This scholarship will help me pursue my dreams of higher education without worrying about the financial burden. It will allow me to focus on my studies and extracurricular activities without the added stress of paying for tuition, textbooks, and any other expenses. Not only that, but my mother will not have to help me pay for any school-related supplies. I come from a low-income household, where my mom barely makes 28,000 dollars a year. For as long as I could remember, I've shared a room with my brother and my mom. It has never bothered me that much, but I want to continue my education and be the one to buy my mom her place. I've grown up seeing my mom desiring so many things in her life, but could not get them because of the lack of space in our rented room. With this scholarship, I could focus on applying to any internships, volunteering in my community or college community, and entering any programs that'll help me advance in my career. It'll also motivate me to work harder. I know that if I do not put effort into my classes and get the grades I need, this scholarship could be taken away from me at any moment. By having this extra money in my hands, I could pay more attention to my schoolwork and be able to achieve the grades I desire. I will make the most out of this opportunity and strive to become a leader in my community. This scholarship will also help me get a step closer to achieving my dreams. And that big dream, is becoming a gynecologist. This has been my dream career since I was 14. I want to make women feel comfortable and heard whenever they come to their appointments regarding their reproductive health. The money that comes with this career is just a plus to me, what I am more excited about is helping women and making them feel secure with me. With the money I earn, I will be able to give back to my mother for all the amazing things she has done for me. Shes done so much for me and my brother and I want to keep thanking her by giving her things she couldn't have when she was younger. And I will first start by getting purchasing a house for her. This will show her how much I appreciate and love her for everything shes done for me. This scholarship will help get further in life, and appreciate the things around me much more.
