Hi! My name is Gianna, and I am a dedicated and passionate individual with a diverse background in healthcare, research, writing, advocacy, and community service. As an active member of the Health Occupations Students Association (HOSA), I competed in regional and state-level competitions, gaining insights into various healthcare careers. During high school I was also accepted to the University of Michigan Aspirnaut Summer Research Internship Program, where I collected soil samples for drug discovery research, collaborating with fellow interns to present our findings to graduate students and professors. In the Michigan Humanities "Same Mission Many Stories" program, I facilitated discussions on the experiences of women veterans, advocating for congressional reform and hosting conversations on a statewide platform. I hope to be an advocate for those in need and work towards creating a more inclusive and equitable society. As someone that believes in the importance of giving back, I have spent countless hours servicing my local community, and was awarded the Gold Presidential Volunteer Service Award in 2021.
