of issues that passes their expertise of knowledge and are left for me to figure out. I am in many ways grateful for the issues I had experienced because they acted as a learning experience but importantly bring out a side of me I wasn't aware of. It pushed me passed my limits to be able to grow beyond what my mental capacity was capable of. It was tremendously difficult and periods were there was no solution but just to pray for a solution to resolve problems with many complexities. My parents supported me with what they can, they supported me by just being there and giving love and being compassionate which helped calm me. My parents are immigrants and had other concerns to attend to just to be able to live day to day. I sometimes felt as if the problems I was experiencing were not even comparable to theirs but no matter the problems experienced, they are still real issues that cause worry and stress. I had seen my parents go through so many challenges sometimes not knowing if it was going to be resolved, those qualities always stick with me because if they resolved their problems without knowing, I know I can work hard and through enough dedication WIN. Using their work ethic has had results because I have done and gone through many tasks that I had believed I was not able to accomplish but I did break the mental limitation I placed on myself which is such a transformative experience in my growth mission. This taught me a lot about my capacity and it is limited by your own self staying within it's comfort zone as a safety mechanism.
